>Yeah, the problem is we don't live in the future, Ed, we live in the present, and in the present that shit looks ridiculous. It's not a cybernetic ear, it's a fucking cell phone headset. The only thing you gonna do wit da thing is call a bitch and unless the bitch is a Martian, there ain't no explanation for that shit to look that damn high-tech. Have you seen that shit in the mirror? You look like you're going to a fucking comic book convention!
I really should rewatch The Boondocks. When did it go to shit, season 4 right?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/lion-king-live-action-movie-casts-donald-glover-as-simba-977488
>The star has been cast in Disney's remake of The Lion King as Simba, with director Jon Favreau announcing the news on Twitter. Favreau also revealed James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Mufasa, the beloved father character he voiced in the 1994 animated original.
>Favreau first met Glover at The Hollywood Reporter's conversation on creativity in December, where Favreau told Glover his son is a fan of the star's music, which he performs under the name Childish Gambino. ("By the way, full disclosure: I see your face every day when I wake up my 15-year-old son because on his door is a portrait of you," Favreau told the actor-musician.)

9th time's the charm I guess
>Thought this would be a shitty cash-in show
>Turns out to be very funny and satirical and raises the stakes with each season
I wish this show was talked about more.
>>90006572
That's the thing with Netflix shows. There's really not much discussion for the long run once a season has been released.
There's also not much interested as, say, Voltron or Trollhunters because there's the impression that it's just a cash-in show. AHKJ is pretty amusing and I've been enjoying the greater adventure themes lately, but it's still not that far from typical Dreamworks stuff, if better executed.
Why has no one ripped Home?
>top notch manga artist keeps up with a 40 page per month serialization she is writing the story for while also doing cover work for cape shit on the side
>most american comic artists can't even keep a 20 page per month schedule and get "filled in" after 3 issues at best
What went wrong?
>>90006274
>manga artist
Usually they have like 3 dudes doing backgrounds, ink and other shit, and most of the time manga is just white and black.
>>90006367
To be fair most Americans have someone else on inks and color. Though no BG assists.
>>90006274
Because Mangaka are basically slaves?
Does /co/ like Etrigan?

Also why?

Had some interesting takes and in some ways was more ambitious than the usual Telltale fare.
Playing Wise Ass Bruce me an idea for a Archer script writeup.
Very realistic.
>>90005053
yeah he looked like archer in it. Was not really a game- even less than other tell-tale games. also mine crashed 3-4 times
Was this a good depiction of the character?
If no, what is the best version of the penguin outside of the comics?
Bonus Round: Batman TAS Penguin? Or Batman TAS season 4 Penguin?
>>90004737
>Outside of comics
No contest.
>>90004737
I feel like Burton got the Penguin wrong. He projected his own insecurities onto the penguin, making him a "why must I be a freak" character.
He is a "why must I be a freak" character, to an extent. But really, all of Batman's villains are "why must I be a freak" types. The birth defects aren't what make him special.
He's also manipulative. charming, classy (or at least he thinks he is). He's kind of Batman's bond villain. Or, if the Joker is Batman's Iago, the Penguin is Richard III.
It's a shame, because I think every subsequent Penguin portrayal has played up the "why must I be a freak" like Burton did, and I don't think that was his main thing at all.
No one likes mighty magiswords anymore.
>>90004645
I find it quite entertaining. I just wish there were more episodes. Cartoon Network doesn't really advertise it anymore
Also, I'm in love with Vambre's voice. I find it attractive in a weird sort of way
No one here liked it in the first place. :(
A goddamn space jam episode.
https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/02/dark-horse-announces-new-line-of-books-overseen-by.html
Seems like a wise move, Dark Horse need some new direction on their creator-owned front and I can't think of anyone better suited than the Queen of Vertigo herself
Surgeon X is pretty meh, especially now that the artist, who was the strongest part, has passed away. We'll see how this goes.
What Dark Horse needs is young new talent. They've already got a solid group of established legends like Darrow, Sakai, Corben, and Mingola
They need more comics like Simon Roy's Tiger Lung, Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook's Harrow County, or Damon Gentry and Aaron Conley's Sabertooth Swordsman
>>90004698
Completely agree. I think they rely far too heavily on their well-established old guard, even in Dark Horse Presents. It doesn't feel even slightly penetrable for newcomers
Why does /co/ hate this?
Is it because Batman is shoehorned in?
>>90004262
Pretty much.
It feels like that Disney Movie where the company advertised with a "Frozen short".
>Zatanna with a choker

Why can't we have thneeds AND trees? Why does it always have to be an either or proposition? That whole attitude pisses me off. The old cartoon was good, though.
She was literally the only good part of All Grown Up.

She was definitely better utilized here than she ever was on Rugrats.
