I like Korra but it's the George Lucas problem. They need to work with the right other people. Left unchallenged they fuck stuff up a little too much.

Also it probably doesn't help that the show didn't know how long it was going to be so it kept trying to tie things up and then contrive some way to keep going. If they had known from day one they were getting four seasons it would be much better.
