Obviously
It had a good creative team behind it, and Netflix gave them a good budget to do what they wanted with.
When i was but a lad my pep-pep gave my dad a comic book he found god knows where, it was like one of those big "tales from the far side" type compendiums. i remember it being extremely surrealist and bizarre, and as soon as my dad read it he burnt it, and now i cant remember what it's called. has anyone else seen this or did i accidentally stumble upon the necronomicon or something?

You understand everyone stopped reading here, right
Why were Sonic's siblings never featured in the Archie comics? I know the show was shit, but it seems like for better or for worse, the comics were pretty thorough in how the pulled elements from all different parts of Sonic's history (particularly the American 90's cartoons).
So why leave these two out? I'm sure there's a reason (and I think editors have even tried to dodge the question in the books' Q&A sections) but what exactly is it?
Licensing bullshit and SoJ/Sonic Team never liking the idea.
I mean, it was fairly obvious Sonic Underground was never planned to be a Sonic show until they were forced to add him.
That just leave the question of if Manic or Sonia was originally supposed to get the guitar.

To bring back Swamp Thing...somehow? I really don't remember I wasn't as into comic books at the time it came out. But damn, a year long goosechase that went fucking nowhere, huh?
So what's the /co/nsensus on this season? The later ones seem pretty universally hated (though it's unclear which one of the two is worse), but I'm not sure about this one.
I also read something about this being the final season with heavy influence from Peter Laird, and someone even claimed he may have financed this season himself - is this true at all?
>>93088912
It was a big downhill drop in quality from season 4 and the toyetic aspect got more in-your-face than ever. Which was funny, because Playmates ultimately didn't do a major toy tie-in with the stuff from this season (a major reason why they skipped it in broadcast in favor of FF).
But it at least looks like a proper followup to season 4 and there are major story elements connecting it directly from the previous season. It also gives a good sense of closure on all the major arcs and lingering plot threads. Bad toy stuff aside, you could watch this season and stop here and feel like you got a complete story out of the show.
FF and BttS had involvement from Laird, but you could tell his involvement was mostly done in protest. Neither show look or feel like the first five seasons and since both FF and BttS were abruptly cancelled, neither conclude their storylines or fulfill their narrative promises, so you get no sense of closure on them.
You're better off just watching season 1-5, skipping to Turtles Forever and pretending like FF and BttS didn't happen.

>You're better off just watching season 1-5, skipping to Turtles Forever and pretending like FF and BttS didn't happen.
That's how I've always felt about it and it's not uncommon advice from what I've seen around the web.
>>93089247
Awesome post, but do you know anything about the claim that Laird financed season 5 himself? It would be great to know if that is in fact true or not.
>>93089295
Speaking of Turtles Forever, does that movie tie in with season 6 or 7 in any way? And is it still worth watching if you were never able to get into the 1987 cartoon at all?
Seventeen is for adorableness!
