In America, why are 99% of Mexican restaurants cheap and unassuming and 99% of French restaurants expensive and pretentious?
Does Mexico have no haute cuisine? Does France have no cheap and satisfying fare? (I know it does).
Mexicans/Latinos are generally lower/middle class while the French (except for Creole shits I guess) are firmly middle class. If millions of French immigrants had poured into the US since the 1960s, you can bet there would be more low-price French restaurants.
Why aren't you eating naan bread RIGHT NOW, anon? This shit is delicious
Growing up my family would buy this all of the time and then nothing that went with it. It'd just be dry defrosted naan bread instead of toast with eggs, bacon and potatoes. I don't know what they were trying to accomplish with that.
Starbucks removed all the coffee and hot espresso drinks off their menu.
Something as basic as a brewed coffee is now a "secret" menu item, how do you feel about that?
there are three glasses with these representative colors.. . you can pick which you want first. wat do.
I'm thinking about making pumpkin and dark chocolate ravioli with butterscotch whisky sauce how does it sound

Growing up, my mother and nonna always made an oil pasta dish with pork belly and broccoli. When I started making it myself, I added sundried tomatoes. This is my favorite meal but for the life of me I don't know what it's called or the origin of the dish.
>cup or so of olive oil in a pan over medium heat
>cubes of pork belly or small strips (maybe 3cm long by 1cm wide) in the pan, cook until almost done
>minced garlic in the pan
>set aside while bringing water to boil
>penne in, cook until 80% done, add in tiny florets of broccoli to cook for the remainder of the time
It's very cheap and easy to make, but what is it called?
Is crust dip popular anywhere?
Never seen someone order it, never seen someone eat it, never seen anyone talk about it.
It's on the menu so I assume it goes somewhere (unless shops love burning money).
Pizza dip sauces. Love em, hate em?
>natural sweets (fruits) mixed with artificial sweets (ice cream, cake)
Anyone else think these taste awful and they don't combine at all?
Is there any food that doesn't taste better with the objectively greatest ingredient?
What is wrong with my sweet potato/yam? I was washing it and scraped off much of he skin, and it's got all this discoloration. Why isn't it orange? Why is it blueish?
>drive thru has two lanes
>have to merge after ordering
>pick open lane
>order and beat the other car to the merge
Does anyone mind making me some mirepoix and mailing it to me?
>be excellent at cooking
>be out of food and too lazy to shop >ordered a build your own slam for breakfast, delivery because fuckit. >Total 16$. Ouch.jpeg
>Delivery charges suck.
>Totally worth it.
>order potatoes, pancakes (so fluffy!), English muffin, Turkey bacon (not to be healthy just because I like it more), and they threw in a handful of ketchup packets and the largest amount of butter possible.
>Get to eating.
>Also throw on some strawberry jam, and some hot sauce on them tots.
>Done w potatoes and bacon. >Already full because I've been not eating as much lately I guess. >Realize it's all carbs, all bread and stuff.
>Realize I basically paid 16$ for bread.... gonna have to finish it.
>no regrets anons
