>God kills and torture several innocent Egyptians
>"It's the Pharoah's fault!"
This is bullshit.
>>91950175
>God punishes pharaoh for supporting a fascist regime that murders children via throwing them to crocodiles
>people who still stand by him after multiple plagues suffer too
>"WOOOOOOW"
And mind you, the tenth plague was a painless instant death to first borns, which is preferable to being horribly mutilated and ripped apart by crocs. AND he also gave them fair warning.
>>91950231
If God wanted to punish the Pharaoh then just fucking punish the Pharaoh. The people of Egypt were innocent of the Pharaoh's crimes.

PUNISHER STORYTIMEOF PAIN
For this whole year I'm going to be storytiming Punisher comics at least once per week. Most of them will be pre-Ennis stories, but expect the occasional Ennis era or post-Ennis era story as well.
This week I'll be posting the infamous Jigsaw Puzzle story arc.
I'll be honest with you. This story is... not good. No, that's not even accurate. This story is irredeemable shit. No, that's not even fair to irredeemable shit. This is just BAD. Like there aren't even really words to describe how ill-advised this story was. It's one those who--thought-this-was-a-good-idea things from the 90s that was so bad and so instantly poorly received that Marvel right after the story finished basically pretended it never happened and hasn't acknowledged it since. Why exactly? Read it and find out. And if it doesn't seem THAT bad at first, then trust me: Keep reading. It will be.
Also of note is that this arc is 6 issues long, making it the longest Punisher story ever as of the time of its publication. Thankfully for anyone who had to suffer through this when it was coming out, it was also published twice per month, so it only took 3 months to finish instead of 6, which to be fair had to have made this much easier to endure.
The only positive thing that can really be said about this story arc really is that it featured some really nice cover work on some of the issues, but that hardly matters given what's behind them.
Oh, and did I mention that it was written by the otherwise usually excellent Mike Baron? To this day I still wonder if this was his idea or if it was forced on him by editorial. I like to imagine it was the latter, because I somewhat doubt editorial'd have let any writer make such dramatic changes to the core of a series without their permission. Though who knows... (If you do know I actually genuinely would like to know myself.)
Anyway, let's get this over with.

> that cover
I hate this already
This tale is about Trap-Jaw's origin, before he became the cyborg warrior, when he was called Kronis.
Now this story is ok. It's connected with Evil-Lyn's issue, and shows again the corruption among the ranks of the Eternian guards, while establish a personal grudge between Trap-Jaw and He-Man.
Personally i prefer the far more epic origin story of Trap-Jaw from the 2004's Icons of Evil mini series, where Kronis was a brave mercenary warrior that challenged Skeletor for the rule of the Eternian Dark Hemispere, and he payed a terrible price. So i' ll post this comic too, for doing the comparison.
>>91945820
Trap-Jaw's origin was always hinted as a violent one. His sction figure is a cyborg with implants in the place of jaw and arm. Eternia was and will always be a savage world.

Venice, sixteenth century. Cesari Renzi had it all; high birth, wealth, a promising career in the navy and a beautiful bride. However, four men envious of his and his family's fortune came together to destroy it: The Greek banker Kalandrakis; Ahmed Bey, envoy to Sultain Suleiman the Magnificent; and Cesare's own best friend Giaccomo Barazutti followed the lead of Prince Bertini, who stood to become the city's new ruler.
The Renzis were slandered and murdered, and Cesare only managed to survive to be captured by a passing ship and thrust as the newest cog in the Ottoman empire's machine. Stripped of his title, his dignity and even his name, now he is Dago, the slave; a creature of shrewdness and hateful brutality that will stop at nothing to survive and claim his vengeance.
Join me for the telling of this timeless tale, good anon, and share a bump if you love adventure.

Can Dago survive and protect his master from one of the world's most powerful men?
