Why didn't he get his sword, like, right after he lost it?
You even watch the show?
You'll have to wait until Saturday to find out.
Dropped it
>>91861614
The sword is forged from the strenght of human spirit and his was pretty broken
Can we talk about this? Last thread got deleted because hurr americans shitposting.
Is this good writing or bad writing? I can't really tell.
The biggest, longest-running theme of this comic is that successful people will always be bad and unhappy, and people who stagnate and have no ambition are the only good and sincere people around. See:
>Park lands the job he was working hard to get and suddenly becomes a dick
>Marek finishes his thesis and graduates, breaks up with Hanna because they want different things, and he's put on a bus
>Hanna tries to get over her depression by baking and taking up running, then abandons running because it wasn't an easy band-aid and decides she'd rather be a "witch" and unhappy
>When Marigold is succeeding at her job, she's treated as shallow and desperately trying to fill her empty life with as many instagram-worthy experiences as possible
>the journalist Eve tries to fuck is the same--successful but ultimately trying to fill a void
>Eve's Asian friends move on without her, grow up, get married, have kids, and are suddenly jerks because she made no attempt to contact them in two years
meanwhile, the more Eve regresses and becomes childish and obnoxious, the more she's treated as a sympathetic hero/victim.
If Eve were a real person, of course she'd perceive everyone successful around her to be selfish jerks. Everyone is the hero of their own story. But when these people are portrayed as jerks *objectively* in the comic, is that good writing or bad writing? Is it good writing to portray everything as the protagonist sees it, or is it better to portray everything as it is and have your shitty protagonist react to it as if their projections really are the objective truth?
>>91720056
I can't answer that because I don't know if they actually are intended to be objective jerks. You'd have to ask the author.
>americans shitposting
With Brits and Aussies around, we're a drop in the ocean.
>>91720056
I think Hanna's happiness/unhappiness isn't exactly hinged on work, it's her ability to relate to other people.
Hanna has been industrious since her first appearance, her problems come from wanting life other people to be as manageable as the dough she kneeds.
>>91720657
Follow up, Park was always a dick.
What's our verdict of this animated masterpiece?
>It has Eobard in it
11/10
It's a good adaptation of a terrible comic.
>>91719992
Better than the terrible comic, still shit.
What if Charles Xavier was played by Morgan Freeman?
Even more monologues.
>>91719869
What if Magneto and Charles where black?
>>91719932
From a history standpoint, it would be interesting to see how blacks were treated in Nazi Germany, which isn't explored much in fiction.
Charles coming into his powers in a shitty Jim Crow urban school instead of a rich household would also be an interesting situation. Having to rely on how his powers help his athletics to pay his way through his various degrees. Maybe forced to use them to gamble.
>been trying to rewatch this since 8 years
Is it because I'm used to the Dutch dub, or is the English dub actually shit? Does it get better, or do I have to just deal with this?
>>91719138
The English voice acting is practically perfect. It's why it's one of the few aspects of the show you almost never see complaints about on /co/.
>>91719138
>English dub
>>91719162
Guess it's just me then
>Make show about alien girls fighting monsters and training the son of their former leader
>Make 90% of it boring filler about pointless human characters
What is even the appeal of this trash?
>90%
Prove it.
>>91719060
>Genocidal empire of sentient hardlight holograms led by vicious 40 foot tall tyrants is apparently less interesting than some niggresses part time job
>>91719060
Wasn't it supposed to be SoL with some alien fighting?
/co/, We're looking for the maniac.
Have you seen... THIS MAN?
>>91718959
DELET THIS
A-AHHHH, GET IT AWAY FROM ME.
>>91718976
Calm down anon it's just a drawing.
Now i'm gonna show you again and you tell me if you've seen him. Understand?
>on ao3
>wanting to read some straight star vs smut
>it's all tomco
Why's it so popular?
>>91718846
>little to no StarJackie fapfics
Shit
>>91718846
>ao3
that's your problem
Try ff.net instead as ao3 is festering with fags
This is why you don't make comic book real
>>91718775
"Our race has evolved beyond your primitive human notions of Modesty. Or body armor. Or personal weaponry."
"OH NO, THEY HAVE POINTY STICKS!!"
>>91718775
This is why if you make comic books real do slice of life stuff instead.
This is why you don't watch CW.
The Rise of Aqualad finale!
What do you think of him, /co/?

>>91718767
He's okay
Who
>>91718767
Is that a young Rolf Harris?
Anyone else seen this yet? It's up On Demand and on the Disney Channel app.
Pretty fun episode, with a fairly big bombshell getting dropped...Cassandra revealed that the Captain of the Guard isn't her real father.
I'm pretty certain at this point that her biological mother is Gothel. Hopefully this doesn't mean Cass breaks bad later on...
>>91718661
>using screencaps from the wrong episode.
Always glad to see more Ron Perlman.
>>91718661
So anyone have a link?
>>91718661
...just a little closer...
New episode synopsis' art out.
>Samurai Jack's worst fear is realized when he faces off against Aku; the demon makes a shocking discovery about Ashi that puts her in grave danger.
>The fate of the entire universe hangs in the balance as Samurai Jack faces Aku.
>>91860885
>New episode synopsis' art out.
Official episode cover art would actually be a cool idea, especially with digital distribution finally gaining ground.
>>91860951
I agree, even though that was a typo on my end.
>>91860885
>"Yes, the simplest solution is usually the best one."
>"Ashi, you can't let it end this way. Please, Ashi, fight."
I agree with everything in this strip, down to the Sunstone recommendation.
>>91718573
Can someone just post rule 34 of this ITT already?
>>91718573
I dislike how quick she is to dismiss the OG run. it wasn't just lesbianism and bondage, it was intimate nonviolent diplomacy as an alternative to punching people in the face. something not found much elsewhere, even in other WW runs.
The lesbian bondage dynamic in Sunstone is way different to the Amazon/Wonder Woman dynamic though. And we don't get that as explicitly (or rather as "n-nothing s-sexual here, I promise") as we did in Marston but it's still a big theme. IIRC Sunstone goes a bit into subspace and the reassurance given by giving up control but submission is almost religious for the Amazons in the comics that tackle it.
The stuff about picking the comic you want to read is spot-on but I don't think I can agree with your Amazonian BDSM-Sunstone equivalence OP. I'm sorry.
They are making a Locke and Key show on hulu
http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/hulu-carlton-cuse-1202391596/
how bad will they butcher it?
What is Locke and Key about?
>>91718580
About a family returning to their old family manor. The manor is full of locks and keys that have magical abilities, but only the kids can see perceive it.
There's a lot of mystery, some mild horror and a lot of teenage drama. It's written by the son of Stephen King under pseuonym and is my favourite comic book and you should read it.
>>91718569
Why would I watch this when I've already read the comic and know what happens?
