Which is the best book, /co/? I just read all issues of Champions. I liked how light the book feels and how the characters interact with each other without losing their personalities (that has been a problem within most of Marvel's team books Should I read Teen Titans too?
No Company War™ intended.
>>92716879
I've ironically read most of Champions and I think it's a terrible comic.
Haven't read Teen Titans, but there's no way it could be worse.

Viv Vision and Chulk were butchered here. So was Gwenpool. I dont read the others solo books but I'd wager they were too based on the trend.
Does anyone else remember this show.
It's kinda good actually
>>92716777
I only know of the theme song thanks to /co/ soundtracks.
But it always interested me.
>>92716777
>Opening by the fucking Cure
The movie was good too.
I saw it airing randomly and the theme song called my attention
Pretty good cartoon, love how the hunter isn't just brute force but a well built character, like his love for sewing. The movie was great
How come whenever /co/ bitches about telepath characters, nobody ever brings up Saturn Girl?
If I may be so bold, she's pretty much the best telepath character in comics, simply because the usual morally suspect shit they get up to, and the consequences of such, is a major aspect of her character. For bonus points, these stories are usually pretty good. Also, not so stealth Legion thread. Because why the fuck not.
>>92716149
Why is she in Arkham, Johns?
>>92716175
Seriously. As much I love the Legion, and Imra in particular, I'm getting just a touch sick of waiting for some answers.
Presumably she could just walk out of there at anytime, so why hasn't she? Why was that hockey player important, apparently? Gimme something here, Geoff.
I feel like Reboot did her a big disservice in that regard with the literal rape via mind control stuff. She did have some good arcs despite that, but that just left a sour taste in my mind. She should be more competent than that.
>>92716321
I'd say maybe her powers aren't working, but that wouldn't explain it because she is crafty enough to get out anyway so she must be there willingly for whatever reason.
Let's predict the SHOCKING twist from SE3
>>92716142
Hydra Cap kills the Steve Rogers from last issue. But then IN A SECOND TWIST by killing him it allows Steve Rogers to possess Hydra Cap's body transforming him into regular Captain America again.
>>92716142
Rich the leech already semi-spoiled it, another hero pledges loyalty to Hydra.
As you guys know I'm currently pitching a new show to Nick. The show would centre around a character named Myrtle, an purple alien from a planet where aliens have no eyes but their antenas are a way to see thorough stuff on the planet (ala Wildmuff from Ben 10). One day a meteor strikes killing all the aliens but Myrtle who escapes and rides on the meteor which crashes onto earth. Myrtle wakes up finding herself in a wacky surreal world where anything can happen but still keeps it grounded in a sense (kinda like Courage The Cowardly Dog or early Regular Show), the world has super human kids that are a homage/parody to the Justice League/Avengers, a computer as Mayor, special crayons that can take you to anywhere you wish or make things come to life. Myrtle finds out that the antenas can only work on her home planet and finds it hard to to adapt to earth, vampire koala bears that try to suck Myrtle's soul for world domination and characters of all shapes and sizes such as buses and trains as drivers themselves (inspirations from Busy Buses and Thomas and Friends), a real mouse being used as an actual mouse to the computer, a book as teacher, fruits, vegetables, furniture and all sorts as characters. A supervillian named HoodKnight (who's a homage to Mulan and Carmen Sandiego) finds Myrtle in the alley wanting to destroy her since she caught her in the act of villiany, but when she sees Myrtle being all innocent not wanting to get killed, it reminds her of her own childhood and hints on why she became evil, so she takes Myrtle in as somewhat of a daughter of her own.
I'm wondering if you guys can give suggestions and ideas.
This does not sound like a good show, sounds like you came up with some random characters and no real plot or setting just the wacky random junk that's been flooding tv and the internet for almost 10 years now
>>92715978
Not to be negative but people will be screaming rip-off over a lot of the ideas here.
sounds like garbage, and a lil edgy for a Nick show
>Ahahaha, good job girls! So, do you think that Jack is gonna come ba-
>*Fades out of existence*
The side characters are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, the series is about Jack, they knew what was going to happen if he went back and stopped Aku.
>>92715915
Season 5 Genndy started out strong, then fucked it all up.
I'm Russian and nobody who I've seen discussing the new season is upset that Jack went back to the past
I mean there are people who are unsatisfied with the ending, but not a single one I've seen lists Jack "killing" everybody as part of their complaints. If anything, this seems like a natural thing to do for the greater good.
This is probably one of the few good things that have stayed as a part of Russian mentality after USSR. Sacrificing sentiment for practicality. In many Russian people's minds, there's no "but he killed all those people". Or at least that's not important. What important is that he rid the world of Aku. End of the story. No need to torture yourself with petty self-reflection about something you cannot change. The ending is Genndy's roots showing from deep inside of him.
>Characters everyone jobs to
>>92715889
He's actually meant to be pretty fucking powerful. Sometimes I feel like the whole spider gimmick is just to make people underestimate him. If he called himself something like Superman or Power Man and had a different costume it would still fit.
>>92715939
Casuals only see him on street level so most people forget he's the complete package: strength, speed, smarts, fighting skills and a broken 6th sense.
>>92715939
>>92716059
Spiderfags are so fucking annoying.
So, I'm crazy about all kinds of comics, as long as it has a relatively realistic art style. Stuff from Marvel, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, 2000 AD, IDW, etcetera.
And I'm not some whiny SJW prick who want to see them stop sexualizing female characters. I think it should be encouraged - show them off bending over in sexy thongs and stuff, you know? Why not.
But I never managed to find any male examples of this. Women love male butts - every second woman I've talked to has said they do. And gay guys and bisexual guys almost always love male butts.
So, my challenge is simple - try to find any examples of these type of comics I'm talking about where they show off a sexy male butt in a thong, optionally maybe when he bends over? Just for shits and giggles.
Nightwing
>>92716515
Really? I never remember him wearing a thong.
>>92715864
I know. How come those women owned comic companies never put out stuff women would like?
Or were you insisting the men make stuff they don't want to.

What's the deal with so many series finales revolving around bringing back a huge chunk of characters from past episodes to aid in one final battle against the Big Bad Guy?
Aren't there more original/creative ideas for giving a show proper closure?
more fan service than a story telling device.
Continuity nods and making it feel like every part of the journey meant something.

>Bleeding Cool understands from multiple sources that long-standing X-Men editor Daniel Ketchum was let go by Marvel Comics on Tuesday.
>Popular with fans, no reason has been officially given. Marvel are making no comment and Daniel has not returned inquiries.
>But Ketchum did change his Twitter account description to remove the mention that he is a Marvel editor. He has, however, kept the “Editor” description which may point towards his current plans.
>Working principally on editing the X-Men titles, Ketchum was one of the people behind the recent ResurrXion relaunch of mutant titles, including the upcoming Iceman comic, and was a regular voice on CBR’s X-Position columns.

Pretty cool rundown of Warner's four failed attempts to make a movie about the Flash over the years.
https://www.flickeringmyth.com/2014/01/born-to-run-bringing-flash-to-screen/
David Goyer's pitch from 2004.
>Barry Allen sacrifices himself to save Keystone City from a malfunctioning machine created by the Turtle to steal his speed and bestows his power to his nephew Wally West. Barry's best friend Hunter Zolomon is crippled in the explosion.
>Wally's aunt Iris wants him to become the Flash, but Wally is afraid of ruining Barry's legacy and only uses his power for personal gain until an evil speedster known as "Zoom" shows up, breaks the Turtle out of jail and helps him rebuild the speed-stealing machine.
>Zoom reveals himself to be Zolomon, who believes Wally doesn't deserve to be the Flash and is angry Barry didn't choose him instead. He was artificially given speed by the Turtle and has become addicted to it.
>Zoom and Turtle kidnaps Iris and Wally's girlfriend Tina McGee to lure Wally into a trap. Wally gets trapped in the Speed Force trying to escape from the machine and meets Barry, who has been trapped there ever since his death and gives Wally what's left of his speed so Wally can escape.
>Zoom goes insane, kills the Turtle and fights Wally to steal his speed, but dies from stealing more speed than his body can process. Wally then vows to rescue Barry from the Speed Force.
Ryan Reynolds was slated to play either Barry or Wally in the movie, which Goyer was also going to direct. Goyer said he was drawing inspiration from Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" movies and "Batman Begins" and even brought an MIT consultant to make sure superspeed was depicted as scientifically accurately as possible, but WB kept delaying production and demanding rewrites and Goyer eventually dropped out.
Chris Brancato's pitch from 2007.
>Wally is a juvenile delinquent who hates the Flash without knowing that he's Barry. He also has a crush on Barry's assistant Linda Park, who is dating Detective Hunter Zolomon. Barry dies in an explosion at the crime lab and Wally gets doused with chemicals.
>Wally becomes an douchebag motocross pilot. Iris, who has become a senator, is killed in a suspicious lightning storm that also activates Wally's powers. Wally finds out Barry and Iris were killed by Vandal Savage, an immortal conqueror masquerading as the city mayor. Zolomon is working for Savage and set off the explosion that killed Barry, while Savage used a weather machine to cause the storm that killed Iris.
>Wally finds out that Savage is planning to use the machine to wipe out the human race and rebuild it to his image and travels back in time to train with Barry. He then becomes the Flash and stops Savage.
>Zolomon is arrested for his crimes and Wally gets together with Linda. He then decides to honor Barry's legacy by becoming the new Flash.
Shawn Levy was slated to direct the movie after Goyer dropped out with a new rewrite from Brancato. Scott Porter was named as the studio's favored choice to play Wally. and there was still interest in casting Reynolds as Barry.
Levy eventually dropped out and WB decided to focus on the "Justice League: Mortal" project from 2009 that'd be directed by George Miller and come up with a Flash spin-off out of it.
>Barry is the Flash and Wally is Kid Flash.
>Batman creates a spy-satellite called "Brother Eye" to monitor Earth's superheroes, which is hijacked by his old flame Talia Al Ghul and corrupt businessman Maxwell Lord.
>Lord and Talia target Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter with nanotech-based weapons, forcing them to retreat to Superman's Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic, where Batman alerts them about the conspiracy.
>Barry and Wally find out Lord is the sole survivor of a secret government program that experimented on children with psychic abilities and and wants revenge on Earth's heroes for not protecting him.
>The heroes confront Lord, who mind-controls Superman into nearly killing Wonder Woman, forcing Batman to break his neck. Lord's mind merges with Brother Eye and unleashes a nanovirus that'll turn everyone on Earth into a hivemind controlled by him.
>The heroes battle Lord's army of robots. Barry taps into the Speed Force and transverses the world at the speed of light, removing the nanobots from every person on Earth and sacrificing himself in the process. Superman then destroys Brother Eye.
>The heroes decide to form the Justice League and Wally adopts the mantle of the Flash to honor Barry's legacy.
Adam Brody was going to play Barry alongside D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Hugh Keays-Byrne as the Martian Manhunter, Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord and Teresa Palmer as Talia.
Anton Yelchin and Zoe Kazan were in talks to play Wally and Iris, and David Dobkin had been lined up to helm the spin-off, but the whole project fell apart because of the Writer's Strike.
>Go to parallel universe
>Discover the planet was ravaged by nuclear war and the last survivor is a horribly mutated child
>Said child builds a portal to take them home, which would have been otherwise impossible
>Murder the child in cold blood for no reason and leave
What the hell was the Justice Leauge's problem?
suffer not the mutant to live
He wasn't the only survivor. He was forcing other people to live in his weird fantasy.
>>92714989
>Forgetting that the Mutated child was keeping all the other survivors in a limbo of background action to get his Jimmy Olsen fix.
