How do you feel about this show?
I think the shorts are a lot of fun, but some of the full-length episodes were way too deep for me.
>>95056324
Great shorts; great series. The movie was among the worst /co/ adaptations to be made, but the tie in video game and comics made up for that shit.
>>95056324
I really liked it. But that's mainly because I'm a fan of obscure animation and this show was basically a weird experiment in animation and storytelling. It's understandable if most people don't like it.
>>95056324
my favorite episode was the big battle one they had at the end of the first season.
in terms of the second, my favorite was either the demiurge one or the one with the aliens.
it was pretty good in my opinion
This was boring.
>>95056255
Welcome to Iron Man.
>>95056255
>Iron Man fights a super redneck
when you put it like that it sounds boring
>>95056255
The story itself was boring, but its purpose was to revitalize Stark, which it did. Plus, it left things in a very interesting place with Extremis.
>Asscastle's domain got suspended
Fuck. Is there a mirror of the comic anywhere?
>>95055745
I can mega it for you if you'd like. I downloaded it years ago.
>>95055753
That would be great, thanks

Sucks that it's down. Fat chance it's not going to come back.
Also fuck you captcha, I picked your street signs 3 times.
I'm watching again for the first time in years and I honestly think it goes beyond anything Disney put in that same decade in terms of story, animation, and even music.

*An American Tail
the sequel is superior
Go to bed, Timbox.
Why has power creep been so severe in comics, to the point where the movie and TV incarnations of comic book characters will often have to tone down their power by several orders of magnitude to ground the action? It just seems dumb. Excessive power contradicts the basic premise of a lot of stories as well as key elements of some characters (like Captain America being "the peak of human potential", Wonder Woman having bracers to block bullets, and Flash's rogues being mostly regular humans with gimmicks).
Superman's original premise seems almost quaint today. Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound? "He can leap an eighth of a mile; hurdle a twenty-story building, raise tremendous weights, run faster than an express train, and nothing less than a bursting shell could penetrate his skin"? That would be considered a high-end Spider-Man villain in modern capeshit, not Superman's level. I like how lifting cars was worthy of all these "HOLY SHIT" faces back in the day, but now it's all retarded shit like "HE CAN JUGGLE FIFTY PLANETS WHILE FLYING BY OMNIVERSES AND DESTROYING THEM BECAUSE HE HAS ULTIMATE REALITY POWERS AND BEAT UP GOD THAT ONE TIME."
Superman already set the bar too high by having a truckload of powers. Power creep is worsened if the posterboy for superheroes everywhere is already pretty OP.
Superheroes are more interesting when they have some sort of gimmick. What's the Flash's power, he's fast. But then you have Speed Force power creep with the attosecond bullshit. It's dumb.
>>95055233
>Superman already set the bar too high by having a truckload of powers. Power creep is worsened if the posterboy for superheroes everywhere is already pretty OP.
Golden Age Superman wasn't that OP.
>>95055194
A Superman running around in today's world but who is limited to his original 1938 powerset would make for an interesting character, and in the right hands, interesting stories.
Is there any point in following Marvel anymore? Just been skim-reading Secret Empire as of late, now that Ultimates2 is over it seems like the company's overall output is utter fucking trash.
How does one deal with comic reading fatigue? Been reading comics for the past 12 years but I've never been as tempted to quit as I am now
>>95055046
just stop. the roller coaster only goes on for as long as you let it.
I am about the same OP, it's not just about the recent drop in quality, it's painful to get through a single issue sometimes.
I will stick with Thor no matter what because he is my favorite character & Fem Thor is among the better of the sjw character changes of late.
I will probably read Metal just because I really like how Snyder writes foreboding mystery.
Might stick with Wonder Woman.
Superman/Action Comics I want to stick with because Superman is great but fuck me, AC is insufferable with the fake Clark bullshit. And them basically erasing N52 Superman was a retarded dick move that was completely un fucking necessary.
But that is about it.
>>95055046
>Is there any point in following Marvel anymore?
Are you kidding?
EVERY COMIC IS AN EVENT NOW!
https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/09/01/every-story-event-marvel-legacy-trailer/
You want more events, right? Well here you go. Nothing but events!
Like that "lightsaber" stuff. You turn it on and it goes yea high. How does it know when to stop?
Why are we walking like this?
The Force contains it.
>>95054092
>something something electromagnetism.
alternatively,
>something something the Force.
So was it any good?
I thought it was good. I've seen some people criticize how the comics have become less focused on humor and more on drama. I like both aspects equally though and I enjoy the character exploration and development when Hanselmann is writing drama-oriented stories.
>>95053966
IIRC the pool bit was the only new content
Great mmo story but I expected something leading up to the "Xmas 2017"arc
It's cool to see Simon's art improve. He's obviously not the most artistically talented person in the industry and MMO is not exactly a difficult style, but he's come a long way from the literal school doodles that comprise his earliest pieces.
Post cartoons, comics, and orher /co/ related media that mad eyou tear up or feel, or is associated with an event in your life that mad you depressed

The frist Connie episode hit me real hard
>First cartoon I ever saw.
>First villain character I ever felt sorry for.
>Just wanted her to admit that she had done wrong so she could get better.
>We get to this episode.
>That slight pause before she says "alone."
>Feel hopeful.
>No, no why are you doing this?
>Why don't you just-
>And she's gone.
>Alone.
What is he doing there?
*fst fst*
>>95053812
What is it suposed to be?
I always did that as a kid whenever I saw that scene but had no idea why he did that.
>>95053757
>>95053837
No idea about the sound, but imo he was trying to break out.
Remember this show?
>>95053002
Had a bout of nostalgia and decided to watch some of it again. Still as cutesy and dark as I remember.
>>95053002
my favorite cartoon. one of them anyway. Really hate how everyone Forgot this existed.
>>95053031
>That episode where the talking toupee tries to talk Charlotte's teacher into murdering her, and he gets really close to doing it before changing his mind
I got interested in this after seeing a couple of threads on it last week, and decided to give this a go.
I was really enjoying it, but there's this really weird tonal shift like 2/3's into the first season, where the action goes from pretty cool and serious to extremely out of place slapstick/cartoony, with silly noises, bulging eyes, bodies getting flattened and etc, like some goofy Tom & Jerry violence instead of the actual battle damage and serious action sequences of earlier episodes.
Did something happened during production? Were they told to tone down the violence or something halfway through airing the show? And most importantly, does it get any better during Season 2?
>>95052533
Season 2 is where things get REALLY interesting and you see where Beast Wars fits in the main canon
>>95052573
Isn't it also where the you know what episode is?
>>95052573
But does the action/tone of the series reverts to its early season 1 levels or do they maintain the cartoony violence? It's pretty jarring to see these silly BOING-OING-OING moments after having watched episodes with great serious scenes like Dark Designs and Double Jeopardy.
>Comics are for idiots
>Cartoons are for children
How can we transcend this mainstream perspective of our medias?
Make them better written.
not being an ass is more important
Convince the majority of comic-readers to change their buying habits so that Fantagraphics and Drawn & Quarterly become the new Big Two.
Good luck with that.
iiieeee... NORBERT
