I find it really weird they keep resorting to non-Golden Age characters to fill their world. I think Robinson was the only guy who kept that up. Like for instance the reason the Mr. Freeze guy on Earth 2 was Mr. Icicle is because Icicle was an Alan Scott villain.

I only recall seeing three of these. Witch's Ghost I can't say I have any memories of.

Zombie Island is the best because the werecat bullshit came out of left field, but didn't feel completely out of place. Pirates and Confederates in Louisiana feels right at home, as do Creole pagans. It had a neat little bow. Really liked Velma getting a relationship with a hunk.

Witch's Ghost was pretty unremarkable, save for the female band. The plot twist was kind of expected.

The Alien Invaders was drab, but it developed Shaggy, which is something he needed because everyone immediately relegates him as a stoner slacker with no depth.

Cyber Chase as a mystery was awful, because of how many baseball puns were used, but when used as a character reflection it's fantastic, especially using the old character designs.

I liked that whole scene where she crashed into that guy's wooden clubhouse thing and yelled at him about how inadequate it was from an architect's standpoint. His back and forth with his son about that album as he was taken away by her and bojack was pretty great too.

I have no problem with Old Ben Kenobi, after years of experience, meditation, and learning more about The Force, basically 1 shotting a lower class, Hutt knock-off Sith that was basically a placeholder and muscle until a true apprentice appeared.

The whole point of the Sith is they get a moderate amount of power NOW but their growth is staggered and practically halted unless they have a Sith Lord teaching them the dark side and its mysteries.

Jedi have less power now, but because of their ability to meditate on the Force and become closer to it over time they have a greater potential for power and mastery.

Agreed, he's brilliant. As a writer myself, Moore has a sense of play, natural acuity and ability to speak through characters that I envy.

I would not disagree if you called him a lazy writer or a thief; but he is elegantly lazy, and a masterfully careful and efficient thief. These are the marks of a great artist.
