Seems strange for a board mostly comprised of images to have an image limit of 150
I wonder if there's been an increase in Jimmy Buffet searches since the game has dropped.
>>3123017
At least in the Margaritaville video there's lot of people wailing for Joseph.
This image unsettles me.
By the way, they updated the game, fixed some bugs and consistency error, and added a Robert minigame. You can actually achieve Amanda's bad end now.

I thought this was Shinji's dad for a sec
Hey guys, I know this is not the place of discussion, but because talking about this game in /v/ is near impossible, and this is information may interest you, I'll post this here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DreamDaddy/comments/6qhru5/major_discoveries_in_the_cult_ending_patch_files/#SaulFlair
In short, for those who don't feel like reading, new datamining after the update has revealed, not only that the cult ending is getting new content and stuff added, so it may be playable in the future, but more important, that Saul Graves, the cop at the end of the cult ending, is getting new poses.
That means is pretty probable Saul will become the eight daddy, unlocked after completing the DLC. The last place in the gallery will go to him.
>>3123265
If it's not the place for discussion, why's the image limit only 150? I'm sure discussion is fine./cm/ doesn't get much action though
>>3123265
He's cuter than Brian at least.

I thought this composition looked familiar...
Can we discuss the game here or is this strictly pictures.
>>3123887
I don't see why not the image limit is a little short but the post limit seems enough
>>3123887
pretty sure you can, just don't devolve into political arguments like the /y/ thread always does
>>3123887
Can't see why we couldn't. As long as we post some pictures, it will be fine.
What would you like to discuss? For example, which parent hold worst his liquor? I would say Damien.
>>3123965
Fuck, forgot the picture.
>>3124023
Mmm no his kids are far creppy and is not just their alcoholic mother, and in my personal experience you don't try a relationship with a married man, a divorced man maybe if it have passed enougth time but a married one that is not on an open relationship it's inecesary drama even if its just your fuck buddy
>>3124023
Too shady. I don't get a good feeling and I don't trust him. He was surprisingly well written, though. As for an expansion on his marriage as well as his weird relationship with Robert, we can only hope for a DLC I guess.
>>3124036
>kids are creepy
Idk about that, in his first date it's heavily implied that their just doing it for the creepy twin gag and both twins were having fun when you were egging them on it.
>you don't try a relationship with a married man
Well about that.. Joseph was the flirty one in the dates anyway, at least that's what it felt to me.
>>3124044
Why do I get the feeling both of you don't like him because of the
cult ending thing
>>3124045
>Why do I get the feeling both of you don't like him because of the cult ending
I never really took that ending seriously nor do I think it's supposed to be canon. Even disregarding it completely, Joseph still remains shady to me. Just that instead of a demon, he's just a manipulator and a serial cheater
>>3124023
Honestly, I'd be more into him if the cult end was canon. As is, I find his personality a bit dull and I'd rather date Mary.
>>3124064
Mary is my kind of weird/black humor I don't say I will date her because she is a married woman but I would totally hang out with her
>>3124064
Boy you have to give me the source right the fuck now.
>>3124076
http://crestomancer-art.tumblr.com/post/163662018915
>>3124023
Joseph is my favourite dad since the beggining, but his writing is kind of a mixed bag, but that makes him morally grey and the most interesting dad.
I don't think he is a master manipulator like >>3124055 said, nor is dickish and abusive like some parts of the fandom are trying to portrait him. But it feels like he likes to put on a facade, pretend that nothing is wrong, and avoid confrontation to a unhealthy point. In his bad ending, he recognizes he stays with Mary for the image for example.
And about the cheating, I don't think he's a serial cheater. But I'm sure he downplayed severely the scope of his relationship with Robert, and that there have been others before him. His interactions with the MC felt genuine though, in that instance I think he got scared of actually leaving Mary for good. Divorcing with 4 kids can be terrifying, specially is you're from a conservative upbringing.
The more difficult question is: Why Mary stays with Joseph, if she's clearly so unhappy?
>>3124079
>Fans now embrace Joseph as the power top he actually is.
Perfect.
>>3124126
>Has slept with MC, Robert and several men before them
>Not a serial cheater
How does that work?
>>3124126
They're religious. Divorce isn't really an option. Then again,
>>3124131
>Joseph sleeps with the MC
How so? Couple's sleep like with Craig or sex like with Robert?
>>3124135
He dumps you right after, dude. It's the latter.
>>3124135
Sex, anon. Didn't you play his route?
>>3124137
Nah. I didn't wanna be a homewrecker desu
>>3124138
He tells you he's totally going to leave his wife for you and after fucking you has an epiphany and decides to stick with her. Typical cheater bullshit.
>>3124131
I mean that the reason he cheats, more than the thrill and excitement of doing something wrong (in which case it wouldn't matter if he was happy with Mary, he would cheat anyway) it's because of the circustances. He feels lonely and unloved with Mary, so of course he will seek confort in the arms of others.
>>3124131
Not to defend Joseph, but it's only implied he sleep with Robert and the MC
>>3124143
When you are in that situation you talk with your partner and try to resolve the confict you don't go around saying you are a poor victim and sleep with other people, I mean wasn't he supposed to be a marriage counselor in the first place? He either is and hipocrite than only tries to save face while the rest of his world crumbles around him or he is an scared man to coward to make a move just to avoid conflic.
>>3124126
I don't really see him as a manipulator mastermind, just a petty cheater. Crying about his broken marriage then lying about divorcing his wife is nothing special and really just cheating married men 101. I like to believe that in his good ending he actually means it when he says he wants to fix his marriage, but I have a lot of doubt on wether or not he was honest with the MC on that yatch.
What raises most of his red flags to me is that he very likely lied about the nature of his relationship with Robert to the MC, or att least didn't told him the whole truth and the reasons I can think of for him doing that really don't help his cause.
It's just me or it seams like Joseph it's suposed to be in the closet but the writers just changed in the last second and instead they make him a cheater
>>3124148
You can be a cheater and be inside the closet, anon. Those aren't really mutually exclusive.
And no, I don't think so.
>>3124144
Wut.
He outright admits to sleeping with Robert and you wake up in his arms, naked.
>>3124146
He's a youth pastor, he has nothing to do with marriage counseling.
>don't go around saying you are a poor victim and sleep with other people
But he never tries to make himself pitiable or demonize Mary at any point, in fact, he defends her after she insults him in the baking sale, and dislikes it when you point out that Mary's response was way over the top for a typical marriage quarrel. He cares way to much about appareances i agree, but he's not playing the victim card at all.
>>3124147
We don't know if he lied about separating with Mary to get you in bed though, it seemed like he was really living in the yatch. Unless proven otherwise, he wasn't lying about leaving Mary for you. And about Robert, everyone tries to point him out as a proff that Joseph is an asshole, but is not like Robert is so nice either. He slept with Joseph while he was married, and he treats you like shit if you sleep with him after he proposes you, so there's a bit share of hypocrisy coming from him.
>>3124163
I may not be remembering correctly bud didn't he offer to counsel Quizzmaster Quinn and his wife?
>>3124154
Ok my bad I used the word impled wrong, what I was trying to write is that is only confirmend that Joseph had sex with two other people not not several as the post I replied states
>>3124163
I'm not defending Robert, being manipulated or not, it was shitty of him to sleep with his friend's husband, and even shittier to continue hanging out with her like nothing happened(assuming she doesn't know about that, and I really think she doesn't).
What I'm saying is: He said that what he had with Robert was a one night stand thing when many things in the game seem to point otherwise. That's bad for his cause because not only the reasons for him to lie about that all sound slimy as fuck, but it also puts him in a position of an unreliable narrator. Who knows what else he could be lying about, if he really isn't the honest man you initially think he is?
And I mean, I know we don't know. Many things about Joseph were left vague. These are all just theories and I could be wrong.
>>3124178
I agreed earlier with that point. He downplayed the relationship he had at some point with Robert, really hope some future content add more light.
And I hope that content adds more conflict to the rest of the dads. They're all cool, but I feel like Joseph/Mary/Robert, because of the drama surrounding them, have eclipsed them all, making them look less interesting in comparison. Conflict is after all the source of entertainment in media, and the rest of the routes are lacking in conflict.
They could add something like maybe Hugo's ex wants him back after you're dating him, Mat has the chance to work abroad with a band and has to leave for a long time, stuff like that.
>>3124178
>I really think she doesn't
She says that you don't seem Joseph's type so she either knows about him and Robert or there was another man/men she's aware of.
>>3124178
I think is more like a case of "I'm sorry I sleep with your husband but he broke my heart too... Can I buy you a drink?" And then she slapped him but accepted the drink and their frienship began
>>3124181
>there was another man/men she's aware of.
That's pretty much what I think, honestly
>>3124182
That theory is cute and I wish was the truth, but I find it unlikely. Despite also being partially to blame for her wrecked marriage, I really think Mary loves Joseph and wishes things could work out with him. Her reaction to suspecting that the MC is sleeping with Joseph is really heated and hurt, I don't think she'd be totally ok with Robert.
>>3124182
Hell, Mary might've even approached him. She's pretty protective of both him and Damien.
>>3124163
>>3124169

He does Min 29:17
>>3124184
I think she took a time to forgive Robert and she would probably forgive the MC too guven the time, saying that misery really loves company
>>3124191
Well anon, I really hope you are right. I really like their dynamic and friendship, and the perspective that Mary might not be aware that her buddie Robert was dicking her husband leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
>>3124193
I lost it, those tears and mocus with the sappy smile arevthe end of me
if you like robert and don't defend his actions or paint him as a poor sad victim who was blind to all of joseph's evil manipulation you are a fucking star
thank you for being rational
mary, joseph, and robert are all fucked up people who are toxic for each other and THAT IS THE POINT
Does anyone else think Joseph good ending would have been better if it have gone in the same line as Robert like "Sorry but I can't be with you because I have been traped in a noxios relationship for far to long and I need time to heal and take care of my kids because this is messing with them more than I'm willing to accept" instead of "sorry but fucking with you made me realize I still love my wife"

Joseph has an actually good ending confirmed by devs that is just not accessible at the moment, they are working on it
>>3124295
Link?
I'm really surprised since they just did that q&a where they talked about not wanting to reward busting up marriages. Wonder if they caved to fan pressure.
>>3124295
Wut. Are you talking about the cult? Because I've never heard of any other hidden ending with Joseph aside from that one, and the devs haven't even talk about it.
>>3124239
I think Robert was lied to by Joseph just like I think the MC was, judging by how he calls Joseph a backstabber, and "not who he seems to be". But yes, obviously he's not innocent, Joseph never put a gun to his head, and the fact that their affair probably lasted longer than one day should've given Robert time to think about what he was doing. It gets even worse if he was already friends with Mary back then.
>>3124295

I'M SORRY I HAD TO GO TO WORK
Anyway, no, it's not the cult ending. It's tied to Robert's route and the good old Walk Mary Home bug that keeps fucking things up is causing it to not trigger. I'll try to dig through the twitter for it when I have more time because I've heard someone else say the same thing.
>>3124361
>Walk Mary Home bug
Can someone elaborate on this?
I was able to walk mary home just fine, I think it has something to do with the order you go on dates.
>>3124362
It's possible to be able to do it but the thing is, it will trigger the event again and Mary will be angry, thereby retconning the walk home.
>>3124361
I'll wait, but I think you might have been fooled, anon. Leighton and Vernon literally confirmed not too long ago that there are no good ending with Joseph and that there is a reason for that. If there was a hidden ending that you couldn't get due to a bug, people probably would've found It through datamining already.
>>3124354
>muh poor innocent Robert and Mary!
>dat ebil ebil Joseph hurting my poor innocent babys who did nothing wrong!
>muh cult ending is cannon
Knowing the majority of the fandom thinks this way really hurts.
>>3124372
Dude, that strip literally had Mary coming home drunk and screaming, walking up her kids and calling them hellspawns. Calm down.
>>3124387
True. I wonder if he likes Nick Cave.
>>3124373
Yeah, but majority DOES think that way
>>3124395
So far I have seen more people justifying Joseph actions than defending Robert (and he is an asshole), and while I like moraly ambiguos characters that doesn't mean I would think they are dating material
>>3124373
Not that it really matters to the picture but if you follow their twitter those are all the author's side on things (including Joseph's kids being literal hellspawn).
I like this thread, it's pretty measured all things considered and nobody gets on anyone's case for liking/disliking a dad.
>>3124406
I see both honestly, it might be more unequal depending where you're looking. Tumblr tends to stay on Mary and Robert's side.
>>3124413
But why is Joseph worrying about keeping the act on the strip if both Robert and Mary are aware that he's a demon?
>>3124444
I usually just stay away from tumbrl discussions, I'm masochits that enjoy 4chan ones
>>3124446
