I can dig it.
Memes aside, Guardians is very much a James Gunn movie, and if vol. 2 is any good, I'd like to see him return to ruin is trilogy, as is tradition.
Can't wait for the contrivance they create for him to find yet a third mix tape, although he'll come to Earth in the mean time, so I guess it's just a matter of a post-credits or epilogue scene with him checking his old house out.
>>91623202
So, how come Gunn is directing all 3, but Bravo Joss only got to direct 2?
>>91623369
Vol 2 might actually be good instead of shit like Ultron.
So far the only decent 2nd movies by the same director has been Civil War (yeah yeah, I know you all hate it).
I kinda missed the train on this one, but I just finished Iron Fist. It threw me for a loop: wasn't this supposed to be terrible? How the fuck it stand on a 17% on Rotten? It wasn't groundbreaking, but it was an enjoyable, totally fine show.

>Are critics just dumb?
Yes.
>>91623036
I guess so, but how, and how on this scale?
>>91623016
The bad kung fu scenes and white actor was the kiss of death in their eyes. I thought the fighting was ok but I unfortunately think this show got picked on because of race.

And it looks like they went and added one for Namor, too:

But keep in mind in both those cases, it's just Marvel Comics #1 and not anything else after so you're pretty limited.
Alan Moore is sent to the moon piloting an atomic powered space ship designed by Professor Manheim. This trip marks mankind's first foray into space travel.
Amazed at the high rate of speed, Alan is surprised to come across another space ship. The craft sends a beam at Alan's ship, capturing in a "magnetic pull". Once aboard the other craft, Moore is addressed by the Martian space pirate Jana. Jana flees the Mars-Venus Patrol. The pirate has made captives of Professor Fenrir and the professor's daughter, Desua. Jana's craft has run out of fuel, and he intends to use Alan's ship to refuel the atomic engines. Alan resists, but is overcome by superior numbers. http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Alan_Moore
Time for a Gargoyles thread! We haven't had much recently and everyone seems to want a Gargoyles thread, even though the mods won't let us for some reason.
Also, tell me what Gargoyles you find cute.
why do mods keep getting rid of threads? they even seem to go after innocent ones over actually lewd shitposty ones
>what Gargoyles you find cute
All of them, especially Angela.

That's disgusting anon, Lex and Broadway are the subs of the group.
I imagine they would all be using social media as its would probably be the only way they could interact with strangers
In a recent interview, Scott Lobdell talked a bit about his work on the series and what we can expect from it in the future.
The most important things revealed were:
>Bizarro is going to have a face off with Solomon Grundy.
>The current Outlaws is going to have a face off with the N52 Outlaws at some point between issues 12 and 16. Seemingly the old Outlaws would be from an alternate Earth called the N52. Yeah.
>Lobdell plans to do a story with the outlaws going to E3 and meet the crime syndicate where they will go undercover. However he admits is not set in stone yet.
>He also talked about issue 9 and how this arc is personal for Artemis and Jason while put Bizarro in a situation to handle in his own
>Editorial loves the dynamic between Jason and Artemis and they're interested on pushing them as a couple but Lobdell is resisting since he doesn't believes it would be that interesting, mainly because it would be to easy to pair them up and he likes some drama ala Romeo and Juliet.
>Jason and Bizarro dynamic is based on the fact that Jason knows what it feels to be treated like "a monster"
>Lobdell's Bizarro is not stupid but merely someone with a bizarre thought process
>Lobdell's more interested on telling fun stories than on writing grounded, dramatic ones. So you can expect to have more weird adventures on multiple settings than just street level ones.

Based Lobdell.
I'm really quite curious about the outlaws vs the outlaws thing.

When did Lobdell of all people get such good taste?
Nu52 Outlaws get fucking stomped by the Amazon and Krypto-clone
Cartoons with god-tier production values.
Samurai Jack

Both are copied from a movie. There's also that one scene of Naruto fighting the white guy that's the same choreography as in a fight scene in Cowboy Bebop.

Okay lads, bring out your slowpokes. I only just found out NOW that this was a penis joke.
Good advice
i finally understood that the joke was that the guys on the porch were sneed and chuck, and they just transferred ownership of Chuck's Seed & Feed to Sneed
>>91622032
I still don't get it.
In terms of powers and abilities, how would you rank Elric?
And is there even a weapon that's close to the capabilities and raw destructive power of a fully unleashed Stormbringer?
>>91621910
This thing in its multivbersal archetype of the Black Sword is responsible for taking out entire universes.
>>91621942
>>91621942
OK, I read through the storytime of the Elric comics the other week, did I miss an issue or something? Stormbringer's a badass sword, but there's multiple times it gets foiled by magic armor and shit, when does it nuke a universe?
Never seen it but my Grandpa who is suffering from cancer wants to watch it with me because he grew up reading Batman and Superman comics. I'm afraid he's about to pass soon so I want the last movie we see together to be special.
Listen OP, just watch the fucking film.
>>91621894
On the plus side, sitting through it will give you a real sense of empathy for someone enduring Cancer.
I liked it. Be sure to watch the ultimate edition.
Why did Marvel buy her, to begin with? Her previous stories were erased, she didn't have fans back then anyway, and the few fans she got since she became a Marvel character are now boycotting her because she and her lesbo transwoman girlfriend (???) aren't together anymore.
What a fucking waste of a character.
>>91621499
Appeasement to Gaiman and/or McFarlane?
Are you implying this character had something to offer of value in the first place?
>>91621499
her most potential was in spawnverse, the entire thing is just idiotic on everyone's part
Wasn't she part of the Miracleman deal and they were stuck with her either way?
Is this and her sisters virtually the only reason why this can't air during the day? There was the gorefest of Jack hacking his way through the Daughters of Aku like it was Tarantino's Kill Aku Vol. 2, but since then it's been as tame as previous seasons.
Is SJ going to be remain this tame?
>>91621477
>Is this and her sisters virtually the only reason why this can't air during the day?
Adult Swim is on at night, dude.
>>91621491
Adult Swim (Tonnami) doesn't air during the day. That's kind of the point. SJ used to air during the day.
>>91621702
Adult Swim and CN are basically two different networks sharing a channel. Samurai Jack was picked up by Adult Swim, not Cartoon Network. It's the same reason why something like Gumball or AT doesn't air at night during the toonami and adult swim block, not because it can't, but because it's not their's.
>the villian is literally cat hitler
kitler
I like the fact that animators were made to work on what is basically two cats fucking

Hi you Homer!

Title says it all
No animated series should last more than 100 half-hour episodes. There, I said it.
>>91620931
You're only saying that because you know the 8th season is going to be awful
Dreamland has been really good, imo. Last season I felt like the writers lost their edge but now the jokes are back to being sharp as hell.
