Im making a vegan curd and the recipe is calling for agar agar to be used. Can i skip this ingredient and just use less liquid instead? Maybe increase the amount of cornstarch?

Why do people ask this dumb fucking question? No, you cannot omit ingredients if you want the dish to turn out as intended. Is that really so hard to grasp?

>I substituted x with z
>I used double of y and halved w
>this recipe is awful
>one star

You dense faggot
Maybe the ingredient isn't available? Didn't that thougt cross your mind?
>>9280413
The ingredient clearly is available though, or you wouldn't be making the dish, right?

You can safely replace it with raw egg white, weight for weight.

>Hmm I dont have any clams, bet I can whip up a nice clam chowder though.
Right, I'm the dense faggot here. Stick to microwaving, retard.

He knows that, idiot, he was fucking with you. Critical thinking is clearly not your strong suit. In short, no you cannot substitute / omit ingredients and have a recipe turn out properly. Either acquire the necessary ingredients or make something else. Oh, and smarten the fuck up, if not for yourself than for those who have to endure your presence.

Nigger
>Hello I love your recipe, I'm vegan so I replaced the milk with water and the eggs with nothing but it didn't turn out very well, what did I do wrong?

Chia or flax seeds will thicken it up nicely. Chia especially will make it solidify, but both affect flavour and texture so be aware of that.
