Is this literally the only food that can be made in a microwave thats as good as any other possible way?
>>9023021
Microwave ovens suck. Never use one.
>>9023021
Nope. Microwave quesadillas suck compared to making them in a pan or on a griddle:
1) you don't get the crisp texture on the tortilla
2) you don't get the flavor from the butter (or other fat) you'd cook them in.
What the microwave can do a very good job at is steaming. In fact, it comes out even better than steaming over a pot of boiling water because there is far less liquid involved that could dilute the flavor.

if you like mushy tortillas
Does anyone else feel bad when they use lemons in a recipe. You have this huge fruit, sometimes the size of your hand, but you squeeze it and barely end up with a tablespoon of juice if you're lucky, and you end up throwing the rest away. If it's an organic lemon you can maybe get some zest out of the rind, but it feels like such a waste.
Anyone else feel the same? How can we squeeze more usage out of this plucky lip-puckering plumage?
lol what kind of pansy wont zest if the lemon isn't organic. Fuck off mate.
>>9022612
>Does anyone else feel bad when they use lemons in a recipe.
Not at all. I grow my own lemons, and the waste/left-overs goes straight into a compost tumbler.
>>9022628
It's more so that I keep hearing people using pesticides and poisons on fruits to keep the pests out. I don't want to use zest if there's a risk of that getting in the food.
>>9022630
Oh yeah, I forgot how good rinds can be for compost. I still wish I could squeeze more life out of a lemon, but hey, small steps.
Ask your delivery driver anything.
Why don't you have a real job? Where did it all go wrong?
>>9022487
It all started with one innocent puff of marijuana.
Do you do liver?

whip out those trusty bacon scissors

Don't fuck it up
what's the EVOO for?
Why linguine instead of spaghetti?
Why no pancetta?
Why do hawaiians eat so much spam?

Legacy that most island natives do and did from the hurricane pantry supply and other rations of imported foods. Recipes that utilize sweetened condensed milk and other nonperishable canned foods are popular too.
Jamaica has their carrot punch with canned milk, nutmeg and carrots. Tres leches, key lime pie, all that salt cod stuff. Some people find it nostalgic, sometimes they're just using up their hurricane supplies. That stuff you bought to stay alive through 3-4 weeks post storm without electricity.
>>9022128
This is also the same reason why it's a signature dish in Okinawa. It was one of the most widely-available foods on the island for a while, so it just stayed that way
I bought this from a Japanese supermarket on a whim, I thought it would be mesh on both sides for grilling on an open flame.
The bottom is a tray, but has slits. Can someone please explain?
The bottom/Japanese instructions for reference
>>9022082
I can read Japanese, but the text is a little hard to read, I'm fairly certain, though, that it says to shove it up your ass.
It's a Fish Grill for stove-top grilling.
Guys my electrical kettle makes a loud noise. How do I make it quiet? It's Ramadan and I don't fast but I don't want my roommate to know.
Plebbit told me to descale it with apple vinegar but now it's worse.
>>9021970
>pic related
looks like this
Is your roommate a terrorist too? Otherwise why would it matter if he knew?
>>9021984
He'll tell. Suddenly will be an outcast.
I live in a Muslim country where you can't even find one open business in day time.
I tried making burgers in a frying pan tonight. They had been frozen and I had left them in the fridge for a day or two to thaw. I put in butter and turned the heat up all the way to preheat the pan for five minutes, then left the burgers on for 3 minutes or so each side. The sides got burnt black and the interiors were raw.
How the fuck do I make burgers without both giving myself burnt shit and food poisoning at the same time??
Turn the heat down and wait, fucking moron
should have pulled them out of the fridge and let them rest for a bit before
>>9021932
Don't use butter on a super hot oven, use oil. Butter is medium heat otherwise you'll just get burnt butter, and not in a nice beurre noisette way.
Ramsay's Kitchen Daydreams
GR travels around visiting nice local restaurants that are doing well financially, shoots the shit with the chefs, geeks out over good food, shares his knowledge and ideas for recipes, decor, marketing and shit. Plays friendly pranks and has silly competitions with the chefs. Does the excited little girl bounce at least twice an episode.
Would ya watch it /ck/?
>>9021847
yes
Sounds comfy.
Change the name, though.
I think it would be neat.
There was a show with him where he was learning some recipes around the world. I only watched one episode where I think he was cooking for some royal family or something in south east asia but it was pretty good.
I think his documentary on shark fin was good too.
I never watched his other shows other than the memes online
So I was given a bottle of this and it's not really my style - kinda lame. It's almost like ranch how creamy, fatty, and bland it is
What should I add to it to make it worthwhile? I was thinking maybe vinegar to make it zingy or cayenne/siracha to make it hotter. Can I bake it into something?
squeeze a little onto dark chocolate and eat, trust me
>>9021727
Are you fucking with me?
>>9021724
I think mix into stuff you like to zing it up.
Okay /ck/ - Post your local street food.

How many of you fatties has to have dessert with every meal?
>>9021370
>artisan whoopie pies
What a time to be alive
/fit/ here, you should never have dessert even everyday. Just special occasions. Empty carbs like sweets and soda are the main reason people pack on the pounds
>>9021730
old/fit/ here, you're actually thinking of sugar. Have you even read the fucking /fit/ sticky? Get out.
Is qdoba underrated? I just found them recently and I may never go back to moe's or chipotle again.
>>9021351
They're still better than Chipotle, but I liked them before the rebranding. None of their specialty tacos are any good.
They deserve more business simply from the fact that treat guacamole as something standard instead of something worth paying an extra 2 bucks for.
>>9021351
I used to work there during college. Pretty good food, and it was just plain enough I never got tired of it.
>>9021351
It's great. Def underrated.
[spoiler] That said one night I ate it and then got piss drunk and threw it up all that night. Now I can't eat there ever again because I have a Nam flash back every time I walk in there.
Ketchup on eggs, yes or no?
>>9021069
