Nope. Microwave quesadillas suck compared to making them in a pan or on a griddle:
1) you don't get the crisp texture on the tortilla
2) you don't get the flavor from the butter (or other fat) you'd cook them in.

What the microwave can do a very good job at is steaming. In fact, it comes out even better than steaming over a pot of boiling water because there is far less liquid involved that could dilute the flavor.

Does anyone else feel bad when they use lemons in a recipe. You have this huge fruit, sometimes the size of your hand, but you squeeze it and barely end up with a tablespoon of juice if you're lucky, and you end up throwing the rest away. If it's an organic lemon you can maybe get some zest out of the rind, but it feels like such a waste.

Anyone else feel the same? How can we squeeze more usage out of this plucky lip-puckering plumage?

It's more so that I keep hearing people using pesticides and poisons on fruits to keep the pests out. I don't want to use zest if there's a risk of that getting in the food.

Legacy that most island natives do and did from the hurricane pantry supply and other rations of imported foods. Recipes that utilize sweetened condensed milk and other nonperishable canned foods are popular too.

Jamaica has their carrot punch with canned milk, nutmeg and carrots. Tres leches, key lime pie, all that salt cod stuff. Some people find it nostalgic, sometimes they're just using up their hurricane supplies. That stuff you bought to stay alive through 3-4 weeks post storm without electricity.

I bought this from a Japanese supermarket on a whim, I thought it would be mesh on both sides for grilling on an open flame.

The bottom is a tray, but has slits. Can someone please explain?

I tried making burgers in a frying pan tonight. They had been frozen and I had left them in the fridge for a day or two to thaw. I put in butter and turned the heat up all the way to preheat the pan for five minutes, then left the burgers on for 3 minutes or so each side. The sides got burnt black and the interiors were raw.

How the fuck do I make burgers without both giving myself burnt shit and food poisoning at the same time??

Don't use butter on a super hot oven, use oil. Butter is medium heat otherwise you'll just get burnt butter, and not in a nice beurre noisette way.

There was a show with him where he was learning some recipes around the world. I only watched one episode where I think he was cooking for some royal family or something in south east asia but it was pretty good.
I think his documentary on shark fin was good too.

I never watched his other shows other than the memes online

So I was given a bottle of this and it's not really my style - kinda lame. It's almost like ranch how creamy, fatty, and bland it is
What should I add to it to make it worthwhile? I was thinking maybe vinegar to make it zingy or cayenne/siracha to make it hotter. Can I bake it into something?

They're still better than Chipotle, but I liked them before the rebranding. None of their specialty tacos are any good.
