We call this combo, or combination where I'm from and it's the most popular grouping of toppings. Even though I love trying new things, it's still probably my favourite . I should also mention that they use a spicy brown sauce as opposed to a red tomato based one. This sauce is so good people have tried to steal the recipie like some kind of cartoon. They also ship them out to for Mac, Edmonton, and I think even Afghanistan before. 80$ if your in Alberta and you want pc pizza.

The combo pizzas, with brown sauce and brothers pepperoni back home are the best in Canada and I'd honestly fight anyone who said otherwise.

If we're talking tomato sauce, the sauce should have a bit of tang to it so that your mouth waters when you take a bit and you taste more of everything. You should also pick a combination of toppings that has a good combination of textures.

Honestly everyone is trying to be complicated when flavor comes down to three things desu:
Spice
Poultry
Beef

With the three combined you can't go wrong

Raw onions; garlic; mushrooms.
Pungent and sharp; spicy/pungent/oily; and meaty/savory/earthy respectively.
Goes great on cheese that's mostly creamy but a bit tangy too.
