You guys recommend any good comics?

Capeshit or non?
>>92792709
Preferably non, but if it's good sure
Why does /co/ hate his backstory? Exactly what did he retcon from the original show?
who cares, korra is fanfiction
>>92792043
1- they explained shit that didn't need to be explained
2- the story doesnt even make sense; people were literally living in turtles Because no one ever thought to ask the turtle If they could keep their powers. Wan was literally just the first Guy to ask.
3- in the end Wan was the worst avatar, considering how he fucked the planet. Korra second, kyoshi "not gonna help the earth nation" in third.
The Avatar's nature changed. Raava/Vaatu were some Yin/Yang deal, but the Avatar isn't even the balanced fusion. Instead it is only one half of the harmonious whole. And it loses the authority it had to step in when balance is threatened because "balance" becomes what Raava wants, rather than some external balance.
The spirit portals that no one ever knew about. How the oasis Aang was in during season 1 of ATLA was the most spiritual place at the North Pole according to Yue.
Also the spirits never needed any physical portals to move between the worlds before, but now the majority of them do.
Humans being able to walk to the spirit world physically goes against the whole spirit part of the spirit world.
Bending is mutant powers bereft of cultural/environmental context since it stems from where the lion turtle touched you a long time ago.
The Avatar's contact with their past lives is a function of the spirit grafted to them.
However, a lot of /co/ loves Wan because he is not Korra.
Also why did the movie bombed so hard if it was so popular?
I re-read it last year. It's cute and I like the slice-of-life aspects.
Honestly, I wish they didn't make a movie. A cartoon would have been way better.
>>92791962
I think it's been long enough since the movie came out that they could make a cartoon.
At the same time even o'malley has distanced himself from it.
I wrote that last night as a reply to a /tv/ thread while unable to sleep, so... here you go I guess. Shame to go to waste.
>12 Seasons
>Character Piece
Season 1 has Doom as President/Prime Minister of Latveria, a few weeks after taking it over. Flashbacks reveal his uprising and origins. The Maker is teased. Doom travels to Mephisto's realm in the finale and gets pwned.
Season 2 has Doom finding that his newly appointed government officials are rotten to the core. The rest of the world is starting to fear Latveria. Doom finds out about his illegitimate son Kristoff and takes him in under his wing. In the finale the people stage a coup, Doom decimates them, and he declares himself judge, jury and executioner. The Maker is teased some more.
Season 3 has Latveria completely under Doom's iron fist. He sets his sights to once again rescuing his mother, so he spends the whole season training in the mystic arts. Morgana Le Fay, Merlyn, the Marquis of Death and maybe Doctor Strange appear. Doom saves his mother in the finale, she moves on to Heaven, and the Maker appears in the final scene.
Season 4 has the Maker starting to put his plan in motion. This is where Doom starts being attacked on all fronts by some revamped Marvel Characters. The Intelligencia, Silver Sable and others appear. The finale has Doom learn about the Maker, and showcases the falling out between him and Reed.
Season 5 has Doom and the Maker square off in the first episode. Reed "loses", but leaves Doom with doubts. Here we introduce Kang & the High Evolutionary and start getting in the cosmic horror ballpark. The finale finds a distraught Doom being killed by Lucia Von Bardas, backed by the US Government, which is being used as a puppet by the Cabal.
Season 6 finds Doom in Hell trying to make his way back, and dealing with Nightmare, Mephisto and generally lots of Alt-Us. In the meantime Kristoff is in hiding and trying to reclaim the throne. Doom starts building a proto-religion. In the finale he and his army "kill" Mephisto, he reclaims the throne and declares war on the world.
Season 7 has Doom actively trying to conquer the planet, gathering allies, winning battles, all that jazz. In the finale Doom conquers the world, is crowned Emperor Supreme, with Morgana Le Fay as his Queen and Kristoff as his heir. The final shot is the Silver Surfer declaring the coming of Galactus.
Season 8 has Doom actively trying to go up against a truly Eldritch Abomination. He manages to find Ego the Living Planet, and reluctantly teams up with the Maker to create Planet Doom, which is able to somehow kill Galactus. With the natural order of things disrupted, the other Elder Gods and whatnot start to awaken.
Season 9 has Doom traversing the stars to find out more info about the Elder Gods/Celestials. Lots of Cosmic World Building. He finds the Council of Doom, joins, gets locked in a never ending battle with the Council of Reeds, and finally kills both Councils to avoid Shuma-Gorath entering the plane. He and the Maker are the only Doom and Reed left, and the finale has them get get ready to start a Multiversal Chess.
Season 10 has Doom building his Multiversal Religion, and the Maker creating his new Godkin. The Elder Gods awaken and a Multiversal battle on all planes errupts. Doom and the Illuminati race against the Maker and the Intelligencia. The Elder Gods attack, reality breaks, everyone dies and the finale ends on a cliffhanger.
>>92791525
Season 11 is basically Doom governing Battleworld, and a heroic version of Reed (this Reed would be present in the series and alluded to, for example he'd be the Reed who never joined the Council and there'd be nods to him) banding up with other heroes to lead a revolt against him. In the end it all comes crashing down, Doom, tired of everything subconsciously gives up and Reed reboots everything. The final scenes find Doom and Reed encountering God, with Reed staying behind as an architect of the new Omniverse, and Doom cast down on Earth to try and earn redemption. The final shot is of him removing his mask and seeing that the scars are all gone.
Season 12 is more of an extended epilogue. We're back to Doom as just King of Latveria. Doom resigns from King, appoints Kristoff transitional Prime Minister and holds Ellections. He remodels himself as a hero, uses his knowledge of the future to prevent disasters, etc, etc.
>>92791572
The finale finds him, now a couple thousands of years old and kept alive by his magic and tech, wandering the vastness of the human empire. It's not a Utopia, but neither is it a hellhole. The Von Doom name was erased somewhere down the line, and the world has forgotten about that age and moved on. Doom realizes his time has come and an Angel appears, leading him to Heaven. There, the Angel shows him two hallways, each with a door at the end. One leads to Heaven, where Victor can have everything his heart desires, and the other leads to Nothing, where his soul is truly erased. Doom recites Ozymandias, and chooses the 2nd door, as he has been both hero and villain, scientist and sorcerer, etc, etc. He feels there's nothing more for him to experience.
As he walks through the door all of his deeds flash before him, and we get a recap of all 12 seasons as "Viva La Vida" plays in the background. He looks back and sees everyone he's ever loved. He lets out a bittersweet smile, and goes to open the door. But he hesitates. Suddenly, he finds himself not so sure. He traces his steps back and finds the Angel once again. He explains that for the first time in his life he feels... small. The Angel smiles, morphs into God and says "live".
The final scene is of a cafe overlooking a sunny beach. A couple of children are playing in the sand, as the camera starts panning back to show the F4, Kristoff, Morgana (or maybe Scarlet Witch), etc, etc sitting in a table and having a good time. "You can't always get what you want" starts playing as the camera moves on to Reed & Doom. Reed's the Heroic one from S11. Reed says "I imagined you'd have chosen differently. Considering..." to which Doom responds "Well, I figured before the curtains fell and the play ended, I had time to try just one more thing." with Reed asking "What?". The camera pans over to Doom saying "...Live..." as the song ends and the screen fades to black.
Cheesy finale, but I like it.
Fuck....early viewers are saying it's good.
What do we do if this gets a certified fresh? Say that RT doesn't matter??? Fuck..that means we'll have to stop bragging about RT scores.
Wait I know! Let's just say WB finally caved and started paying reviewers.
Fuck fuck fuck....this CANNOT be good, Bros...
Is this really how you chose to spend your free time?
Damn, what am I supposed to do with my Evans shoops now, /co/? My boss is going to fire me for not shilling hard enough.
What if it's actually good and we admit it's good and stop being autistic about it.
What if the DCEU and MCU both coexist with solid movies.
This wasn't good. Like old GL comics really started to suck around the 70s and 80s.
Seriously why does Hal even have fans before John's? Have you guys read the older shit?
For every memorable story there was utter shit like the Zamarons and Oans leaving to bang in another dimension. Or some shitty story of Guy using Sinestro s ring.
Or like Hal fucking a 13 year old girl.
Kyle was honest to god a much needed presence by the time Hal became parallax. Seriously even then it had issues.
Based John's actually made GL tolerable and interesting again.
there are a few gems here and there but your right for the most part
It's not all terrible, but most of the Silver/Bronze Age GL stuff is largely remembered as historical context.
John and Guy were both more interesting than Hal, and that says a lot, considering how wooden John was for most of his existence. And Guy works best in a humorous context, a la Giffen/DeMatteis JL.
>>92791377
>Or some shitty story of Guy using Sinestro s ring.
Only thing shitty here is your taste apparently.
Is it possible for his powers to be used for good?
>>92791296
Maybe not "Good", but I'm sure there's a shadowy goverment organization that'd pay him to tell people "Tell the truth" or whatnot. Not to mention turning people into assassins or thieves against their will.
So you could at least find legal work, just probably not very moral work. Or you could be a sort of marriage counselor if you had people sign enough disclaimers.
Yes, the whole hostage situation shows that.
But can anyone be trusted to remain completely heroic with those, that's a whole other matter.
The only good I could see his powers be used for is talking people out of killing others/themselves.
I want to buy some Silver Surfer comics.
Is it safe to buy the Silver Surfer Epic Collection (When Calls Galactus, Freedom, & The Infinity Gauntlet)?
Would I be missing out in any Surfer stories or do these "EPIC" collections have all the required readings?
No.
Because you can always get others.
And if you like it, that is very probable.
>>92791370
Okay, if I were to get those three collection novels, what other readings stories am I missing?
>>92791283
bump
Does it still suck?
The new arc is better
The lesbians are absent
>>92791267
It improved a little bit, but if you didn't like it before you probably wouldn't like it now
Yup. Take your cash and give them to Priest's Deathstroke. Woke Coates doesn't deserve all the praise.

It's going to be rubbish eh
Why didn't he just kill Judy when she caught onto his tax evasion? If he ate the body its not like anyone would have any evidence to trace it to him.
>>92790031
The bones would have distinct marks, similar to that of a fox's teeth and claws. Also, I'm assuming that someone at the station at least knew that Judy was tailing Nick, so suspicion would immediately fall on him.

He doesn't like the taste of rabbit.

He's not a savage animal.
What will you remember most about this entire series?

huh. Maus also depicts jews as mice. Is there a non full-/pol/ reason for it?
HEY, DIPPER
It's like he predicted the exact direction the show would take
