Do amerifat fast food chains lie on nutritional charts?
pic related, A&W Bacon Double Cheese burger. 2 patties, lots of cheese, but they say it only has 650 calories. How is that possible?

Calories is generally accepted as short for kilocalories in America.

Can I have you guys' contact information? I've got some oceanfront property in Idaho that I'd like to sell you.
I figure if you're dumb enough to pay $3 for $0.03 worth of caffeine, and give it a silly name, then you'd be dumb enough to buy my property too.

How many cases of monster are you willing to throw in?

I am a simple European man who would like some help. I've always wanted to try Deep-dish Pizza, but due to my budget, I cant afford to travel to get a taste of this magnificent creation.
Would you kindly give me some recipes for Deep-dish Pizza?
>>9053696
Correcting my ignorance: Chicago is the state that's known for Deep-dish Pizza. My bad.
>>9053713
CORRECTING MY IGNORANCE ONCE AGAIN:
CHICAGO IS A CITY, NOT A STATE AND I AM A FUCKING IDIOT.
>>9053696
The kind of people that like deep dish will not be capable of cooking anything and the type of people who cook would never make deep dish, so you're out of luck.
Just bought a new cheap miligram digital scale. Give me some good secret/mixed spice recipes.
>>9053673
A scale is pointless for spice blends because the potency of spices varies so much.
A recipe might tell you to add a certain amount of spice but it would be pointless to blindly follow it. Taste the spice and adjust accordingly. If your spices are very fresh and potent you probably need less than the recipe states. If your spices are flavorless old shit from McCormick or they've been sitting in your kitchen for years then you would probably need to add more.
Not to mention there's your own personal preference to account for.
>>9053687
I know. I just thought maybe some members would like to share their marinade spice mixes or something. I want to try new things and at least some people here seem to have good taste
Favorite store bought salsa? this is my personal favorite
Almost, anon
>>9053457
Can never find one that isn't vinagary. Used to sell one that was great, but after I left the company they changed the formula. It was based on a recipe from the 1920's.
salsa is so easy to make. blend a few (vegetables) together. why would you buy it premade?
Hey Cu/ck/s
Long time bbq fan here, yesterday my butcher gave me a skirt steak along with 2 tbones. I've never done skirt before, so I figured I'd come here and get some of anons infinite wisdom.
How does CK do their skirt steaks.
Things available to me are: cast iron pans, charcoal bbq (cast iron grills) and wood fired bbq.
I've read a few things that essentially said "lol just get it REALLY HOT"
Seems like there must be more to it than that?

>every recipe from Cook's Illustrated, Bon Appetit, or any other upmarket cooking magazine requires food processor, high power blender, dutch oven, cast iron skillet, electronic "quick read" thermometer, and/or food dehydrator
They do this because they're being paid by appliance and cookware companies to frustrate home cooks so that they'd buy all these things, right?
>>9052744
i have never seen a recipe that required a dehydrator. foodprocessor and some sort of blender are things everyone owns that cooks regulary.
Cast iron =replace with= any pan thats not coated
dutch oven=replace with= any large pot
thermometer is like 30 bucks and the best kitchenequipment out there, but its not like you need it.
I dont even think they get paid for naming those things in recipes, unless its branded, its more jumping onto the bandwagon of every retard watching masterchef etc, knowing about le creuset and castiron meme
>>9052744
Possibly partially maybe. A lot of the tools also make the cooks job a lot easier than the alternatives, which makes recommending them a very normal decision. Instead of frustration you can just replace the tool with something else that does a similar job.
Cast iron dutch ovens and skillets are basically cookware 101 that everyone should have. Replace with any skillet or dutch oven you have if you happened to buy something different.
Food processors and blenders can in many cases be replaced by some combination of whisk + bowl, knife + board or mortar + pestle. The appliances just make whatever you're trying to do a lot faster and easier and give you a more uniform, smooth and consistent outcome.
A quick read thermometer makes gauging the doneness of any animal cut easier, taking the guesswork out of it. Many amateur cooks don't really have the experience to guess when a cut of animal they've never cooked before is exactly at the temp they want it to be.
I have never seen any recipe recommend a dehydrator, but I would assume that in a lot of cases a low-temp oven with good air circulation will suffice.
>>9052744
Basically yeah. Real men cook with a microwave. These emasculated nu-males have been cucked by feminists into thinking that you "need" a stove and a hipster oven (or as ((((experts))))) call it, "convection oven") in order to just prepare regular normal food. Do I look like a SJW barista liberal? Fuck that. I've survived with just a microwave and my ka-bar combat recon tactical high speed assault tanto made with CVN-S154 carbon metallurgical powder steel that I sharpen every day with my noviculite stones, what do I need all those fancy disposable gadgets for? Your grandpa didn't use any of that shit, did he? Well if he did I have some bad news for you son: your grandpa is actually your grandMA.
does coke pair well with beere? if yes, what kindo?

This is the only jarred BBW sauce that should exist
>inb4 some high stepping fag starts repping muh expensive craft sauces
If you aren't making your sauce from your own meat drippins and love then just use goddamn The Best BBQ Sauce You'll Ever Taste. There is absolutely no reason for the market to be flooded with this many highfalutin barbeque sauces. The Best BBQ Sauce You'll Ever Taste is actually good too for what it is. It's tangy and smokey. Sauce shouldn't taste like liqour candy. Jack Scalfani is a damn good cook with damn good taste with a damn good BBW, so I trust his sauces.

Do you get the Mexican flavoured corn chip Pringles in the USA? We get them in Australia and they're amazing.
Dad likes Crown Royal so I figured I'd get him a finer whiskey for Father's Day but I don't know shit about whiskey. What's a whiskey that's similar and also finer than Crown?
>>9051551
when it comes to consumer grade stuff (i.e mass produced) Crown Royal is pretty high up.
I would maybe try for a nice regional whiskey. Even if it doesn't taste as good, he will likely enjoy drinking something different for a chagne (and apprecaite the sentiment)
>>9051551
Why not just get what he likes? get a massive bottle
If you love your dad, don't give him a toxin for father's day, marketer shill.
