So looks like I'm in the path to get clobbered by Irma. Stores are already running out of water and other essentials!
So here's my food supply I've gathered. I've tried to strike a good balance flavor, nutrition, and variety wise.
Ought to be enough for me to be quite comfortable for 7-10 days, but could push a lot longer if needed.
Thoughts/opinions/suggestions? Still have a few more days!

Nice!
Not pictured in mine are my normal pantry items (various canned tomato products, the usual oils/spices/sauces/etc, potatoes and garlic and onions).
Also have 10 gallons water (just bottled tap water) as well as 2x 24 packs of 500mL bottles.
For food prep a single burner gas stove that runs on canisters, very handy!
And of course my liquor cabinet heh.
Are you kidding me!? I ordered $13 of food and and it comes to $25 with the tip!? Are they just adding random costs because people will pay it?

Thank you for your inane bullshit.
Do pickles belong on a burger or do they overpower all of it?
>>9398725
Yet another fast food thread.
That is a sad, sad photo
1. Yes
2. No, a few pickle slices add just enough acidity to bring the other flavors up.
3. Post a picture of a real burger next time.
Hey all,
Me and my girlfriend just had our 6th anniversary last night and she hinted she wanted to go out for Mexican food. So we decided to go to a Taco Bell restaurant. I don't really remember what we had anymore, but all during the 2 hour drive back we were pondering if the names/content of the food there are based in reality or made up by the restaurant.
I've heard of tacos, burritos and stuff but they had bakearitos bajatacatos and more crazy ass Mexican words no pure blooded male should know how to say.
Is all those things they serve actually based off real Mexican dish names or did the restaurant corporate chefs make it up?

Not sure what the point of this thread was, if it's bait it doesn't even have a punchline
Ignore the trollers here, 4chan is pretty much a toxic cesspool now.
To answer your question, Yes it was made up by marketing professionals. Its not much of a Mexican place to begin with.
why do ethnic people love rice + beans + meat (usually chicken)?
Cheap food

And good for you. Did you know rice and beans make a complete protein?

I just bought cottage cheese for the first time and took a bite.
This shit is foul. What the fuck am I supposed to eat this with to make it less gross? The box said "great with pineapple chunks" but I dunno.
>>9398349
I haven't ever bought it. Absolutely pig disgusting.
Canned peaches if you have any
>>9398349
I don't really buy it often, but I've had it with strawberries/peaches and it was okay. Like a little bit on the side with some waffles for breakfast. I think it's kind of tasteless.
>that smell you smell when you get home and your stock has finished simmering

Also other favorite moments of cooking you lads would like to share.
Pulling a perfect cheesecake out of the oven. No cracks
Biting into freshly baked bread. The smell of bread rising.
Finally eating the rabbit that was marinated and baked for hours
unwrapping the first mcchicken of the day

Nice. Hot bread where the crust is crunchy and the bread is soft is the tits senpai.
I've been growing cucumbers for about a month now. What am I doing wrong?
>>9397890
You really put the "u" in cucumber huh
>>9397890
Nothing, that cucumber is fine.
The reason you only see perfectly straight ones in the supermarket is because they don't put the crooked ones out for individual sale. Walmart doesn't want people thinking they're buying "defective" produce.
>>9397890
looks like you aren't watering 'em enough, anon.
had munchies for them & i didnt have enough flour for a good amount of dough i just basically made a grilled cheese where instead of a slice of cheese it is a dollop of homemade curry between two slices of bread. it tasted almost the same except it wasn't deep fried and had a diff texture.
ive definitely committed a act against god but it was suprisingly good.

My mom would never buy dip when I was a kid and we got a bag of chips.
"Anon, the flavor is on the chip already".
I've been posting photos of what I eat on Instagram for a few weeks because I'm a massive gay, but have started to enjoy it and it's prompting me to improve how I eat and cook and up my plating skills which were basically non existent before
Has anyone else tried food photography or post their stuff on instagram, at any level?

Brown's the savory, white's the treat
Is Worcestershire Sauce the Soy Sauce of white people? I use it now on most things in place of salt
And is Lea and Perrins objectively the best?

Are these actually good? They always sound delicious but as soon as I eat one or two I feel fucking sick.
You're probably better off just eating good butter.
cookie crunch superior reeses
>>9396534
Why are you asking if they are good or not if you have had them? I don't understand your thinking. Do you need others to form your opinion for you so that you don't go against the crowd? I like them but only frozen and only one cup and maybe like twice a year.
