Guyver, fairly easily. This is a weird match-up considering they don't really have anything to do with each other. I guess I can sort of see blue beetle and guyver in a match I guess. Guyver kills venom right in the beginning, and blue beetle spends all his time trying to run away.

This show is better than it has any right to be. I mean it's a cheap Mexican cartoon goddamn it.
The first couple of episodes aren't very special, but then it just keeps on becoming better and better. It's clear that the people who worked on this actually put effort into the show and wanted to make an enjoyable story.
More often than not I found myself thinking "oh they're gonna do that thing and that trope and drag it for the entire episode" but then it would get lampshaded, quickly resolved and the show moved on to do something else entirely. Often I legit couldn't tell what would happen next.
The main characters each have distinctive virtues and flaws and none of them end up being too perfect or too annoying, tho I guess Alebrije could use a personal episode. The major villains all have clear and understandable motives, too.
Obviously the animation isn't exactly smooth and the pacing isn't perfect at times (some dramatic moments kinda suffer from things happening too fast) but that wasn't enough to stop me from enjoying it.
It really should have a bigger following.

Here's hoping it gets a second season. Most Netflix cartoons are ordered by the bulk, though, so I'm a bit optimistic.

So I haven't paid much attention to Miles since 2013 or so, before he went into the mainstream universe at least.
I was probably going to keep ignoring him until I saw a panel that implied he doesn't remember coming from another Universe. What I don't get get about it is, if he doesn't remember his old universe, why is he still a superhero? How does he remember the events that lead to his current existance?
Miles' origin goes something like this:
Miles get bitten by duplicate of Peter Parker's spider, which he came into contact with thanks to his uncle, an evil version of the Prowler. Peter Parker (who is of similar age to Miles) is unmasked and brutally murdered by a monster version of the Green Goblin. Miles decides to become Spider-Man to honor Peter.
Now how does he make sense of his current position as Spider-Man if none of that could have happened in his current universe? The spider was an unknown freak accident, so there weren't any intentional duplicates. The Prowler is not his uncle and not evil. Peter Parker is signifigantly older and hasn't been killed in public like that. The Green Golin is just a guy in a suit. How does he make sense of any of that?

The panel you are remembering is from Gwenpool. The author probably didn't know what was going on or had Miles lying/pretending not to know.
But he remembers according to Bendis. He even acts weird around the mention of alternate worlds being mentioned.
Bendis just doesn't bring it up much or do anything with it because he is a shitty writer. He would rather write about Miles complaining about people calling him the "Black Spider-Man" instead of just Spider-Man (even though Peter is not dead).
Which is sad because Miles has an interesting concept for a story. His whole world is dead. He watched his mom die and now she's alive again in the kitchen. He dad ran away and is now back. Peter Parker is alive but it's not his Peter (not even the same age). This is some Rick and Morty stuff right here. Miles would be traumatized. This would be awesome set-up.
But hey, who cares about that. Let's just have a long shitty pointless crossover with Spider-Gwen....

So why do people keep trying to compare Jack's new season to western children cartoons instead of other adult cartoons? There's been numerous children's action cartoons (cancelled) but not a whole lot of adult action cartoons over the years. Plus, some adult cartoons follow a formula similarly to kids cartoons. Jack WAS a western children's cartoon before this season, it was always on daytime Cartoon Network and had a TV-Y7-FV rating. The change from being a children's cartoon to an adult cartoon is almost the entire point of the last two episodes.

One Piece is now cancelled. One Piece discussion belongs on /a/.
This week is April Fools, meaning the Adult Swim April Fools prank happens on MIDNIGHT April 1st. Be sure to have AS on Friday night if you are interested, because the prank will not be during Toonami. They may do something small since Toonami does start on April Fools, but the main prank still falls in AS hours.
There will be a dub premiere panel at Anime Boston for Jojo Part 3 on March 31st. This may or may not come with news about its status on Toonami.
Adult Swim is funding two new 6 episode seasons of FLCL. Expected release 2018.
This week we started Tokyo Ghoul and had a bit of a schedule shuffle to go with it. To start, Jack continues to do great, gaining a small amount from last week, and again being the highest rated non sport program of the day. Tokyo Ghoul had kind of an eh start, but followed the trend of the night fairly well. Unicorn, despite being moved a full hour later, actually did significantly better than it usually does. Naruto did much better than OP at 2:30, but GitS didn't find any new viewers.
