So I was brain storming ideas for what my ideal DC cartoon would be like and one of those things included making more use of colors in creative fitting ways like in comics.
Then I stumbled upon this:
https://youtu.be/uFEHTAnsmGU
Damn... a shame they didn't go with this.
But why don't Cartoons make use of colors as creatively as comics? Cartoons usually stick to a template of set colors and rarely veer off into comic book colors territory.
Is it because colorists in animation don't have the mind set of comic book colorists? Is it too expensive or time consuming? Is it that these colors would lose its novelty over time?
I HATE the DC animated bland as fuck art style they use every time. Also that weird thing where everybody pauses between pieces of dialogue, it's really awkward. Anyone else notice that?
Unambitious animators working in a field that doesn't pay all that well, isn't very rewarding, and was a bitch to actually get into. Probably? Very cookie cutter.
Why do you think good animators are usually well known instead of being a blanket of faceless bad animators in a company like WB?

animators aren't trained to be creative, they're trained like factory workers. "this is the way you do it, now go do that ten thousand times then go home for the day"
This thread never really talks about anything about other comic labels. why is that?
Because this thread just started?
Because Marvel and DC are the two biggest publishers and despite peoples complaints capes are by far the most popular genre.

i meant board my mistake :L
I finished the novel a couple days ago and I wanna watch the movie. I found the theatrical version, but I've been told the directors cut is better,
but I can't find it anywhere because I'm a poorfag.
What should I do /co/?
Pirate it.
>>92776732
Just watch the theatrical, the animated version of the pirate story isn't that great.
>>92777093
Protip: the pirate story in the book isn't that great.

Shit was pretty fun.

So why is reddit and /co/ so obsessed with Michael Cera in cartoon form?
>>92776233
That's not fair, Morty is capable of more than one expression, and he stutters rather than delivering everything in a wooden monologue.
O-oh Geez Rick, I-I don't know if this is such a good idea!
>>92776233
Isn't Rick and Morty basically "Reddit: The Show"?
How good are the Flash Rebirth issues?
>>92776224
They are so good that not only will every disease and ailment you have will be fixed, but you will have a greater understanding of the universe and be sexually satisfied for the rest of your life.
>>92776263
Oh.. Thats great to hear. Theres so much time that i don't read a comic that i almost forgot what they are.
How are the Superman and Batrman ones too?
>>92776224
Pretty by-the-book, casual-friendly comic.
I think it is aimed at people who like the TV show and see Rebirth as a chance to jump in the comics.
It's not bad, but it won't be really recommended in the future.
G.I. JOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO #240

Just for this he deserves respect.

Most of those things ended up being negative influences though. He'll be the first to admit it at that.

What's the Scooby Doo timeline? What's considered canon?
Its all canon. All of it.
Multiverse theory.
>>92775656
They make it seem like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and What's New, Scooby-Doo? take place within the same continuity.
DOO CENTRAL’S FUN FACT FRIDAYS - THE MULTI-SCOOBY-DOONIVERSE THEORY
image
Hello everybody! This week’s Fun Fact Friday post is going to be a little different than other posts that I’ve made here on Doo Central. Rather than relay to you all fun facts about the Scooby-Doo franchise, I wanted to pitch an idea.
About a month ago, I posted on the Scooby Addicts forum about what was the “correct” telling of how Scooby became a part of the gang. There’s actually multiple ways that Scooby came to be a member of Mystery Inc. (a Fun Fact Friday post going into detail about that linked here). I suggested that all the stories were correct because maybe the entire Scooby-Doo franchise…is a multiverse.

Yes you read that right. Due to some Scooby-Doo series referencing others and being related as well as the things that don’t add up, I’m suggesting that there are at least eight distinct Scooby-Doo timelines. The following are the names of each timeline:
1) Paranormal Generic Timeline
2) Non-Paranormal Generic Timeline
3) Large Coolsville Timeline
4) Small Coolsville Timeline
5) Crystal Cove Timeline
6) Frankencreepy Timeline
7) Shaggy & Scooby-Doo! Get a Clue Timeline
8) Be Cool, Scooby-Doo Timeline
I’m going to describe each one and what series/movies exist in them. The time periods of these series/movies aren’t concretely relevant in this look at the timelines.
Keep in mind that some of these timelines share series and I’ll explain why too. I’ll justify why some of them are grouped together and why some don’t work in certain timelines. So lets get to it!
Who is the western equivalent of Guts?
Not Batman. Guts is too vengeful.
Not Punisher. Guts is too kindhearted.
Wolverine?
>>92775577
Guts doesn't have amnesia. Who has a prosthetic arm and fights demons?
>>92775577
I'd say Slaine, except Slaine is a complete bastard.
why would there be one
>Jewish
>Manages to excel in at least two sports (gymnastics and horseback riding)
I thought they're black
Did she meet Molly yet? She should.
Horseback riding is as much of a sport as babysitting is a career.
Nothing ever ends....
You think Moore was actually warning us of the state of comics in the future?
what does /co/ thinks about the show Fangbone
it's good to see a show where boys can still be boys and be friends with other boys
its a good show
i like it
Anyone got a mega of the episodes?
