Episode Prompto in a few days!
Continuing from >>3108840
>mfw Prompto is literally XV's own Solid Snake

How is the series? Just learned about it today.

Technically he did, they just let it fall into hell for him to fix.
>tfw no Ravus Doomfist

It's an official pic, too. Looks like Noctis would've fought with the Kingsglaive if Insomnia hadn't fallen.
Square's new IP is really cute too. I doubt it will be explicitly FF related like Vagrant Story but the usual boxes are all ticked. Crystals, dragons, espers.
Bumppu
What is it? Mobile game? Handheld?
Saved a ton desu. Thank you anon.
Is it me or does Prompto get a bit fat again after the timeskip? Can't see it in his body because all the models are still the same from his 20 year old elf, but his face definitely got fatter and the underside of his chin, too.
Fat bastard. I bet that's what Tabata meant when he said Prompto likely wouldn't live much longer. He's gonna eat himself into an early grave the American way.

>best friend and emotional crutch skewered on his own throne
>welp, back to eating my depression away
It's not impossible. Both Prompto and Ignis were shown to be rather dependent on Noctis and he was the centerpiece of their lives. It's also why he ordered them to live on, restore Insomnia and so on. He made sure to give them something to live for.

>tfw according to the manga Noctis was so acutely aware of his mortality and how much things can go wrong that being able to make any solid plans for the future was a "miracle" for him
No wonder he was always so unwilling to join the guys when they got carried away imagining the future.

Meh, it did look like he gained some weight but certainly not enough to constitute calling him a fat bastard. He also looked like he got a bit more swole, and when guys put on muscle, even if they don't eat a lot of calories, their faces tend to get a bit chubbier for some reason. Although in that campfire scene, his face looks just as thin as it did when he was 20, so who knows. Pic related.

I think anon meant before he got skewered. Though I would have loved (read: hateloved) to see their reactions when they go into the throne room and there's Noctis all...yeah.

I wouldn't put too much stock in any of the anthology manga, as great as some of the strips are. It also portrays Noctis as a partypooper who's rude to "Noctobo" and threatens to eat it when the actual game shows he gets super gooey over animals, especially the black Chocobo chick you take to Wiz. And there's a strip that's entirely about the Chocofamily fandom cliche (Ignis and Gladio are the Team Mom and Dad respectively, while Noctis and Prompto are actual manchildren who can barely function without them; frequently the former two view it as an actual nuclear family, and are fucking, while their "children" are too) that's basically the FFXV equivalent of the MCU Superfamily. As in, cute and popular, but not well supported by canon, especially as time goes on, but able to grow and sustain itself largely off of fandom momentum, and injections of new canon info are shaped to fit its molds rather than the other way around.
The anthology manga is entirely fan-submitted. None of the staff actually wrote for them, whoever was in charge of it just gave the OK on comics they found well-drawn enough to compile it within the book. And going by the first example they weren't running very stringent checks on whether they had to be in-character or not as long as they were cute and well-drawn. I mean, I guess they'd have to or else none of the funny Ardyn entries would make it.

All true, but it's also a fact that the same thing is alluded in the canon material. It's no coincidence that in the game, his reaction to any future planning, be it negative or positive is "just focus on what is here and now". "One thing at a time" is pretty much his catchphrase.
