So /co/, what do you guys think about Old Man Logan? (The character)
>>94822446
I gotta hand it to Marvel, bringing into 616 was pretty clever.
They cater to movie fans (even if it's a FOX movie), bring back the real Wolverine, and still get to have their girl Wolverine.
>>94822446
It's Marvel "killing" Wolverine without actually killing him. It's safe and lazy.
>>94822511
>bring back the real Wolverine, and still get to have their girl Wolverine.
Once the real Logan comes back, Laura will have zero reason to remain as Wolverine. She only used his identity to honor him. I mean yeah, Marvel might give Logan the "Unworthy Thor" treatment or the Peter/Miles treatment, but this would go against their great claims of bringing the original heroes back into the limelight.
Doesn't quite have the same personality and looks. Feels like they were just trying to synergize with the movies by using a Logan that was less of an eternally enraged beefy manlet.
So how hard should someone try to think about this shiw?
It's my most favorite show potentially ever but I'm not sure of I should take it as pure comedy with weird thoughtless bullshit or as actual philosophical material.
>>94822403
It's not a philosophical show, it's a wordplay show. If you're able to catch on to the nuances within the characters' statements and actions, then you're witnessing one of the best comedies ever written. "Having to watch it while high," is the layman's excuse of saying, "I don't know what it means so it must have some deep philosophical meaning like Evangelion, BvS, and Buddhism."
Also unrelated but Xavier should've had onscreen sex with a woman during the show
it bothers me that he is a virgin, he shouldn't be pure
>>94822512
He literally fucked his own mom, he ain't no virgin
>"I've got so much anger..."
Why was such a relateable character wasted on a shitty movie?

>>94822343
>the last 19 seconds
Most people have pretty shitty senses of humor. When I tell them the stuff I like, they say it's much better than the shit they liked before.
>>94822343
>that joke at the end
god, it's like my boss learned to animate
I CAN'T TAKE THIS KIND OF PRESSURE
>>94822289
I must confess: One more dusty road would be just one road too long.
I just can't, I just can't,
I just can't seem to get started.
Don't have the heart to live in the fast lane. All that is passed and gone.
>>94822289
Van Dyke Parks is a fantastic composer/arranger/writer.
Even his worst is rarely less than interesting.
ITT: Characters who will never get a good movie
But that was a good movie

Tim please
I don't have an image of every Marvel and DC character

Oh I see what you're saying. I don't mean in drawing technique, I mean in the design of the characters themselves.

How about now?
What are some animations that truly wow you guys? They can be from feature films, music videos, specials, shorts, shows, whatever.
I find this whole sequence from Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure to be tremendously impressive.

>>94822533
No, this is Patrick.
>>94822578
Go home Ryan
I've got a quick question, I recently watched the newest episode of the Hotel Transylvania cartoon and I'm assuming it's the last episode of season 1.
Does anyone know when I expect to see new episodes pop up?
>>94822059
I'm sorry I don't know. The last episodes I saw were 17 & 18. Is there more after that? (any mega links to them if so?)
Tropes you want to see MORE of.
>Heroic characters that are beloved by their peers, but around villains are horrific blood knights that enjoy toying with villains way too much. But otherwise are kind hearted and good natured, they just REALLY love thrashing villains.
come to think of it, does anyone have any examples of this trope? I have a vague recollection of some but no details come to mind.
>Villains having a strict code they adhere to, refusing to deviate from it, treating their villainy more as a job than anything
>villain kicks hero's ass while singing villain song
>hero later kicks villain's ass while singing reprise of that song
>>94821929
>Heroic Ace of the show, the one who seldom appears but ALWAYS kicks ass, inexplicable has a badass tune start playing whenever they show up, and everyone else hears the tune as well.
>>94821778
Well anon, there's Sonic. He's not horrifically brutal but he just loves to snark at all of his enemies and we know he's liked/respected by the other characters. And there are examples of him stating that he loves messing with Eggman.
When the Ducktales reboot finally gets around to Scrooge's early years, will they update his backstory to account for the show happening currently?
http://ew.com/tv/2017/06/08/ducktales-exclusive-characters-cast/
>Returning as Scrooge’s longtime paramour is Goldie O’Gilt, a fellow adventurer who has a curious relationship with old McDuck. “In our adaptation, Scrooge is more of an adventure junkie than a gold addict, so we kept saying, ‘Well, if Scrooge is like Batman, then Goldie should be like Catwoman,’” says Angones. “She’s equally adventurous, every bit Scrooge’s equal, and he hates and loves that. They have this amazingly contentious relationship that’s been going on ages and ages, spanning back to the Gold Rush days.”
In conclusion, I have no idea.
>>94821770
Ideally they will go alt history route to allow for shit from the late 1800s/early 1900s to still happen.
That or they will just say fuck it, do an episode with the famed "fountain of youth" to say Scrooge drank from it and as such, is now immortal. Which in turn would give a reason for Glomgold hating his guts; Glomgold was Scrooge's up and coming rival who got fucked over when Scrooge go made immortal/made young again by drinking from the fountaint.
>>94821770
I think they will, they have changed a lot of things already
Mrs. Krabappel You're Trying To Seduce Me.
>>94821740
I was saddened that there was not a single episode in the Simpson's 20 year long run where Miss Krabappel tries tosuccessfullyseduce Bart Simpson.
McBain?
>>94821712
MENDOZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
ICE to see you.
You suck, McBain!
miles will we ever have good run?
When Bendis leaves.He wont
>>94821637
Someday, maybe. As long as Bendis isn't writing him. Fuck that guy.
>>94821637
No because
>They refuse to make him anything more then black Peter parker
>Writers wont think up new rogues and instead just drop Spiderman's villains on him
>Cant stick to any character development. Remember when his mother died in his arms and he quit being a superhero for a year?
>Current bullshit SJW stuff in Marvel makes it difficult to get him any real character development out of him
Save the earth.
