I mean for decades Marvel Comics has always said, we give the fans what they want, you know, the fans are the true editors at Marvel Comics.

I mean I just have them saying “what’s with the smile? I can see your mouth! What’s up with that?” You know, so what the hell? Why not?

This is the list sent out to sketch card artists specifying which characters were off limits, in March 2016. Allegedly artists are still getting it this year, which is weird because Ego is on this list and he was in GOTG 2. But also notable is that the "Kree Race" is also on the list. Also it's likely the "Miracle Man" on the list refers to the character who showed up in the first year of Fantastic Four and not the one Moore made famous.

Obviously previously licensed characters are off limits such as Rom, Micronauts, Transformers, GI Joe, and Conan, but it also meant that Shuma Gorath is off limits because there may be some issues (just the name was mentioned in a Robert E. Howard story, but he was never shown or described before until a Doctor Strange story!). And of course creator-owned stuff like Millar's Kick-Ass or Bendis' Powers is also off-limits.

But what's weird is that the Earth X and Marvel Zombie characters are off-limits (the Zombies in particular have "under no circumstances can these be done"). Wasn't there someone on here who said that Disney deliberately enforced a "no zombie superheroes" thing? With the exception of the Zombies Assemble comic recently, depictions of Marvel Zombies in the last three or so years were supervillains (Secret Wars and that time when Miles and Spider-Gwen accidentally teleported to the zombie planet).

What does /co/ think about the Artemis Fowl graphic novels. I read the first two back in high school and I thought they were pretty good. Never read the original books though, so I don't know how they compare.

>Bruce Timm confirmed that after Batman Beyond, the next Batman show was supposed to have been an Animesque series set even further in the future, which he described as "Batman meets Power Rangers." The show would've revolved around a trio of kids who became their time period's equivalents of Batman, Robin, and Batgirl, and would've featured a robot version of Alfred named "Alpha-Red." Timm seemed embarrassed by even the thought of the show, while Kevin Smith thought it would have been Crazy Awesome.

I discovered some great European animated films because of /co/-recommended chart a while back and can't find the bloody thing. I can find charts WITH European animated films on comraderecs, but there are omissions. Like this beautiful pastille fairy-tale adaptation where the protagonists' mum is a horse.
Anybody have it? If not let's just shoot the shit about Yuro surrealism I guess. Or general /co/ surrealism, the chart might have been about "unique styles" rather than who made them.
