What is the proper way to make milkshakes at Jack-In-The-Box?
Regular
>fill 1/4th cup with shakemix
>had 2 pumps of syrup
>fill rest of cup with shakemix, but stop before the line, do not completely fill cup or else it'll spill while mixing
Large
>fill 1/4th of cup with shakemix
>add 3 pumps of syrup
Now there's a certain way you're supposed to finish filling the cup with shakemix so it's a complete serving every time and that there's no weird dollop hanging over the cup. There's a way you're supposed to mix it that makes the syrup evenly distributed. How do you do that?

why are your shake machines always "broken" late at night/early morning?
I just want my damn shake.
>>9123626
Maintenance.
What the fuck is shake mix?
What are the chances that this is any good?
It'll probably be fine. Not amazing, although it seems like they went for a pretty fancy style with the sammie's ingredients.
Buy it & try it.
What triggers your timbers /ck/?

Anyone else hate fruit?
I've always hated sweet sickly stuff. It tastes like pure diabetes. Even as a kid I hated candy and preferred chocolate. The texture of everything but bananas is also horrible.
I like savoury stuff and bitter stuff. Earthy root vegetables. Traditional English ale. Strong coffee.
I tried forcing myself to eat fruit but all I've found tolerable are clementines, blueberries, and raspberries. Starting to get sick of smoothies too which was my go-to trick.
you don't need to eat fruit
I used to but then I learned to enjoy it
yes welcome to the autistic picky eater club, youre very special just like everyone else
What are you eating today?
Gone for a cream and salmon pasta
>>9123211
that looks pretty bad, im sure it will look better once you have added the salmon though.
>>9123211
terrible. take a lap.
put some minced parsley or some herb in it at least to make it look like you tried.

>chefs carefully selected from around the country to compete for the prestigious prize of becoming head chef at _______
>can't even cook a risotto, scallop or a meat entre that isn't raw
>every single season
Seriously, is this 100% a meme?
yes
It's more about the Ramsay standard shit. Though there are some seriously retarded chefs.
I'm actually interested in how they select the contestants. You can get tickets to the actual restaurant while it's filming a year in advance but how do they select the 'chefs'
is a hotdog a sandwich?

Fried chicken is also a sandwich

It sure is.

On a technicality, yes. It's kinda like a sub-sandwich.

Which would you choose! Strawpoll decideds ALL!

not a fucking content, honestly
Meh, I eat two fried eggs on toast. Over easy fried in butter, still warm gooey yolk. Salt, pepper. Fork and knife as my utensils.
Like something semi sweet to drink, juice with ice or iced tea. To me, the ideal breakfast for regular consumption....sometimes I like more, sometimes I like less, but this on average is the "regular" ideal breakfast
What about you?
I don't eat breakfast but I like breakfast foods.
So, I reserve it for dinner... which means this isn't filling enough.

Isn't that many eggs that often bad for your health?
In Australia there is a sweet Brioche loaf you can buy in the supermarket, made by a company called La Fournee Doree.
Does anyone have a recipe which will make a similar product.
The flavour of my brioche is pretty good, but the density is too heavy. I'm not entirely sure why the brioche I make always comes out 'heavier'.
Any recipes or help is appreciated.
>>9122549
Also, my brioche tends to dry out and be inedible faster.
Is the dough meant to be very moist and the flour used high protein?
It sounds like the issue might be how you work your dough, rather than your recipe itself.
Also preservatives.
>>9122549
>La Fournee Doree
That shit is global.
It's available in Europe and North America also.
>diet: omelette based
Eggs are a great diet food.
Very satisfying due to protein volume, but only 80-100 calories an egg.
Eating 500 calories of eggs will really fill you up.
Shame about cholesterol though. But its dangers are disputed, I don't know what to believe.

does anyone sous vide?
what are your experiences with it and how much did it cost?

I signed up for Anova cooking last year. It was the Black Friday special so the signup fee was only $19.99 and I got the first 7 SousCredits for free. So basically I got to cook my first week's worth of food for nothing.
It might sound expensive at $1.99 per SousCredit but remember, this is restaurant-quality cooking, at home. And if you click like on their Facebook posts every day you get a free SousCredit every five likes. So you're basically getting $1.99 in free money just for being on Facebook, and you're already on Facebook obviously since you can't cook without signing in first.
My sister doesn't even have Facebook so she can't use sous vide machines. Paranoia is a sad disease.
>>9122495
Got an Anova black friday a year or so ago. It's not really worth the effort.
Most common mistake I see people make is overcooking their food. Even if you are just maintaining temp those proteins and connective tissues continue to break down.
Advice would be, for cuts of meat without tons of connective tissue, choose your preferred doneness and then cook at that level for the minimum amount of time necessary to insure food safety.
I just tried this earlier, why the fuck do they put so much mayonnaise on it? It was pretty good, but the mayonnaise was almost overwhelming.
bk classic > that crap
>>9122459
The cheap chicken (barely) patty and 12.5 cent hamburger bun would taste dry without it. They are pretty tasty, but I agree there's way too much mayo. I guess they think whoever is ordering the cheapest things at freaking Mcdonalds, is going to want all the fat and salt they can get for their buck.
>>9122464
I eat their nuggets sometimes, but it's kinda like chicken foam. Are their sandwiches the same? Because since all fast food costs pretty much the same, I'm better off going to Chik-fil-a for a real chicken sandwich for 3.65.
