Since hurricane Irma is currently destroying everything in its path and is on a crash course to turn Florida into waterworld this sunday, let's have a thread discussing comics, cartoons and animated films that involved natural/man-made disasters to pass the time away.

Think of your favorite ground level super hero. None of that universe saving, flying through the stratosphere bullshit: just a guy who uses his fists and maybe some powers to stop crime.
Have you thought of one? Good.Your hero is now the newest member of the BPRD just as The Plague of Frogs kicks into full swing. Does your hero survive the coming war? How does your hero get along with the established characters?
>>95159411
Does quite all right. Hates every single second of it. Isn't even the first time he's been up against evil frogs.
>>95159411
High value asset, because of her undead nature she is immune to the plague and the frogs ignore her enabling her to get into frog nests and drop napalm/c4 with minimal casualties and loss of resources
>>95159411
Survive? Nigger, he would RUN the Bureau by the end of the war.

10 years ago today, Cartoon Network kicked off the "Fall" era. These bumpers replaced the CN City bumpers, the Master Control block replaced Miguzi, Fried Dynamite replaced Fridays, Toonami replaced the well-liked TOM 3 with the much hated TOM 4, also Out of Jimmy's Head premieres at this time being the first of CN's live-action sitcoms. Chowder and Flapjack also aired which I think really defined the style for future cartoons in the 2010s like Adventure Time.
According to some, this era was when Cartoon Network began declining even faster than it was in 2005-2006, but other people remember it fondly. What are your thoughts about this era?
>>95159394
Despite some really dumb decisions, I still liked 2008 cartoonnetwork more than 2005-2007 because flapjack and chowder made up for it and cartoonnetwork quickly got rid of the trash and went back to cartoons only again.

The Coachman has to be one of the most evil cartoon movie characters ever. He transforms seemingly hundreds of children into donkeys to be sold into slavery for the rest of their lives, and he completely gets away with it. Frollo is the only other character I can think of who's as bad, but nobody remembers the Coachman.
Who do you think is the most evil animated movie character ever? Not the coolest or most memorable, just the most evil.
>>95158283
Jordan Peterson's series on Pinocchio points this out very well. He really is the most evil character in the movie, and his look is made to inspire fear. Those big eyebrows, that wicked grin, all teeth. And that's to say nothing about his intentions. He is possibly the most evil Disney character of all time.
He's definitely in stiff competition against the Coachmen, but Ratigan was pretty awful too.
>his end game was to rule the mouse kingdom by proxy through a animatronic queen, and systematically fuck over as many mice/people as possible (presumably, to drag everyone else down to nigger/"r*t" status with him by forcing the middle/upper class to implode and eventually resort to crime just to survive)
>his villain song off-handedly mentions a caper where he drowned widows and orphans.. which begs the question of just HOW he happened to target that particular demographic unless he ended up straight-up drowning entire families in order from husbands, to wives, then children, seemingly for no other purpose but reputation
>>95158283
I only remember him because this scene scared the bloody hell out of me as a kid
>MASCULINITY IS BAD LMAO
Why is this becoming a popular statement in cartoons nowadays? First SU did this, then Gumball did it in the most egregious way.
Because Rebecca Sugar is a tumor and the sooner she happens to be at a Starbucks that gets shot up and robbed by one of her welfare pets the better off we'll all be

You're gonna need to be a little more detailled in your complain here, unless simply having not-dudes being better at punching things than dudes means giving the middle finder to masculinity in you eyes.

Joke's on you. I don't WHO to jack off to.
Hand-drawn cartoons feel depressing because they feel too human and remind me of how shallow and sad my entire existence is. I need that modern emotionless industrial feel in everything in my life from my food to my cartoons.

The world of the last cartoon you watched is now under the attack of The Decepticons. A full scale invasion of giant robots. Can the heroes stop them?
>Roger Rabbit
I'm just imagining the original but with The Decepticons Invasion as a eluive sideplot
I think the last one I saw was Star Wars Rebels. Well, considering how they were getting BTFO by Sentry Droids, I couldn't imagine them beating Decepticons.
I think he has a pretty good chance considering he pulled off a one hit on a giant robot.
Why don't they actually try to make reboots good?
>>95156967
They try to make something that bother appeals to the general audience AND old fans. But they just end up making a mess.
>>95156967
Anyone making a remake has already proven that they lack the creativity to capture something original.
If they cared about quality they'd make something original instead of rehashing something to pander to nostalgia.
