ITT: we pretend regular show is premiering tonight.
The only thing this show's trailer is putting the hurt on is my eyes. This is a bland art style and it has bland colorization. Not surprising from a man that only animated in black and white before now.

hmm good point hope this show is any good
I'm tired of wacky cartoons with outlandish settings and plots, so glad we're getting something normal for once.
If there's also no forced romance this'll basically be the PERFECT cartoon
>Interviewer: Was it always the plan to bring it back for issue 3?
>Peter David: No. (Laughs) We were originally going to stick with the new one,and you know, there was so much fan opposition to it, that we all kinda shrugged our shoulders and said: “You know what, at the end of the day, the comic is about Ben Reilly, no about his freaking costume and you know, why would we make this book about the freakin’ costume, let’s just you know, let’s just give the fans what they want! I mean for decades Marvel Comics has always said, we give the fans what they want, you know, the fans are the true editors at Marvel Comics.
>Well, to my mind, there has never been a more precise example of that being the case, than the Ben Reilly Costume. I mean to me it’s of little relevance, what somebody wears when they are going about doing their job really kinda beside the point, but if it means that much to the fans, and honestly means so little to me, you know Marvel said “let’s come up with a reason to go have him go back to the original”, I went okay and came up with a reason to go back to the original, and just as a nod to the fans [in issue 3], as I said, I have a Spider-Man fan criticizing everything they dislike about the Ben Reilly costume, I even have them quoting twitter things! I mean I just have them saying “what’s with the smile? I can see your mouth! What’s up with that?” You know, so what the hell? Why not?

Peter David stopped giving a fuck a long time ago.

I wouldn't of minded this costume if it wasn't the stupid mouth. It's like he's trying to eat his costume.
ITT: Cartoons better than Steven Universe
This should be a long thread.
>>92318154
wew boy i'm in for a treat
A 2 frame flipbook I made in 5 seconds is a better cartoon than Steven Universe.
I'm confused, if you hose an unprovoked Coyote to keep it away, isn't that asking for your own death?
>>92317830
YAMERO
>>92317912
1. coyotes are smaller than you think, any regular sized human is more than big enough to fend one off
2. they're skittish creatures and their first instinct is going to be to run away
I don't know how many people Coyotes kill every year, but I'm guessing it's around 0.

This is the list sent out to sketch card artists specifying which characters were off limits, in March 2016. Allegedly artists are still getting it this year, which is weird because Ego is on this list and he was in GOTG 2. But also notable is that the "Kree Race" is also on the list. Also it's likely the "Miracle Man" on the list refers to the character who showed up in the first year of Fantastic Four and not the one Moore made famous.
Obviously previously licensed characters are off limits such as Rom, Micronauts, Transformers, GI Joe, and Conan, but it also meant that Shuma Gorath is off limits because there may be some issues (just the name was mentioned in a Robert E. Howard story, but he was never shown or described before until a Doctor Strange story!). And of course creator-owned stuff like Millar's Kick-Ass or Bendis' Powers is also off-limits.
But what's weird is that the Earth X and Marvel Zombie characters are off-limits (the Zombies in particular have "under no circumstances can these be done"). Wasn't there someone on here who said that Disney deliberately enforced a "no zombie superheroes" thing? With the exception of the Zombies Assemble comic recently, depictions of Marvel Zombies in the last three or so years were supervillains (Secret Wars and that time when Miles and Spider-Gwen accidentally teleported to the zombie planet).
Still a ban on ff related stuff. The lasped character part make sense.
Shuma gorath is a new thing. His name isn't there's to use somewhat.
Xmen ban lifted. Might even be in mvc but not ff.
>And there are certain looks that are forbidden, no smoking, no alcohol, no nudity, no real guns, no trademarks, no Nazis
Make Mine Marvel Boring!

Well to be fair, this is for trading cards, which actually show up at more stores than comics (Target and Walmart have spaces for trading cards, for instance).

So when will they do a cartoon with a LGBT protagonist?
>>92317594
why would they make a cartoon about your mom
They should make Marco gay

Only if wears the dress full time.
What does /co/ think about the Artemis Fowl graphic novels. I read the first two back in high school and I thought they were pretty good. Never read the original books though, so I don't know how they compare.
Last book I read was Opal Deception. What happened next, is it worth spending time? Did they fuck?
Never read that shit.
The books are great.

>Theme-park rides are premised on an awareness of the theme in question, and young parkgoers are less likely to be familiar with movies that are more than a decade old. If you want them clamoring to experience Toy Story Midway Mania, they’ll need a Toy Story 4. Cars Land could use a Cars 3, and Finding Nemo–associated rides were due a Finding Dory.
When do you think Pixar's "Golden Age" ended?
Also, this article shits on Cars, which is a good movie, and plays up Toy Story 3 and Up, neither of which were that great.
Apparently 3-10 year olds only watch new movies and do not partake in DVDs
>When do you think Pixar's "Golden Age" ended?
The Golden Age ran from 'Finding Nemo' through 'Up'. That was a nice, tight run of consistently great films (Cars being the weakest of the bunch, but still pretty good). Everything since then has been super hit-or-miss - for every 'Inside Out' there's been a 'Good Dinosaur'.
'Cars 3' looks like shit, 'Coco' looks like shit, and if the much-anticipated 'Incredibles 2' disappoints audiences next Summer they'll have a hard time getting anyone to come out for yet another Toy Story sequel the following year.

People often talk about the first five minutes of Up, but they conveniently forget about the next hour and a half of getting chased around by le dog blimp man. Some of the worst pacing in a Pixar movie ever.

>Bruce Timm confirmed that after Batman Beyond, the next Batman show was supposed to have been an Animesque series set even further in the future, which he described as "Batman meets Power Rangers." The show would've revolved around a trio of kids who became their time period's equivalents of Batman, Robin, and Batgirl, and would've featured a robot version of Alfred named "Alpha-Red." Timm seemed embarrassed by even the thought of the show, while Kevin Smith thought it would have been Crazy Awesome.

I discovered some great European animated films because of /co/-recommended chart a while back and can't find the bloody thing. I can find charts WITH European animated films on comraderecs, but there are omissions. Like this beautiful pastille fairy-tale adaptation where the protagonists' mum is a horse.
Anybody have it? If not let's just shoot the shit about Yuro surrealism I guess. Or general /co/ surrealism, the chart might have been about "unique styles" rather than who made them.
>Like this beautiful pastille fairy-tale adaptation where the protagonists' mum is a horse.
So, the chart you're looking for had Feherlofia on it?
I've got a couple of recommendation images, but I don't think I have the one you're looking for.

Is there a western equivalent to End of Evangelion?
No, and there probably won't be for a very long time. Western animation has gone to shit basically and everything is just references like your pic. It's like that one comic with Hayao Miyazaki where that guy goes "and then he falls like the dragon from spirited away!"
Cartoons have basically become Chinese knockoff Chinese cartoons. If anything even comes close to EoE it will basically be heavily based off of it to begin with.
>>92315323
No?
