Rhodey was a Lt. Colonel before all this armored hero stuff, so he seemingly didn't take to Sam's reckless disregard for rank. Even if it was specifically towards Ross, who was a pretty big asshole regardless of his position or medals.

Rhodey considered himself Tony's babysitter until Iron Man, funny enough once Tony iron manned up Rhodey wanted the same kicks and simply stole it from Tony, betraying him and patching it up with a few shrugs. They're very near and dear to each other but it's a rocky relation.

With Sam he connected with Steve on relatively equal ground immediately, he was chosen as a trusted assistant instead of falling into it as a result of earlier errors, he's deathly loyal and has never betrayed Steve's trust.

Sam is also generally jovial, except Bucky but he did get hunted and harmed by him over the course of several very traumatic days, while Rhodey is usually stern and only up for jokes when it reflects well on him or at the expense of others.

It's like saying Steve and Bucky are the same character.

If you're ending this, it has to be big. I'd give 2 years for all of Marvel or DC to wrap up loose ends.

Personally, I thought that Earth X, and Secret Wars (2015) were great ways to end Marvel's continuity.

Marvel: Marvel is a last man standing situation. One by one, out heroes fall, or become retired.

DC: DC is a legacy situation. It shows how the heroes have helped humanity get to the point where it doesn't need them.
- Story starts with Batman's (Bruce Wayne's death. Drake becomes the new Batman, and tries to figure out what is going on.
- Hal Jordan and the other major Green Lanterns have taken over from the Guardians. Earth is of little importance to them.
- Wonder Woman has become a mother to two sons, (Ares, and Zeus) and teaches them to be loving, and only ever fight in self-defense.
-The Flashes have all become one with the Speedforce, and transport it away from Earth.
-New Gods finish their eternal battle, with Orion becoming ruler of Apocalypse, and New Genesis, but becoming trapped in his role.
-Superman sacrifices himself for the greater good, leaving Lex Luthor behind as his replacement, and mentor to his son.
-Once Superman leaves reality, all the superpowers disappear. It's up to humanity to work together to make their world a better place. The advanced technology is still around though, and Luthor uses it to make the Earth a Paradise.

I honestly only buy trades, new and old, but probably somewhere between $60-$80 a month. That's new in-store/online and discounted/pre-owned online. Yours is honestly pretty reasonable.

I buy around 5 omnis a year. 1 of those tends to be more expensive than the others like a Hickman FF or Morrison Doom Patrol.

If the average omni is 60 bucks, I spend 240 on 4 plus lets say 100-300 for the more expensive one, putting my omni costs at around 350-550.

Then I buy trades of what I may be following. This year Ive bought GA Rebirth 1 and 2, Aquaman 1 and Superman 1, which is around 60 bucks? So yeah, I spend over 400 bucks in comics a year.

I was excited to see that Ms.Marvel got a promotion. I loved her new costume. I was excited to read these new Captain Marvel runs.

Boy this was one of my biggest disappointments in comics.

Here's what needs to happen:

Of course, but it would actually take effort which is something that most people working at marvel right now are incapable of. Replacing Alonso and the rest of those terrible do nothing editors with a whole host of new competent editors would be a step in the right direction.

I think that it's too far gone. Everything they've done to the X-men because of muh movie rights, the lack of the fantastic four, all of the characters they've replaced - they can't just go back now.

It would honestly take a full universe reboot or the start of a new ultimate universe or something to save it.
