There's nothing better than Duck for New Year known for high fat, rich meat, and mild gaminess
recently roasted a duck
broiled it to get slightly crispy skin over the fat over the meat
i honestly dont think i'll ever eat chicken again : /

Is it that good?
My goal this year is to cook 100 birds and I'm definitely getting a duck - I can't wait to make my own

100 birds? Goddamn. You're gonna be so fucking sick of poultry by 2018.
...although this thread makes me wanna try to make duck. Did Cornish game hens for me and my cousin when he was living with me last year. Saw em on sale and bought them on a whim. Came out fantastic.

duck is damn tasty and the fat you can collect is worth it on its own. an old roommate used it for hash browns. i love breakfast potatoes and i've never had better.
Made duck last weekend, I'm ducked out. Cow meat this weekend. Haven't eaten beef in a month, it's a nice change of pace
Just got back from having an old school lobster dinner. Duck would have been another good choice, but it'd been awhile since I went to town on a whole lobster.
