>Shocker lowers his gauntlets and thinks this over for a minute before shaking his head “No, no, this is how it always starts. Always a simple job, then it turns into some kind of crazy revenge scheme somehow, someway. I don’t know who it’ll be against, but that’s what always happens.”
>The Chameleon looks a little pissed
>Shocker continues “If I happen to find what you’re looking for, you can have it, just don’t screw this up for me. I want that prize money.”
>Shocker walks away, The Chameleon looks a little indignified as he puts his face back on

>Cut up to the sun in the sky, it changes position to indicate it is now late afternoon
>We cut to Clarence, Jeff, and Sumo, who are running around a graveyard
>Jeff and Sumo are on their knees looking into an empty, dug up grave
>Jeff: “Who do you think would do something like this?”
>Sumo: “I dunno, grave robbers? They knocked over the whole cemetery.”
>Clarence is just running around the graveyard, not paying attention to anything, Haddock is looking at the sky and around, mumbling something to himself
>Jeff: “Following that guy was a stupid idea.”
>Sumo: “What? Do you want to miss the big fight?”
>Jeff: “And that’s the other thing, I don’t think some random sailor can beat that Beast.”
>Sumo: “Hey, that guy is rude enough to eat a mummified organ, he’s gonna be alright.”

>Clarence manages to rip it off the ground, without noticing that the roots recoiled to within the doll’s back, and hugs it
>“I found you.” A disembodied voice rings in their ears
>Clarence: “Uh, did you say something?”
>Both shake their heads nervously. The doll begins to squirm in Clarence’s arms
>Clarence: “What’s happening? Can it be?”
>Jeff: “Drop that doll!”
>Clarence: “Guys, my doll… has come to life!” He squeezes the doll harder “Yay, just like Pinocchio!”
>Jeff: “Not this nonsense again.”
>Clarence: “Must be a side effect of that sorcerer’s magic, Lil’ buddy caught a bit of it and became a real boy.”
>Jeff: “Oh, so he’s a wizard now. Wasn't he supposed to be an alien?”
>Clarence: “No Jeff; aliens can’t do magic, it’s basic knowledge.”
>Sumo: “Yeah, and you’re supposed to be the smart one… hehehe.”
>A barbed tendril emerges from the doll’s mouth while Clarence is not looking, startling both Sumo and Jeff
>Jeff: “Clarence!”
>Sumo: “Woah!”
>Clarence: “Lil’ buddy…”
>The doll begins to shake violently and frees it’s from Clarence’s embrace, sending him tumbling away
>Now on the ground, the doll continues to spasm before stopping abruptly
>The doll rises to its feet and slowly advances towards the group
>Sumo: “Stay away, you freak!” He grabs a nearby stick and swings it at the doll
>Jeff: “Clarence, are you alright?”

>Clarence, Jeff, and Sumo run to Haddock while the doll chases them
>Haddock snaps back to reality and sees the possessed doll “What madness is this?” as he pulls out a metal pole and with one mighty swing catches the doll on the neck, sending it flying until it collides with a headstone and falls into an open grave
>Jeff and Sumo rush over and quickly push the heavy stone into the grave
>We get a shot of Lil’ Buddy clicking and looking up before being crushed under the weight of it
>Clarence gasps “Jeff, Sumo, how could you do that to Lil’ Buddy?” as they restrain him from jumping into the grave
>A strong gust of wind blows across the graveyard, Haddock turns to look in the direction is came from and catches a glimpse of two large glowing eyes in the window of an old, dilapidated wooden house that overlooks the cemetery
>Haddock blinks and the eyes are gone, he steadies his eyes and rubs his beard, “Children, it would seem I have located this beast you speak of.”
>He marches right up to the old house and, as if on cue, the door opens wide for him on its own accord
>He ventures forth into the house, the door, the frame, the wood around it all collapses and breaks in such a way that resembles a mouth full of sharp teeth ensnaring its prey
>Haddock looks back, then forward “Ha! Like Jonah against the whale, I'm unharmed! I… where I am?”
>The Beast: “Looks like manners are unknown to the men of this era.”
>Haddock: “What's that? Is someone here?”
>The Beast: “But guests are guests after all. Take care of him, my children!”
>A mass of vines assault Haddock from every side, quickly cocooning him in a wooden prison

I really like the concept and especially the designs, but there's no need to be conservative with speech bubbles unless you go full Bendis. The third bubble especially threw me off when the second girl said "um..."

Homer sells his souls to the devil for a donut. He then uncharacteristically notices if he doesn't finish it then he won't have to go to hell, as he would had not had his full wish granted, but for some reason he ends up eating it anyway.

It might sound like I am dismissing it somehow, but all around it is fun short, even if not the best of the earlier seasons. It has the "Can you picture a world with out lawyers" gag.
