Vegan here. Tried the beast burgers. Pretty gross. Field roast is way better.

Vegetarian alternatives to beef are always more expensive than the real deal. They will never be able to replace meat as long as they're a luxury item.

If you need to pretend you're eating meat to be a vegan, then you shouldn't be a vegan.

I haven't tried that stuff, but anything outside of Morningstar or Boca is too expensive for me anyway. I'm not even a vegetarian, I just really like the flavor and texture of them. They go great with bacon, too.

Actually looks pretty appetising, and I can buy the idea that getting people to eat fast food analogues that they're used to is easier than getting them to start cooking actual vegetarian food.
