Hey weebs of /ck/, have you tried any of the recipes in Shokugeki no Souma?
Post some pictures/outcomes/stories/etc.
Those recipes are insanely complicated, I think the only one I could do is the eggs over rice from the first or second episode.
>>7112340
Not really, I did my waifu's eggs Benedict. (Erina)
Shit tastes okay, those recipes get way too overhyped, but you expect that from the anime.
Someone posted the potato/bacon thing from the first episode last month. Looked pretty meh in real life (the anon did a pretty decent looking job).
Does that show ever get better? I dropped it after a few episodes when it became just another special battle high school anime.
>>7112350
>eggs bennedict
>bacon
>streaky bacon
Literally why?
>>7112366
If the anime is to be believed you will have an orgasm when you eat it.
>>7112329
cooking manga recipes will never be as good as expected (this carries over to anime adaptations as well)
>>7112329
>Shokugeki no Souma
There is something deeply disturbing about grown adults watching cartoons.
>>7112532
you're seriously gonna have to try with better bait than that
>>7112366
that's how she serves it anon
shes a elite chef in a top school in japan
>>7112329
<---------------------------/a/ is that way
FUCK OFF DISGUSTING WEAB
>>7112706
I like how you had to delete your original comment and forgot the first insult you used
>>7112329
Show's alright, but what the fuck is up with the umami?
Is a shitload of umami components really the ticket to mindblowing food?
>>7112710
Whats the premise of this show?
>>7112713
basically a rip off of yakitate japan/addicted to curry etc
>>7112713
Kid learns a shitload of average diner cooking from his dad, dad shuts their store down and sends him to MOST ELITE COOKING SCHOOL and he wants to be number 1 at the school.
Lots of pretty food, but it's pretty over-exaggerating most of the time.
>>7112708
I remember doing some recipes (pic related), and realized the chef directing this really loves bacon, /ck/ would really hate it.
pic is apple rissoto
>>7112730
FUCK OFF YOU DISGUSTING WEABOO
>>7112329
I've tried the potato bacon thing.
It was ok.
Nothing to write home about, bit too fat for my taste. Also it didn't taste like meatloaf ta all.
That show only has bacon dishes, is the chef American? Holy fuck.
>>7112735
How was it? I have the entire series and I'll get around to watching it this winter break, if the recipes are legit I might replicate their stuff.
>>7112329
I only watch Fighting Foodons
>>7112757
Decent, but as another anon said a lot, and I mean ALOT, of the recipes have bacon.
Pic related another one, it's supposed to be pork roast pls no bully.
>>7112770
I am ok with that, been meaning to try out the letterbox bacon for a while now and it's a good enough excuse. That does look like a pork roast, I'm not going to ask for more in case of spoilers haha.
>>7112760
My dude. That show was my shit when I was a kid.
>weebs
Fine by me.
>>7112877
that's a gook
>>7112891
They're all the same
>>7112532
>deeply disturbing
It's slightly odd at worst. Not to say that the anime in question is that great though.
The cooking theme in itself kept me hooked and helped me overlook typically embarrassing highschool anime tropes, but in it's heart it's the same shit.
I made this one. Turned out alright. No pictures, sorry.
>>7112710
>Show's alright, but what the fuck is up with the umami?
I think it's a NIPPON STRONK thing, since it was discovered by japanese science.
>>7113113
good job, I'll try it +1 anon
>>7113140
I've been looking for the others, if I find them, I'll post them here.
>>7113146
Thanks, I'll cook it over the holidays and post back here citing your DIY picture.
>>7113146
>>7113146
Oh, I happen to have quite a few of the recipe pages. Never actually tried them myself, though.
Got you covered anon.
>>7113916
>>7113921
>>7113928
And that's all I got of them. Not sure if there are more, haven't caught up on the manga in a while.
Kinou nani tabeta? is better.
It's a cook book crossed with a slice of life story about a middle aged gay couple.
>>7112521
I keep forgetting to make bread this way.
>>7112329
Just made Eizan's chicken rice.
Surprisingly delicious.
>>7114089
