Thoughts on the Steven Universe episode So Many Birthdays?
Yeash, the Universe men do not age well.

I really wish he had died there.
it was ok but my favorite episode is still The Test
What was his problem?
Superman fucked it all up. That was his problem.
SUPERMAN LET A 12 YEAR OLD BOY DIE~!
I see no problem with this, all three characters are nice and polite, a problem is shown and a solution is addressed, all parties are in agreement.
There's nothing to complain about in this comic.
>>93087245
>Oh, Captain Marvel, you're here already?
Something tells me Steamboat's just humoring Billy's attempts at a secret identity.
Can create literal anything he imagines, but also has:
>super streng
>super resistance
>fly and breath in space
>teleportation
>Shoot energy rays
>telecomunication and translator
What a wasted potential; with all these habilities green lantern doesn't need to create a shit.
>>93087233
That's what we need, more flying bricks
>>93087233
English isn't your first language, i see.
>>93087233
Out of all those abilities, creating things is probably the one I'd find most useful in everyday life.
I'd make my waifu real.
>was gonna appear in a Secret Empire tie in
>replaced with Magik at the last moment and photoshopped out
It's kind of funny how Cyke and Emma keep getting fucked over
Here's the original cover.
>>93087226
I am considerably mad about this and would've made a thread in a while.
Something tells me that the inevitable "there were other plans for the character, other writers claimed her first for an amazing character arc very soon" answer that Breevort or some other fucker will give will be disproved by the absence of Emma from comics for quite some time
Or maybe a shitty full lovestricken villain portrayal
And both in name of the Inhumans, who will never get their comeuppance no matter how much blood is on their hands.
(What I wouldn't give for someone to punch Medusa really hard in her gut)
Did Fred change the credits page so people would stop asking if he's black?
>>93087199
Good to see the homie Doug Dlin's still hangin.
What's Rod Espinosa up to, tho? Pretty sure he used to be on the editoral staff at one point. Is he still with AP?
What books are AP publishing this month that isn't Gold Digger?
>>93087199
fuckin NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD
Oh boy, I can't wait for even more TTGO episodes, anyone else as hyped as I am?!
unironically, im excited for more ttg
This is show is like 10% funny jokes, 40% tolerable, and then 50% pure cringe. It has potential, just stop dancing and making butt jokes
>>93087125
Nice b8
How much did JK Loling steal from this series?
literately everything but the good parts
What is Gaiman's stance on this? He seems like a chill guy so I don't think he would have flipped his lid or anything, but goddamn it's so blatant and undeniable.
>>93087072
Nothing but Tim's looks.
Was it good?
>>93086961
My version is better
>>93086930
If you've ever read and enjoyed the books, you will love this movie.
If you've never read the books, probably not so much.
>introduced as a butch-looking, cocky, no-nonsense SHIELD agent
>is really cool in Secret War and Secret Warrios
>agents of SHIELD happens
>"Skye" is introduced as crazy hacker conspiracy nut
>eventually revealed to be Daisy
>comic starts changing 616 Daisy to be like Skye, with pale skin, long hair and a booksmart "nerd" personality
>TV show tries to make Chloe more like original comics Daisy, including cutting her hair
>comics don't give a shit and we now have a character who is nothing like the original in order to create a tie-in for a TV show
>fans of the TV show don't even buy the comics
>Daisy gets pulled into the Inhumans bullshit in the comics because she can't be a mutant because Fox
>gets to "star" in a new Secret Warriors which is a shitty Inhumans book
Does anyone else get really annoyed when this happens? Hickman's Secret Warriors was fucking amazing and the definitive version of Quake, and now she's been changed into a totally different character with the same name.
I'm sure there's a lot of other examples in the MU, but this one is one of the worst.
I'm annoyed Maria Hill isn't a main character in a series
better short haired Bendis created waifu
>>93086792
I'm with him.
Spencer and Kot's Secret Avengers > Secret Warriors
literately who cares about any inhuman
Name a better main character and waifu in modern /co/. I'll wait.

Glimglam.

Fuck off Pony poster.
Whatever happened to done-in-one single issues? Decompression has gotten out of control, as it seems like every book nowadays is set up in 3-6 issue arcs. Apparently for the sole purpose of fitting into a trade collection.
This is hard bullshit. When did we as customers become okay with waiting a month to pay for a piece of a story, when it used to be we'd get a complete story every month?
>But decompression allows for space to enrich the story!
And yet in practice, that extra space isn't being filled with anything substantial at all. Basically becoming the dreaded 'filler' that /co/ allegedly despises.
>trade waiting
Oh don't give me that shit. The result is the same, waiting up to half a year for a complete story, but with MAYBE a lower overall price tag. Yeah no, I don't care how good the story is at the end, the lot of us only have a limited lifespan. Fuck decompression, single issues need to go back to being, y'know, singular.
>>93086438
This is why I mostly read 70s/80s comics.
Decompression can work if a writer has a lot of story that truly needs 6 issues, but usually it works out to 2 issues of content (at most) stretched out over 6 issues or more.
I can think of just one current series that does done-in-ones all the time: Nick Fury. There are occasional issues of other series (like Batman #23) and I pick those up when I'm aware of them.
nah
this post is retarded
>>93086438
Writers have been writing for trades for ages. The fact is to grab most readers you need a reason for them to come back next month, and that means arcs.
Floppies are becoming increasingly outdated as more people are buying trades.
This is shit but it's not shit enough. What are some really bad Tumblr type comics I can read?
>>93086121
It's like they literally made a list and crammed it all in that cover
I really don't see any fucking issue with that comic.
It's like /co/ Pavloved themelves to hate certain type of design and decided to hat it no water what?
All I am seeing is girls on fantasy adventure with some THICC lesbain undertone.
Nothing to complain about seriously.
>>93086156
The idea is the sense of humor failing and the bad artstyle which culminates into a kind of what i refer to as "tumblr" feeling
Would you watch a spinoff of SU with just Steven, Amethyst and Sadie? Their HQ could be at a buffet or something.
Steven and Amethyst sure but why Sadie?
>>93085593
>two fat characters but why a third fat character?
>>93085575
I hate this bad character and her bad voice actor
Seriously. Even Doctor Strange was outselling his books, and it's not like the movie was the ultra-super-duper success. I won't even mention the sales now that Tony's gone and we have Bendis playing faves.
I'd wager it's the fault of the writers that are put on the title not having any fresh ideas. Which is a shame, really, since IM has lots of stories you can explore. Tony's an industrialist, a super-hero, a futurist/transhumanist, an engineer. He's not just "cosmic hero" or "magic hero" or "street hero".
Just by exploring Tony Stark the man, you have tons of stories to tell. But all they do is go RDJ -> Loses Company due to some Armored Guy -> Gets depressed ->Beats Armor Guy -> Gets company back
Invincible Iron Man was okay until Civil War II
International Iron Man was fucking stupid
Infamous Iron Man is pretty good
>>93085024
Iron Man is a superhero who translates brilliantly to live-action, as he's not cheesy or outdated in the slightest.
He's actually hindered by the comic or cartoon medium, the armor usually ends up looking cartoonishly red and yellow, or lacking in detail. And then you have the comic book abominations where the armor has abs or facial expressions.
There are precious few comic artists who can make the armor look as good as this.
>>93085072
Basically the opposite problem of Superman or Thor.
So... can anyone explain this shit to me, at all?
I just watched all of these videos and I feel like I didn't grasp it at all. Is everything in his head? Is he a human after an apocalypse? Is there an actual plot arc developing over this series?
>>93084984
>Is he a human after an apocalypse?
This seems the most likely scenario, that he's a post-apocalyptic mutant, and most other people seem to be as well.
Pretty sure you're putting far too much thought into what's just supposed to be creepy humour
Granted, I don't think I've watched them all, but I do remember way back when that's all it seemed good for. I'd be surprised if there was any other real purpose to it
It's implied its a post-WW! apocalyptic wasteland and salad fingers is one of a few "inhabitiants". As far as I can tell ALL of the dialog in the series in in his head except for the little girl speaking to him, which causes him to have a mental break. I think he's gone so long without hearing another person speak that it's horrifying to him.
