Is north korea invading?
I live in Korea (have a few years).
I like most Korean food, but bulgogi is just disgusting. Sugar and meat do not mix.
...but if you do for some reason want a cheap bulgogi burger they're less bad at McDonalds.

All over Japan and Southeast Asia too (maybe other places as well). Worst fast food chain in the world in my experience. Everything is overpriced, service is always horribly slow, fries are stone-cold half the time. The only half-decent thing they do are the spicy chicken burgers, but even those aren't that good.
Also they've never heard of sugar-free soda.

Mcdonalds knock-off?

That looks p good
Here's hoping I get stationed in Korea

If you do, don't ever try the pizza.

this so much

Why is foreign pizza so bad? Sometimes it's decent, but it's not really pizza. Brazilian pizza is some kind of floppy cheese and bread thing you squirt ketchup on, roll up, and eat.

Wha?
Pizza is fucking great in Korea. The only food this country does really well besides fried chicken.

>but it's not really pizza
exactly.

...example: two nights ago I bought a take-out pizza for 10k won (about $10) and it filled me up for two nights straight. It was 'pumpkin' pizza, heaping with squash, raisins, nuts, corn, onion, cheese... probably other stuff I'm forgetting. Plus the crust had seeds in it. Amazing for the price.
Other cheap favourites of mine from neighbourhood pizza places (under $10 for a big pizza): carbone pizza (pic related), spicy chicken pizza (SPICY!), bulgogi pizza, BBQ steak pizza... I think was most westeners don't like is that they ALWAYS put corn on pizza, but I really like that. Plus they can't make a good bog-standard pepperoni pizza (they don't have proper pepperoni), but the solution is to avoid anything too 'normal' and go for the wacky stuff which is universally good in my experience.
Mr. Pizza (a cheap common Korean pizza chain) has pretty great 'green tea' crust full of all sorts of shit. Used to get the (iirc) BBQ chicken pizza there a lot it was great.
Pizza Hut in Korea is just mind-blowing. I never get it myself since it's so crazy expensive, but it's just so over-the-top, just google image search "korean pizza" and have your mind blown.
This is now a Korean pizza thread.
Potatoes (various varieties + sweet) are staple pizza toppings in Korea. Again, something most foreigners decide to hate before they try it.

Exactly. I've been on a business trip in Korea and ordered some pizza, and to be honest, was kind of put off by the fact that they put potatoes in pizza.
Now I'm sitting here in America crying over the fact that none of the pizza chains or stores put potatoes as a topping choice.
Seriously, fuck shitty k-pop. If Korea has one cultural export worth a damn it's pizza.

I think I found a Mr. pizza flyer on my windshield recently. I was intrigued by the different crusts, especially the egg tart and broccoli mousse.
I ain't paying $20 for some weird little egg pizza, though. Give me that Little Caesar's deep dish.
