Most normies, especially those in western first world countries are terrified of anything that isn't skinless chicken breast, steak and mince. It's also pretty hard to get, at least compared to the above.

I know people who won't eat any meat on the bone. I know people who won't eat any organ meats. I know people who will not eat any fish/shellfish. Given how many such people exist it isn't too surprising some folks might be turned off by a slimy creepy looking fish that isn't available at their local supermarket nor is served in any restaurant they know.

But fuck them. Eel is delicious.
