Snoopy Come Home was pretty good. Though I often felt that the whole Sherman Brothers musical interludes were too cheesy and didn't fit Peanuts very well.

It's... better than Iron Fist. All it made me me do was want more Daredevil and Luke Cage. Even more Jessica Jones would be good, but I'm not sure where you go with her now. Even most of their interactions with each other were nice.

The plot was just god awful; I seriously cannot believe it got put through. Everything that's been building up since DD season one is either still not explained or you wish it stayed a mystery.

-What the fuck was the Black Sky, and why was it so significant to The Hand? At the end of the day, it turned out to be Elektra, who merced Sigourney Weaver and then just continued her agenda anyway. The Black Sky was hyped up as this anti-Christ figure, but no dice here.

-Who was the mysterious Madam Gao? Just some immortal bitch who was homesick. There's no greater plan than that.

-What was in that hole the Hand was digging? Apparently some dragon bones to keep their immortality and resurrection gigs going. Also, a path to Kun L'un, I guess.

-The destruction of NYC is a byproduct of their digging; there's no real ideology or purpose for destroying the city. They just want them dragon bones. If this is an actual Hand prophecy, it's up there with Gulf oil spills.

-What exactly did Danny Rand contribute to this horseshit? He was The Chosen One, but Matt was the only guy that ever had a real handle on what was going on and how to deal with it. Danny also got kidnapped multiple times, and got tricked into punching a magic wall. Fuck him.

-Apparently, the writers in charge of Defenders never got any notes the Daredevil and Iron Fist writers had, so they were forced to make shit up to get this show out on time and under-budget. That makes sense, but man, what a missed opportunity.

Define God.

If we choose it to mean that it is any power which is both higher than humanity and sentient, then we must then ask about the nature of sentience and how we may prove its existence in others. Because self-consciousness is only observable in one's self, and can only be inferred in others, "God" is inherently unobserable. We could be standing right next to such a being and see only a natural object of immense power, and take all attempts at communication to us as just natural phenomena. The Sun could be a God, for example, and its various cycles and ejections could be communication, but we'd never consider it as such. To assume that "God", if it exists, would be comprehensible to its creations is the height of hubris. Humans are not comprehensible to dogs, nor any of our computers or constructs.

On the other hand, if you want to define God based on specific Holy Books, then you get wrapped into debates regarding inconsistencies of those Holy Books and misunderstand them as primary sources rather than secondary accounts of individual EXPERIENCES with 'God'. It's sort of like how Plato is a secondary account of Socrates. To doubt the existence of God, or Socrates, for that reason is suspect; but you are free to make that argument. Perhaps just as Socrates as Plato describes him never existed, so too might a 'God' as the Holy Books describe him not exist - but that once again brings up the impossibility of true knowledge about beings beyond yourself. You assume, infer, misunderstand, and fill in gaps.
