Hello /ck/ I graduated top of my class from one of the most prestigious culinary colleges in the US.
Straight out of school I got work in a michelin starred restaurant in NY, I moved up from Gardemanger to Entremetier in those 2 years. I was well respected even by the head chef of the restaurant.
But I left the restaurant life because I got disillusioned with the restaurant world. It is nothing like what you see in TV.
I am currently unemployed and planning to kill myself in the up coming months once I gather enough courage. Ask me anything before I decide it's my time to 'go'.

How do you make your pancakes?
What topping do you use - if any?
Please share.
In a waffle iron
>>9010478
I buy frozen pancakes, microwave them, top with butter and maple syrup. I'll use blackberry jam if there's no syrup.
>>9010478
Make a big bowl of pancake batter and just dump it into a deep fryer.
Why isn't there an egg that has equal amounts of yolk across the entire white?
scrambled
>>9009735
Because the White of the egg supports the yolk.
It wouldn't do much good if the yolk were the same size as the albumen offering no protection.
can we genetically engineer chickens to lay pre-scrambled eggs?
>What kind of seeds do you eat?

I'm tired of these OBSESSED Americans making a mockery of our superior culture.
Let's show them we can make more than just fish & chips, mates!
I'll start.

you don't even have pride within your own country
Heya, /ck/.
I'm going to London (and Stratford upon Avon) for work. The way the flights worked out, I have a few days to see London and eat some food, before having to move on or have restaurants chosen for me.
I'd like to have British food while there, because we have a lot of the Zuma/Nobu/Milos/trendy fish places back home. I like fine dining, so I'm okay with spending.
Some places the hotel recommended for British traditional:
Berners Tavern
Rules (rules.co.uk)
Also some French suggestions were:
Greenhouse
La Gavroche
The Ledbury
Any thoughts on these, locals?
Also what about lunch? Someone recommended The Market Tavern which is near my hotel/Hyde Park.
>>9008210
La gav is excellent
Rules is lovely and terribly british
The Dorchester is great, i used to work at the grill there
But seriously get a table at The Ned, it is fucking ridiculously varied and there is nothing like it on the planet
>>9008270
Thank you!
The Ned is a restaurant within the hotel The Ned? Or you just mean try some places in there?
I'll try The Gav and Rules, thank you!
Any recommendations for lunch? I'm staying the Four Seasons Park Lane. Any comfy British Pubs around there?
>>9008270
>rules.co.uk
Also when it comes to British food, what should I try?
I'm a tiny grill so sometimes really heavy stuff like traditional swabian german food I can't manage to eat much of and it just overwhelms me
Stop eating pork.

Made me sick to my stomach and was a lame sit down and listen to music for a couple hours high. Ofc, I actually did get high which is more than expected.

I was taking it daily for awhile, but it started irritating my stomach. Now I take it once or twice a week. Love the stuff.
