Are you kidding? I love soup. Beef & barley I make most often. its basically the same everytime depending what i have left around. ingredients are listed in order so you can make it

>minced onion/butter/garlic
>can of shrooms
>beef
>can of tomato paste, then can of diced tomatoes
>canned stock
>pearl barley
>salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin

dinner and then lunch for three days

My nigga. I generally do either that or a simple soup with chicken broth, potatoes, carrots and onions (kind of in a golden ratio proportion) served with tortellini.

Poach a ham shank for an hour or so with onion, carrot, celery.
Honey mustard glaze and roast in a hot oven. Use for sandwiches/salads, etc.
Take the broth, strain and thicken with a roux.
Add diced potato and a good pinch of thyme.
Simmer until potatoes are tender.
Add finely chopped watercress.
Season with pepper. (Should be salty enough from the ham)
