Do you drink your tea from a cup or a mug?
>>8956682
a cup since mugs are banned here in the uk.
>don't be a thug, turn in that mug
>>8956694
what does your teacup look like?
what shape is it?
what color?
>>8956716
>what does my personal tea cup look like?
i had to give mine to my new immigrant neighbors. they're from pakistan.
but our tea cups in general tend to be fancier than your standard yank tea cup.

I have trouble tasting the difference between the higher quality bourbon and the stuff you get in a plastic bottle for ~$15.
Is there something wrong with me or is there little to no difference between high quality and low quality bourbon?
Also bourbon general
>>8956481
Most bourbon is all mass produced in 'Murika nowdays. Don't buy into the marketing hype.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/07/28/your-craft-whiskey-is-probably-from-a-factory-distillery-in-indiana
Depending on what you buy, the plastic bottle stuff can be decent. For craft shit or new brands, you need to do your research.
Taste wise I'd expect you would be able to tell a high-rye bourbon from typical bourbon. If you typically drink something like Old Grand-dad then it would be similar.
cheap bourbon drinker here.
imo it's worth upgrading from benchmark to evan williams 1783. the price difference is just a few bucks and it's a noticeable difference on smoothness and taste. beyond that the returns are highly diminishing.

>just throw away the broccoli stalks after trimming them
>tfw I throw away the stalks
A-am I doing it wrong?
>>8958135
cook 'em you fag, they're tasty
>>8958135
Put them aside and boil or steam them later, add some salt for a great snack. Throwing them away is akin to cutting a lemon in half for use in a recipe then just tossing the other half. It's still a perfectly fucking good lemon, use it in some tea or something.
I know many people like gyoza or dumpling like in this pic because they have thing, noodle like skins, but I atually like the thick chewy version of dumplings.
What say you?
Best dumplings I ever had were Mandu bigger than my fucking fist in a little shop in Seoul. They gave you scissors to cut the bastards in half because otherwise you couldnt pick them up
>>8955887
what the fuck is up with South Koreans and scissors. I swear, I've eaten so many noodle soups at Korean restaurants where they give you metal scissors to cut a bundle of noodles in half just so you can eat them. Why not just make small noodles?

blind article, (possibly sourced, details are in the works) coming out next week names two of food network's top stars speaking out and threatening to leave the channel if they move forward with a cooking show featuring and detailing the life of a transgender host.
>>8955813
who is the tranny in question?
>>8955819
Alton Brown is my guess
Good.
It's the fucking food network, not Lifetime.
Is milk healthy?
It increases blood sugar which is a huge no. I drink ~1 litre of milk/day if not more, often to in place of honeyed tea and water.
I fear becoming diabetic but every fucking thing around me uses some form of sugar. I just can't escape sugar.
No, it's not.
there's no need to worry about lactose. just avoid fructose.
Milk is very calorie dense, but it's otherwise fine and perfectly healthy to drink.
What foods make the worst farts?
I think mcdonalds breakfast sandwiches and hashbrowns combinations are probably some of the rankest, loudest toots of them all.

I love white castle but can only eat it when I don't have to leave the house for the rest of the day or the next day.
They seem like such a good idea on paper
Actually it's the other way around, they sound disgusting conceptually but are actually good if you try them
>>8954294
You have different tastes than I, and I don't like it.
>>8954275
chicarone are better fresh. stuff you buy in a jar or bag will be full of added salt and nitrates, and will still taste stale regardless
>started eating six prunes a day
>started eating a bowl of shredded wheat a day

low carb diets can fuck right off
>>8953885
High fibre is awesome. Pea and ham soup, lentil soup, cabbage and bacon, lamb and barley soup, cock-a-leekie, porridge, Irish stew, wholemeal bread. Combine with oily fish (sardines, herring, smoked salmon, kippers, smoked oysters or mussels) for omegas and you can't go wrong.
All these stupid modern diets pale in comparison to eating the traditional diets that kept our forebears at a natural, normal weight for their entire lives.
Prunes cause cancer
>>8953885
I like dates better than prunes
Thoughts on Long John Silvers? To my knowledge, it's the most common place to get seafood to exist. And they have Hush Puppies, which are a delicacy
trash/10
>>8952684
Arthur Teachers is infinitely superior.
The hush puppies are so good, the fish is real good the chicken is even tasty.
it's kinda greasy as fuck but still great for fast food
Say that everything listed here was made from scratch.
Overpriced or not overpriced?
>>8956121
Paying other people to cook for you is always going to be expensive compared to the cost of items at a grocer and self preparation at home.
>>8956121
Considering payroll and all that, not really. It's not just the price of the ingredients...it's the fact that somebody is paid to make it and another person is paid to serve it.
Seems reasonable.
Burger and onion rings fair, everything else should be $1 less.
This is my favorite cereal, can you anons tell me what your preferred and hated serials are?
Best: maple mini wheats
Worst: blueberry mini wheats
Extra the worst: oops all berries
I love fibery cereals, recently been on a Kashi go-lean kick.

Hey /ck/,
Recommended curry roux brands? I've only tried golden brand. Google has some good results but what do you guys eat?
>>8959900
I like Torokeru. It's actually got some extra flavours in it. Golden Curry is basically just the roux, curry powder and salt.
>>8959935
Thanks, thinking about ordering a bunch of different brands. Ill give this one a try!
I've only had Golden Curry and Vermont Curry. I prefer Vermont.
Does /ck/ ever find potatoes that have crystals growing inside? I only ever see it on russets. Apparently its caused by a virus.
