Only episodes I remember really well are the ones when Ivy fucked up Harley and turned him into Two Face and when Bruce went undercover in a Cool Hand Luke esque prison camp and I cried a bit when Bruce got put in a whole with one of the workers who cried about missing his family and Bruce goes full trauma and remembers his parents

It's good but there's quite a bit of referential stuff that gets you hype if you did read the old ones. For you it might be less hype.

Also, I have this... feeling, I guess? That we're not gonna see out our 24 issues or Deathblow/Zealot/WildC.A.T.S. miniseries. Ellis and JDH have already taken a 1 month break which I think is for artistic consistency and I approve, but - sales aren't great, it was fucking stupid to name the Deathblow mini Michael Cray, and Ellis doesn't have a good track record for stuff more than 6 or so issues in length.

Ellis is stupid, why aren't they doing a Gen13 series

When the ASM film series ended theres been a deep decline in gwen stacy fans,her world is pretty boring most of its characters are just half backed what ifs without depth or anything exiting,plus the relaunch after secret wars burned of a lot of the books momentum

So she lost a chunk of her short term fans from the films,her fans of the book due to it not really going anywhere and even die hards after it got another number 1

What? DC hasn't promoted Metal as some form of pseudo-political story that will "change the DC Universe forever". It's been labeled as a fun and over the top event about evil Batmen from alternate universes coming to invade and the League is there to stop them. Snyder says it's his culmination of Batman stuff, plus Morrison stuff thrown in, but for he most part it's nothing too ridiculous that all books have to tie in to this event. The most changes we'll get is a few new books with returning and new characters. Metal is just an event; just a good old fashioned event. Remember when those just happened, were fun and we moved on with a few changes that spiced up the universe instead of fucking it all up? That's what Metal is.

Honestly, METAL is Batman: Odyssey tear in my opinion. It' just too fucking weird for Batman and doesn't mesh well when they keep trying to make him down-to-earth too.

And it's hijacking Hawkman. This makes sense for Hawkman. He's the God-Emperor. A dark multiverse like makes sense in Hawkman's mythos and world. That's something on his level. But not on Batmen's. This just too pre-destination-y and mystical for Batmen. It cheapens his whole personality if he wasn't the Batmen by choice by some grand cosmic conspiracy...

It's still being worked on. Animation takes time, plus the artists making this are employed in other projects and making Long Gone Gulch in their spare time.
