I still don't understand how the PC people overtook all of the 90s and 2000s kids which grew up through the 84s to 2005s with good cartoons meant to set a standard and a genre for the next generation to come.
Right now we should have been neck-deep in space cartoons, action cartoons, extreme cartoons, 5-man team cartoons about giant robots and aliens, spy cartoons, etc.
And 1 more thing. We should have had a new generation of cartoonists which absolutely hate the "dumb comic relief/straightman" dynamic. Right now we'd have the comic relief being turned into a buttmonkey and the straight man sitting at him laughing and being proven the straightman is always right.

What the fuck was it with always making the annoying "commie/fatlard/idiot" character an untouchable special snowflake nobody should harm and shit on constantly?
Was that Tumblr lurking in the shadows planting the seeds and waiting for the moment to strike?
Don't think PC people are to blame here. The rise of cheap, kid-friendly live action and internet entertainment slow TV Animation down considerably.
>>93243255
As for action shows, well, anime took a huge chunk of that pie unfortunately.

Hey Lois, remember that point in time when lions weren't critically endangered species due to our natural misunderstanding and abuse towards them? It's sad really. They're kinda nice when you get to know them.

Lions aren't endangered, they are becoming a fucking pest in the savans and eating the food of other predators
CATALYST PRIME is Lion Forge's second attempt at capeshit (the first, of the same name, from a few years ago, faltered). It is set in a certain liberal movement's dream world.
The Event FCBD one-shot is like Deep Impact meets Fantastic Four with some shady big science entity.
>>PREVIEWSworld: What does Catalyst Prime bring to the superhero genre and how does it stand out?
>Joseph Illidge: The vitality of the new. Let’s be honest. Fans are tired of reboots. There are no more definitive mythologies to the heroes we love, anymore. They’re in a constant state of cosmic, sales-based flux. CATALYST PRIME is the beginning of a new superhero mythology, and the collection of talented creators are the team of ambassadors introducing a new universe to regular and new readers. As a science-based, socio-political based superhero universe, CATALYST PRIME brings more of a balance between the real world and the fantastic to comic books. It stands out visually, through the variety of art styles within a unified publication design by Rian Hughes. When fans see CATALYST PRIME comics on the shelves, the quality, dynamism, and distinguishable identity of the line will be clear.

>Christopher Priest: In the 1-shot, my main contribution is adding some layers onto the core character of Lorena Payan, a fun mix of Imelda Marcos and Mother Theresa.

>“Like all things in superhero comics, there are secret origins.
>The Catalyst Prime superhero universe, is no exception.
>When President Geoff Gerber brought me on board to be the Senior Editor for Lion Forge, one of my first jobs was to get Catalyst Prime back on track. Several books had been released, but they hadn’t been on a regular schedule and they reflected the inconsistent efforts of a novice publisher. So, I reached out to various creators who had worked on the previous books to see if they wanted to remain involved.
>A handful of creators respectfully declined to return, based on their workloads and creative endeavors. We accepted.
>Others, like Joe Casey, were available to continue. We decided that, the best approach to creating a great and lasting superhero universe, offering something different to everyone, would be to start from the ground up, with a strong foundation that would not require readers to know anything about the previous books and that would not require our new creators to tie themselves to concepts, storylines, and artistic decisions that did not originate with them. I was thankful to receive the support from upper management on this.
>So this Catalyst Prime is new, with a brain trust of writers, a group of creators, and an inclusive company dedicated to making the best superhero comic books, and creating a world that will stand the test of time in popular fiction.”
— Joseph P. Illidge
>St Louis, Missouri-based publisher Lion Forge Comics launched the start of a shared superhero universe known as “Catalyst Prime” this past May with a Free Comic Book Day one-shot issue co-written by Christopher Priest and senior editor Joe Illidge (known to CBR readers as the writer of “The Mission” column), with art from Marco Turini and Jessica Kholine.
>From that grand opening, the publisher plans to launch one new series every month for the next seven months, starting in May with Noble and continuing this month with Accell, out now from the creative team of writer Joe Casey and artist Damion Scott.
>It’s a huge new venture for the publisher, and one which lands them into a marketplace directly against the long-standing connected universes of companies like Marvel, DC Comics and Valiant Entertainment. What makes Catalyst Prime something new, different, and interesting? CBR conducted a roundtable interview to find out everything about the launch, speaking to: Alex de Campi, writer of Astonisher; Amy Chu, writer of Summit, Brandon Thomas, writer of Noble, Damion Scott, artist for Accell, Joe Casey, writer for Incidentals, Kino and Accell and Ray-Anthony Height, artist for Superb.
>CBR: What interested you in the idea of working with Lion Forge as a part of Catalyst Prime?
>Joe Casey: Any chance I get to write comic books, I’m usually down for. They’re my first love, after all. Plus, I’ve known the guys who run Lion Forge for a few years now and I think they’re committed to doing good work that has real impact, which is something else I can definitely get behind.

Which of these stories did you enjoy more?
DC > marvel
both are shitty
Buckycap and the subsequent Winter Soldier series by Brubaker are the only good things from his run. The rest is so fucking boring. Whereas the entirety of Morrison's run including Dickbats is entertaining even if Batman Inc was kind of fucked by New 52. So Dickbats >*.

Do you think Harry figured out Spider-Man's identity? Something about how this whole scene played out suggests to me that he did.
>>93241916
No, he just knew that Gwen was going to dump him for Peter. And he decided to his his father's "death" as guilt to trap her.
Plus Peter takes pictures of Spidey so he probably resents him for that.
>Peter didn't get the girl.
>Norman got away.
>Chameleon got away.
>Black Cat hates Spider-Man.
>Sandman was possibly entering a redemption arc.
>Connors lost his lab to Warren who's interest in mutating people was possibly building up to the Jackal.
>Eddie is possibly in the nuthouse.
>The symbiote escaped.
>Being Liz is suffering.
>John is still in the nuthouse.
>Hobgoblin, Scorpion, Carnage, and Hydro-Man possibly could have happened.
Disney picked the worst fucking time to buy Marvel.
