I was reading a comic, and as a bunch of super powered dudes with long careers got killed off in a few pages, it occurred to me... If dying in comics can be as sudden and unexpected as it is in real life, then how the hell does anyone have a long career under their belt? On the other hand, if it's not... How can these loldeaths even happen?
Mortality in cape comics feels off.

Because comics don't exist.
Their rules are malleable, therefore you could literally destroy Earth, strand a hero on the moon for 5 issues, and then bring Earth back and the next issue will be a crossover where he and a teen hero go eat falaffel.
If it serves the narrative purpose of the author, its going to happen no matter how ridiculous it seems to us.
>>91550442
I don't know, man. It kinda breaks verisimilitude or something. Feels like nothing matters if you ain't going to hold onto the rules you put into place.
>>91550584
>if you ain't going to hold onto the rules you put into place
There are no rules. There are the confines of your editorial, besides that writers can do whatever.
I'm not supporting this, mind you, I'm just saying that's how it is. Its up to the reader to decide if they find the stories worth their time.
Are you hyped for Frank, /co/?
>13 hours of shooting at guys with guns
How are they going to make this interesting
>Frank cucking Matt after Cage also cucked him
I wonder if Danny will bang Elektra in Defenders.
>>91550351
Totally. He was the best part of DD Season 2
>make threas about protecting the inocent and defeating the evil that is Aku.
>gets called foolish samurai.
This board is going to shit, I swear to god, what happened??
>>91550233
Foolish samurai.
>>91550233
fool jackposter
yes yes, now fuck off with your shitty show autismo
Do you suppose they celebrate Easter at the ghoul school?
>>91550200
Well Jesus could be considered a ghoul since he rose from the dead.
>>91550200
wouldn't that be extremely problematic for the vampire what with all the crosses?
>>91550815
>>91550791
>>91550200
the ghost and the werewolves are the only ones who could possibly be christian dESu
What does /co/ think of Droopy?
Y'know what?
I think he's a pretty cool guy.
>>91549992
Looks like my cousin.
I'm gonna have to see her tomorrow at her mom's Easter party where she's either gonna discuss the home she is buying with her fiancee or gas on about how beautiful she will be on her wedding day.
He is one of the fundamental forces of cartoons. No matter what you do, he will find you.
Well, I guess that long answers that age-old question about whether or not the creators know about the show.
That's fucking great
>>91549802
wow, this is actually pretty good once it got passed the outdated meme humor
>Is /co/ magic real?
ITT: guess what's what's wrong with this picture.
Batman is fat. How would he fight crime with that physique?
>>91549683
I doubt a standard house electrical outlet could produce enough power for the batlight.
>>91549737
dammit you beat me to it
I thought she did a good job as nu-Bubbles. Hope I get to hear more of her soon.Goddamn, she's a qt
Is that shitty reboot cancelled yet?
>>91549628
No, and I hope it won't be. I couldn't bear to lose an angel like her ;(
>>91549606
You're being charitable, but she's doing as well as she could with the material she's been given.
Buttercup is the worst because the only mode the writers have given her is disaffected sarcasm.
Who is at the other side of the chain?
>>91548980
Yes. Power levels fluctuate and the most important thing is character clashing. The Defenders worked out and everyone on that team was ridiculously powerful.
>>91549457
Batman
>Call movie Justice League
>Non of the characters act like the characters from the Justice League comics
What's the point of calling it Justice League or Man or Steel Or Batman when I don't actually get to see Clark or Barry or Bruce?
Snyder is elevating the characters and genre as a whole by making them more complex
I implore you: please, just stop it. Stop posting shitty threads about movies you don't like, just to keep going around and around and around with the exact same circular arguments over and over. Half of you don't even believe what you're posting, so why are you bothering? Is your life that empty? It doesn't have to be.
Look, this is the comics board. Why don't you just go read some? We even post them right here on the board for you. You can go read and be happy, and discuss with us things you actually enjoy. Or you can go watch a movie you may actually like, or you can go play a video game. Just do something that makes you happy, instead of this.
Maybe you really do enjoy this, in which case, maybe there's just no helping you. But I guarantee you there's something better than this. Surely there's something you can do that will stimulate your mind more, or something you can create to enrich your life. You could be learning to speak another language, or to play an instrument, or to draw and create your own comics and cartoons. If you have friends you could be out with them having a good time and making memories, and if you don't, you could be out making them. These people here are not your friends, they're your enemies, and you're the ones making them into enemies.
>>91549066
>Wide release today
>Absolutely no reviews
>Not even shit ones
Is this a good thing or a bad thing
Considering the audience score is so low, probably bad.
>>91548538
Looks like a Direct to DVD movie. It was doomed from the start.
I feel like Good Friday is probably a bad day to release a movie, regardless of how religious a given population is.
What was her fucking problem?
>>91548345
Some sort of neurodevelopmental disorder. Which one? Fuck, all of them I guess.
idk, i think both dex and dee dee were equally assholes to each other
>>91548345
She teased her little brother a bit like a normal sibling and the little autist spergs the fuck out. What was Dexter's fucking problem?
>Riley, all women are not hoes. We're talking 20 25 percent tops.
Was Huey right about this?
Closer to 60% tbqh
>>91548245
Huey was far too hopeful at that point.
He later learns that many humans as a whole will leech off anything and anyone if they can get away with it.
Like when Reverend Rollo Goodlove hustled the fuck out of Huey and Riley's situations. Shit, Huey got played himself when Ming ran her sob story on him and almost cost Woodcrest their freedom.
Harsh as it might be, you've gotta watch your ass or someone's gonna fuck you first chance they get. Like that motherfucker Winston Jerome running a whole cult just for some man booty. Can't trust nobody.
>>91548501
Huey goes through a depressing arc. He just gives up by the end.
Why the fuck did they spend like 5 episodes with the stupid "Boo hoo I don't have powers so I'm not a real superhero" character arc?
>Jax and Martin are powerless when they aren't combined
>Vixen is powerless without her amulet
>Snart, Rory and Rip all use tech and have no powers
>Sara has no powers and doesn't even use tech
But we're supposed to buy him feeling like a weak link to the team when he's got a super genius intellect, can hold his own in a fight and even without his suit can probably invent some pretty useful tech weaponry?
He sucks ass because "not muh comics"
>>91548183
Without the suit, anything he can do in the field the others can do better. And he specifically invented the suit because he wanted to be on the field.
Seriously, keep up.
>>91548183
Cw we need drama writing.
Rate the original Mermaid Man pentalogy from your least favourite to favourite.
RECAP
The first one- SB and P try to get them out of retirement
The second one- SB annoys them with the conch signal
The third one- SB and P unleash Man Ray and teach him to be good
The fourth one- SB misuses Mermaid Man's shrink ray
The fifth one- Barnacle Boy joins the villains and the main characters become super heroes.
the man ray episode is my favorite just because of the wallet joke
