In the hindsight, was he THAT bad?
>>91352702
The scene where he sacrifices himself to blow up up the mech is a top 10 scene in the series. Would be top 5 if he actually died. Aside from that though he never really did anything other than be hot and pout.

>>91352211
This is how cape comics should normally be, with heroes taking on the mantle generationally, and older heroes being allowed to die gloriously or ride off into the sunset.
>>91352622
Mother fucker, the entire story was a circle jerk keeping Batman and Superman in their respective roles. Batman even took over the League of Assassins and jumped in a Lazarus Pit so he could keep fighting crime. Then he broke Superman out of the Phantom Zone so they could suck each other off. The second volume had an entire character that was a villain because he was denied his heroic legacy.
"Oh, you got gold K'ed and have no powers? Bummer! Clark got Gold K'd? Good thing he knows how to whip up a chemical solution to fix it. Damn, he should have done that to prevent his son from killing his sister and generally being a dick"
Who are some comic characters that you could take on in a fight?

Why did Fred love traps so much?
Is Fred /ourguy/
>>91352056
Just on the offchance you're actually watching through Mystery Inc. and not just using this as an excuse to have a traps thread, they actually do explain it later on.It's too significant to his character development to spoil.
What's not to love.
>Marvel excited us months ago by telling us they were bringing back the old characters we all wanted to see again
>Marvel Generations, 10 one shots
>bringing back the old characters to team-up with the legacy character then going away again
I fucking hate you Marvel.
I don't really understand why anyone thought it would be anything other than this kind of thing.
Each issue might be comfy though.
>>91351920
>Each issue might be comfy though
>ends with the older hero telling the legacy they are the true hero and do them justice
Yeah, okay.
>>91351971
Well the ones by hacks like Bendis will be like that, but ideally you get a couple that are a good tribute to the meaning of each franchise. Maybe I'm too optimistic but I don't see a guy like Pak making his bad at least.
HELLO
>>91269338
who is this character we might never see again
>>91269351
She was Meenah, Star's idol and apparently an amazing warrior. But by the time Star meets her she's gone insane.
The episode introducing her was very weird and went no where, but was open ended for possible return of her.

I kinda wanna see The Great Movie Ride get an overhaul.
>Deal with TCM is almost over, meaning Robert Osborn is gonna be replaced soon (F)
>Footlight Parade has been broken since day one because they didn't bother to look what they were building on top of
>Doesn't even shoot bubbles all the time
>Animatronics are looking a little waxy
>Ripley just barely resembles Sigourney Weaver, has no movement below the neck
>Ceiling Xeno's tongue keeps falling into the cars
I fucking love The Great Movie Ride and would much rather see it get refurbished than replaced with something stupid. It's such a wonderful little tribute to classic cinema, but technology has progressed so much since it opened.
>Could add a scene where we see Ben Kenobi dueling Darth Vader, maybe even have him get killed and disappear into the floor (you know the Imagineers would find a way)
>Could include a scene from an animated film like Toy Story or Snow White, something groundbreaking that won't look all uncanny valley nowadays
>Tarzan swinging around will look impressive rather than unintentionally comical
>All the old effects will work exactly as intended
>Ending montage won't look super out of place for containing clips from Zootopia while everything else in the ride was built in the mid 80's
There's a rumor it's gonna be replaced by "The Great Mickey Ride" and, as a film history major, that idea personally offends me.
how come everyone likes "running with scissors" so much? Like the set up's great! Marco abusing the scissors, only to get pulled through a new portal he didn't open and have it be hekapoo, a magical demon like being with superior strength and abilities who wants him to blow out the flame on top of her head, is super interesting! There were hundreds of Heka's judging by all the flames in Marco's book, and the adventure he goes on to blow out the flames sounds great! too bad we dint get to see any of it.... like of course they couldn't show ALL the Hpoo's getting their flames blown out, but at leastt showing 3-5 of the cool little adversities Marco must've had to face to blow out some candles would've been cool.Hell, just seeing what tools and tricks ONE Hekapoo, who had crossed multiple dimensions, and space and knows magic and stuff had and how Marco would've had to deal with it would've been great! Imagine all the comedy and action we could've gotten, instead it was just a time skip, and a TEENY bit of action with the two guard Heka-p's flames being blown out in the end. it's not as bad as "Fetch" or "Star vs echo creek" but it's lackluster for the same reason: nothing really happens.
what's the appeal? is it more adventurous and funny than I'm giving it credit for? should I rewatch again? is it just that people like the shipping stuff with Marco and poo?
>>91351589
>what's the appeal?
Hekapoo, flustered Star
>OP's pic
also starco developement
>>91351589
>is it just that people like the shipping stuff with Marco and poo?
Yes, they main appeal for most was Hekapoo. And Marco becoming a badass who had chemistry with her got them hard for self-insertion.

>The Hunchback of Notre Dame is rated lower than Mulan, Hercules, Tarzan, and even 101 Dalmatians on most websites
>The only disney film that anyone even gives a shit about with a lower rating is Pocahontas
Comparing it to stuff like the Lion King and Little Mermaid is unfair, but why is the Hunchback such a low rated movie? Get rid of the Gargoyles and I would honestly call it one of Disney's best films.
What killed this film?
Quasimodo strikes a little too close to home.
>>91351380
Nothing killed it. It did great at the box office, and the critics loved it.
There's definitely a marketing mismatch, however, that leaves many viewers dissatisfied. Like taking a big bite of chocolate ice cream only to realize someone re-used the container to freeze gravy. The posters and splash screens show a happy-go-lucky Quasimodo, promising a fun Disney frolic. What you get is a disturbing story with lust and murder. It may have GOAT scenes, but if it's not what the audience expected they're not going to like it.
It's simple: It was too kino for normies.
They want lower tier shit like talking animals
