Could be that but it also could be in part of not wanting to deal with the fan backlash. But honestly at this point, everyone has accepted that the comic is dead and I don't think many with be bashing Archies' email.

Normally when they cancel a book they swap out subscriptions with another, related ongoing title. Except at this point Archie is literally only putting out one book a month.

Maybe they're stalling so they can launch something and boost sub numbers by giving them the Sonic readers.

I'll preface this by saying I haven't seen the movie yet, I have my worries as someone who's kind of sick of the MCU but as a Spider-Man fan first and foremost I WANT it to end up being good.

That being said, about these eyes. I'm not against them or anything, it's fine, but I don't really see it as being an accuracy point...do Spider-Man's eyes move in the comics? Yes, but it's not because of any technological reason or canon purpose, it's just toon force shit....it's meta and done just to show emotion since Spider-Man wears a full face mask, technically Deadpool hit the nail on the head for "comic accuracy" when it comes to the concept of moving eyes if you take this into consideration more so than this Spider-Man, Spider-Man's mask in the comics was always just a piece of cloth

Maybe, what also killed it was that it didn't have a network to air until like a year or so later. We would have already have gotten a season 3 had kids WB not been canned.
