What should I make with this?
scampi
Mustard gas.

Shrimp and grits. Don't bother battering and deep frying them though, just pan sear them with Creole spices and then serve them on top of the grits with some cheddar.
You know when you go out for coffee and they put those crunchy sweet things on top? What are those things? Not picture here because I don't know what they're called.

Sprinkles? Also called jimmies in some places.
>>9072845
Diabetes.

>when you go out for coffee
you, madam, do not go out for coffee. you go out for a cup of bean flavored sugar water.
there is a difference. learn it.
Hey /ck/
Can anyone please help me identify the grape varieties of these following Cavas (pic related):
1. Bellisco Cava Brut (NV)
2. Bellisco Cava Brut Rosé (NV)
3. Cava Extrem de Bonaval Brut (NV)
I am aware that the first two are a combination of the traditional Cava blend (Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada) but I desperately need the exact percentages of each drink.
Thank you all in advance!
>>9072639
out of curiosity, why do you need the ratios?
>>9072821
I am running a small alcohol business in my country and it's simply a good practice here. No one else sells these drinks here and I was not able to find anything on the internet...
>>9072906
why don't you just ask the manufacturer?
is this really a common occurrence in USA? so people can start eating as soon as they wake up?

It's more that the fat fucks who inhabit these beds aren't able to leave them so need some snacks nearby to preserve the sanity of their fulltime feeders.
Looks like a motel room.
It is the middle of the night, and you are hungry, and potentially drunk as hell.
You don't have any sandwich materials, and even if you did you want something hot.
You are armed only with your microwave and the depths of your own depravity.
What do you make?
you're making this more difficult than it needs to be
I get blackout drunk and eat sticks of butter - I know b/c there are teeth marks in the remains the next day.
tortillas down - butter on - salt on - cheese on - wrap em up - throw em in the mic - 60 seconds - enjoy
sauce -- im drunk and just ate some of this
Rice cream.
Popcorn.
Oats.
Baked Beans.
What short-cuts/Cheats do you use when making food, /ck/?
I use Worcestershire sauce instead of bonito flakes when making miso for myself.
>I use Worcestershire sauce instead of bonito flakes when making miso for myself.

>>9071822
1) How is that a shortcut?
2) It tastes radically different.
>>9071822
i thought miso soup was just miso paste and hot water?
>have a crockpot
>only has two settings
>high and low
>Set to low and put in thermometer with food
>over 190 fahrenheit
How am I supposed to use this if it overcooks all meat?
>>9071223
Most tough cuts of meat get tender at 190F actually, which is what a crockpot is best for. If you're using chicken breast or pork loin you're better off just doing it in a regular pot until it's cooked through, which won't take long anyway.
>>9071223
You use it to braise cheap cuts of meat or slowly simmer sauces all day. You don't try to cook a steak to medium-rare in it.
>>9071255
The breakdown of collagen into gelatin is actually a function of temperature and time. You don't really have to get the meat to 190 to get tender. That is just temperature that the meat reaches when stuck in a 225 degree smoker for 10 hours. If you sous-vide a pork butt for 36 hours at 165 degrees it is about to fall apart as there is absolutely no connective tissue left.
I have to start buying food at the store and cooking it at home so I can save money instead of eating out all the damn time.
but I have a hard time deciding what to eat for an entire two weeks? I usually just eat whatever I feel like but it's not the same if I'm cooking it and it's something I have to eat more than one day in a row.
what do you guys do?
>>9071105
Try making a meal plan. Alternate four to five breakfasts, four to five lunches, and 21 dinners. Preferably the dinners will all have similar ingredients and freeze well. Make double batches when you cook and freeze one to thaw for the following weeks.
As an example, with a whole chicken you can make roast chicken one night, with the rest of the meat you can make Moroccan chicken with tomatoes another night, use the carcass for stock to make soup or cook rice for enchiladas or burritos. Use the extra tortillas for tacos and extra beans for chili which can also use tomatoes.

>Alternate four to five breakfasts, four to five lunches, and 21 dinners
Christ almighty. I eat two meals a day max, if that.
The idea for using the same ingredients is good idea. And I can still make a smaller meal plan.
Go once a week instead. If you only get paid once every two weeks then buy your 'better' or more expensive ingredients the first week and work off a tighter budget the second. You'll have more freedom instead of a two week meal plan.
is sriracha the citizen kane of condiments?
Yeah, because it sucks LMAO
>a meme condiment that idiots only like ironically
yes
Are their ingredients really better? Isn't it all frozen stuff anyway?
>>9071005
>Isn't it all frozen stuff anyway?
how dare you
>>9071005
papa john's is less shitty
good local places will always be better (and more expensive)
So it's basically just a rum & coke without any alcohol?
well it doesn't have the rum part and rum doesn't have cinnamon in it so i don't see how it comes remotely close to being more rum and coke than just coke
Cinnomnom
>>9070877
I think you're confusing rum with fireball whiskey.
Only god tier drinks are allowed in this thread
So only sips?

Even when Sunny D is cold it tastes like warm outdated orange juice.

Purple stuff > Sunny D
How a nut can be this addictive? I just started eating them a week ago and now i cant stop.
Nut?
Those look pretty tasty, what kind of nut is that?
is it activated? is that why it's addictive?
tfw I made a disgusting dish while experimenting
>>9070059
Live and learn. I've done it countless times. Don't be a punk bitch about it, just know that you tried and something didn't work out.
>experimenting
>>9070059
what was it
What music do you listen to while cooking? I usually pop on https://youtu.be/OpIQNxiKJoE
>>9069046
is that even a real song on that staff
because it looks like the most boring melody ever created. how can you write a melody with only C major chords
>>9069080
It's hiphop.
That explains it all
>>9069046
Techno or Dad Rock. I'll fire up some daft punk or pink floyd for a solid beat that gets me in a groove. I also do this when I clean the kitchen after cooking and serving.
I'll typically rock headphones so the people awaiting the meal and afterwards eating their meal can enjoy conversation.
