In principle, yeah, it's delicious, but fishnchip shops themselves are often awful. Most of them offer no sustainably caught fish at all, and refuse to have anything besides cod as the mainstay because that's all people know.
Even on the coast, it's not easy to find fishnchip shops that serve anything caught locally.

If you go to a Turkish/Middle Eastern fast food restaurant in Australia, they often have something called a snack pack, which is literally fried chips with several pounds of halal beef or chicken on top, and copious amounts of garlic or chili or tomato or bbq sauce. The pizza at these places is literally 6cm of thick dough with 3cm of doner kebab meat and sometimes chicken on top of cheese. You can feel it clogging your arteries as you eat it, and the sshits you get are monstrous. But it's the best fatfuck food.

Used to work at KFC as the fry cook, once had a shift with this dude antonio, this dude was a fucking retard, one time I was putting some trashbags in the dumpster and this guy was supposed to be bringing up any chicken that had finished or whatever, anyway, as I'm chucking the trashbags in the dumpster I hear one of the fryers beeping and I assume this guy is gonna take the chicken out of the fryer, I finish up what I was doing and go back to the fryer is still beeping and he's just standing there staring at it like a retard, I said what the fuck man, why haven't you taken the chicken, he just stares at me, doesn't even go to open the fryer so eventually I just did it, he did this shit multiple times that night.
Another time to avoid actually doing anything he brought in one of the bins from outside and started cleaning it (which is the front staffs job anyway), he did this for the rest of the time he was there, he left about halfway through the shift without a word.
I fucking hated that guy, surprised he didn't get fired, I even brought it up with one of the managers and the stupid whore accused me of "being a bully" after I told her that shit.

I browse nearly all boards except for the anime ones and im really starting to think that this ones is the worst one. Not because the board is about cooking as it is something i really love, creativity in general, but the quality of threads and posts are the very lowest compared to any other board i watch.
About 90 % of the threads are about fast food, like wtf? You aren’t even cooking that? No threads about general region specific cooking or cool recipes / techniques, its all just ‘’what kind of canned soup is best and why is it this lol’’.
Most of the other boards have several serious thread going on all the time (i know every single board has shit posts all the time) but i can scroll the front page on this one and see only shitty fast food threads… Is it because only americans post here? Really sad as food is so essential in human life. Big potential for a great board but nooooooo me like burgerz.

What advice could you possibly need? Put your stock ingredients in it. Add water. Run as long as needed depending on the specific type of stock you're trying to make.
Since it won't maintain a rolling boil then it's obviously useless for making tonkotsu ramen broth. Otherwise it should be OK.
