I seriously do not see how this show gets all the praise it gets

Been meaning to make a thread about it but here's my take. /co/ lead me to believe it sucked. You're saying it gets praised.
I think what it is the FIRST season was good and the SECOND season was shit. What made the first season good was how they used a lot of DC material and story lines accurately. But the second season just started making up stuff and spent way too much time focusing on the Reach, rather than cycling out threats/villains like the first season.

>I think what it is the FIRST season was good
You thought wrong, it also sucked largely because the characters were awful.
Is there anybody who could make a good girlfriend or wife to Dr Manhattan, who won't get angry if Dr Manhattan multitasks during sex?

my god. cable television really is a dying breed.
Why hasn't Rick and Morty moved to Netflix yet?!??!
There wouldn't be much difference besides less bleeps.
And...okay you have me on the boobs though. I'm convinced.
Wut.

How come The Nutshack and The Bee Movie managed to become viral memes, but not Skeet? It seemed like Skeet was just a 4chan meme. It's sad that it didn't go viral

>Disney XD Japan is picking the Nickelodeon TMNT cartoon back up after TV Tokyo cancelled it 2 years ago
Huh. That's weird. Is there a TMNT fanbase in Japan that's big enough to warrant another network reviving a dead series? I guess so...
Let's get this over with.
>XD
>>92928725
Satellite networks are a better place for Japanese dubs of American cartoons than broadcast networks.
At least then it won't be cut for time and given an insipid "corner program" like most American cartoons that wind up on TV Tokyo or TV Aichi.
>>92928725
Sounds like they're just going to air the newer episodes. TMNT 2012 isn't getting revived. Nick already has another turtles show waiting in the wings.

Oops! I thought you said wrong.
Just saw this movie and found it kinda boring. Themyscira was the most interesting part of the movie and as soon as they hit London I got bored. The humor wasn't funny and just felt like a waste of time and none of the characters were likable or memorable... including Wonder Woman.
Now, I'm not a big Wonder Woman fan, so I have a genuine question to actual fans. What are Wonder Woman's defining character traits? In the Timmverse and Injustice, she seems like a diplomatic warrior. In the 2009 animated movie she's an arrogant warrior curious about the outside world but then almost immediately hates it. In the new movie, she seems like a naive and gullible warrior mindlessly trying to fulfill the job of her people because she was continually told it as she grew up.
It just seems to me like she's a "warrior type" without any interesting traits or features. I'm ASSUMING I'm wrong since I haven't read any of her comics, so I wanted to know from you fans what she's like and what comic runs I should read to get to know her better.
TL;DR - What are the best Wonder Woman comic runs that let me get to know the character?
I've heard Nu52 WW was quiet good
WW changes a lot from writer to writer, you must get used to that
George Perez is the name to look for. DC has big expensive hardcovers and affordable paperbacks of his Wondy stuff. It's all top notch and some God Tier art
As all will say, the 1987 Perez run defined her for the modern age.
Stories I've posted:

>>92928369
Untrue. There's two Wonder Woman's: the correct one you see in her solo comics, and the incorrect one you see in comics like Kingdom Come who fights first and asks questions later.
South Park season 2
as bad as Matt and Trey say it is?
>>92928195
It's really not. It has a lot more memorable episodes alone than the past several seasons.

The animation looks pretty shit so far and I say as someone that actually watched all the Marvel cartoons.
>>92928176
So let me get this straight
They are rebooting spider man again? Didnt they already have a spider man cartoon that was kinda popular?
>>92928176
I don't know how they did it, but somehow the animation looks WORSE then Avengers Assemble. Ultimate Spiderman at least looked kinda good most of the time. Disney/Marvel really needs to fucking fix their animation department for these shows, and somehow compete with DC's animated offerings.
>>92928254
USM's Man of Action writing team quit USM after season 2 to focus on Avengers. The Hulk team took over partway into Season 3 to wrap up the 1-2 season storylines and softboot into the SHIELD Academy. It got an additional Season 4 order to float it one more season before the MCU Spider-man was revealed. The new cartoon is more MCU-style within the same Marvel animated universe.
Should this be allowed on a kids show?
>>92928126
I don't see anything wrong with this
>>92928159
It's too sexual for kids, it's not good for kids to get boners too soon
Yes, women are fine to allow in children's shows, anon. They've been around for quite some time.
Now, that absolute lack of effort put into her arms, however...

>The third factor that makes “Wonder Woman” an impressive feat isthe performanceofGalGadot, the actor behind the bracelets.Nailing the part of Wonder Womanhas the potential to land someone generational fame and icon status. And given the expected box office success, it will put Gadot in an exclusive club of the now 250 women who were top billed in a top-100 domestic grossing movie released from 1996 to 2016. Women get top billing on only 24 percent of top-grossing films, according to data from The Numbers, and they are top lead in only 17 percent of the top 25 films in a given year.
Remember how Jamie Alexander took the role of Lady Sif in Thor, a forgettable bit part, and then broke her back doing it, nearly crippling her? Remember how she was going to audition for Wonder Woman but Disney said she wasn't allowed because her contract forbade her from being in a DC movie?
How do you think she feels now knowing this could have been her?
>Headlines her own successful TV show.
>Still has ties with Marvel.
>None of those records actually translate into money in her pocket.
Probably wonders "what if" from times to times.
>>92927956
>How do you think she feels now knowing this could have been her?
Pretty shitty, she should have auditioned anyways.
Not only was she snubbed for Natalie Portman but in Thor: Ragnarok it was her opportunity to shine but instead they are focusing on Valkyrie and already forgot all about her.
>"I was one of a few people that were an obvious choice for Wonder Woman, but it was never going to happen. I’m contracted with Marvel and it would (be) strange. Sif, in her way, is Marvel’s Wonder Woman. They’re both ethereal and have armor and a sword, and have special abilities; the physicality of the role is very similar."
>"Sif, in her way, is Marvel’s Wonder Woman."
Poor woman, too bad, she would have been better than Gadot.
