>Network starts new cartoon show
>Network airs several episodes of new cartoon show
>Network puts cartoon show on 6 month hiatus destroying any interest in new cartoon show
>Network inevitably cancels new cartoon show due to lack of interest/ratings.
Why does this keep happening?
They think it helps and after Steven Universe did it, FUCKING EVERYONE did it. The Loud House, Star Vs. Milo Murphy, Spongebob, Regular Show, Gumball, We Bare Bears, Clarence, etc. The reason why it tanks is because in unlike Steven Universe, New shows and comedy shows do not have hype behind them and a reason to tune in either EVERY DAY at 4/3c!™©® or every week at a EXTREMELY early timeslot. I mean, are they kidding? Who is going to watch Clarence at 3 in the afternoon and Tangled and 6::00 In the evening. Fucking nobody. It's too early. It also gets grating to have to tune in every day for mixed bag shows and finding the time to do so.
What works for Steven Universe (most popular cartoon lore show) does not fit a good business model for other cartoons. Especially comedy shows like Clarence, Gumball, and Milo Murphy. It sucks.

But they've already renewed Tangled: The Series for a second season.
>>93412284
Its on Disney though and they don't give a fuck if you watch it since toys are the money maker this show will be poping out an episode or two for the next twenty years.
>>93412481
Tangled has an full series green light, meaning it will go as long as its creator wants to, like Star Wars Rebels. The hiatus ends next month on the 23rd or something.
Was he actually a good version of Batman or is that just what hipsters and boomers say?
What is your definition of good?
What is your definition of hipster?
/tv/ has enough of a foothold here that these questions must unfortunately be asked.
Adam West wasn't just a campy superhero.
He was THE campy superhero. Yes, it was a good version of Batman.
>>93412349
you can do better than Adam West playing the batman.
you can do worse than Adam West playing the batman.
you can NEVER be Adam West as the batman.
Explain.
Didn't have the rights to use certain intellectual properties. It wasn't a bad spinoff/continuation it certainly didn't have the charm of the original but it was at least decent over all. Tara strong talking to herself with Omi and PingPong *sigh* was a bit obnoxious but it's worth at least having on as background noise.

Didn't theyh have to rename a lot of the Wu as well?

I remember this comic going from harmless to extremely dark really fast.
How important is art style in your enjoyment of a cartoon or comic?
Will you not pick something up simply because of the way it looks or are visuals secondary to other things?
>>93411445
Yes, its hard to enjoy a cartoon when I can't stare at it for more than 5 seconds
Very important. Comics and cartoons are a visual medium so I'd definitely put how it looks as my top priority.
Yeah, I couldn't watch Problem Solverz.
/co/, do not eat that dirt

Who is DCs biggest jobber and why is it Green Lantern
no it's this guy, "fastest man alive"
>>93411274
Fuck this show is bad.
Had so much potential too.
>>93411259
This movie was such hot garbage.
It was also a fairly fitting start for the equally shitty universe that would spring off of it.
Hey friends need some help. Me and my brother used to watch this movie as kids. It was animated and like an anthology of folktale stories. My memory is vague but I remember a girl with a magic key being chased through the woods. Then one with girls dancing with princess who are demons and then one with a goblet of some kind? Help is greatly appreciated. Oh it was a vhs from like the late 80s or 90s
Pic unrelated
Pippi Longstocking and the Secret of the Dark Crystal Queen.

Real answers you bastard! With all due respect.
So /pol/ found out about the weird videos on youtube involving live-action Disney princesses and superheroes doing strange and sometimes fetishistic things. Of course, /pol/ is retarded and turned it into some conspiracy, but questions remain, including but not limited to:
- who's responsible for these videos?
- why are the scripts so needlessly strange and fetishistic?
- what, if any, is the connection to girlgames.com and the similar seemingly auto-generated cartoons?
- do parents just not monitor what their kids watch anymore?
Also, general weird cartoon-related cashgrab media thread.

Who's the babby daddy?
They're just clickfarm videos pumped out on the cheap to keep literal babies entertained.
Also bots.
You... big... JERK!
Now you've made me angry!
Very... Very... VERY...!Ah, forget it.
You can fight Papi yourself Monty, I'm gonna get myself some Rocky Road.
Top three betrayals of history (organized by emotional pain inflicted):
3. Brutus betraying Caesar and stabbing him to death
2. Judas betraying Jesus by selling him out to the Romans
1. The Kids Next Door writing staff betraying the fans by making this fucking scene
I never felt more pissed off at a cartoon than at that moment. That was bullshit. I wanted to see that fight, Father didn't have to win, but I would have loved to see two fire elementals as powerful as they were duke it out.
ITT: best versions of a character

All of them. No contest.
Kek how many oblique mysteries and dangling plot resolutions is Lindelof going to jam into this shit?
Can't be worse than the worst man to ever live whose daughter deserved death's adaptation.
The comic isn't enough, huh.
It has to be butchered and shat out from people who had nothing to do with the original comic.
Also:
>Lindelof
kek
I actually feel like Watchmen would be better suited for a miniseries then a movie. There's a lot more that you could fit in.
As for how the show is, I hope it takes advantage of the television medium the same way the original book used the comics medium to tell it's story. Like for example, after the squid gets dropped on New York, we could just have a long take of the camera scanning the brutal destruction as we hear the pained shouts and screams of survivors in the distance. It would do the same thing the comics did with the splash pages, just in a different way.
What was so great about being in a room full of men?
