Hey so I found this British style bacon [At the british store it was called danish bacon] and I'm not sure how I want to prep this. Is it sandwhich vacon, or can I gave this with like toast and eggs?

>Is it sandwhich vacon, or can I gave this with like toast and eggs?
You could do either.
>>9181679
>Pork loin with water added
That's meme ham.
>>9181679
Have it in a sandwich with lots of Wilson's Gravy.
I found a mug of wine in a dark, enclosed area I don't normally enter three months after a party.
My lack of spare closet cleaning has brought new life into the world.
Look at it.
It has these interesting red, shiny spots on the right.

You guys know any good uses for pizza dough other than making pizza? I made one and have leftover dough for two more but don't really feel like more pizza
>>9181494
Pizza buns!
Put it on your head and run around your house. Don't act like that's what you were going to do any way anon.
Calzone?
This might be more of a business/cook/food thread.
I have been living in Napa for a few months now, and am moving there permentantly. Frankly, I hate the food scene there... even though it is one of the best in country (there are multiple michellin rated, Chefs Institute of America, and the wine.)
I like my Pho, Chinese Dumplings, Churches chicken, and cheap Filipino food more, but I can't help but not ignore this "fancy" old white lady mecca I live in.
What kind of restaraunt or preferably delivery service would you try to start in old white lady, vineyard heaven?
I was leaning towards chuatuerrie, anti-pasta, brettljause for $30 for a large plate for 4.
What are your ideas, that could possibly sell well?
"elevate" the cheap shit you like and sell it for way more than it's worth.
Make sure you sell local wines
They eat that shit up
>>9181180
If the demographic is old people then they won't want a delivery service, they'll want a proper restaurant. The delivery service will appeal to millenials who are afraid of social interaction, not old people.
Alright, so I'm making wonton soup, but I forgot to buy spring onions for the filling.
Would leeks work instead?
>>9181176
Sure, that's close enough.
Probably the best thread I've ever seen on /ck/
Leek will work great for the won ton filling.

Whenever I get a fat itch, I'll buy this and a mini bag of doritos. Good combo.
Have you ever tasted the "granita"? It's a traditional semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings, typical of Sicily, Italy.
>>9180417
Have you ever tasted Granita The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a food the Romans would make you. It’s a Sicilian dish. Granita was a Semi-Frozen Dessert of the Sugar, so powerful and so wise it could use the Flavour to influence the tastebuds to create life… It had such a knowledge of the dark side that it could even keep the ones it cared about from diebetus. The dark side of the Flavour is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. It became so powerful… the only thing it was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, it did. Unfortunately, it taught its apprentice everything it knew, then its apprentice fed it concentrated mountain dew it in its sleep. Ironic. It could save others from diabetus, but not itself.
>>9180417
Yeah, it's basically sherbert or shaved ice, depending where you get it. Lemon and orange are my favorites.
It's pretty shit. I'd rather have just a piece of fruit.
Who likes pâté? I usually can enjoy anything, but I feel like a total pleb because pâtê is so unpleasant to me.
>>9180416
I make mine at home,
easiest thing in the world sauteeing some chicken livers with onions and butter then blending it with some softened butter.
It's a peasant food that rich people developed a taste for.
Don't worry about it, keep eating your prime rib and burgers.
>>9180416
I do, it's good on some sandwiches (like banh-mi) and even just bread. I also like to eat it on hard boiled eggs sometimes.
Maybe you just haven't found a recipe you like.
Mine comes in a can, its okay I guess, I dont see what the big deal about it is
Is it okay to drink pickle juice from the jar?
Yeah if you like drinking straight vinegar
>>9180141
I've heard you can use it to make a sourdough bread infused with a nice dill taste
>>9180141
no. you have to pour it into a cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of pickle. the traditional toast with vinegar is to shout: VIE, VIE, NIGGER.
Anybody know a good way to cook canned dog food?
>>9180121
I mean like, A good recipe
>>9180121
I cook my dogs food myself. usually either boil some chicken and veggies with some rice or some other grain or I just get a rotisserie chicken from the deli and throw in some cooked frozen veggies
>>9180136
I always thought that gave them diarrhea
Let's talk about drinks. What are some refreshing mixed summer drinks?
Water mixed with sprite
Mojito is always damn good. Kind of a pain for the bartender to make though, so I don't order it often. Pina Colada is also something that makes the heat bearable.

What will vegans eat when its discovered that plants feel pain?
>>9179518
hopefully shitposters like you
>>9179518
Plants don't feel pain but they can get stressed when damaged. It's been shown that they'll release certain chemicals when being attacked by pests to "alert" other nearby plants. It might not be "pain" but it's stress on a form of life. Don't unnecessarily damage plants, but obviously they suffer less than animals since some plants use being eaten as a way to spread seeds around.
Maybe after lab-grown meat is available and veganism becomes pointless because of that, we'll see new kinds of lab-grown plants. Might be interesting.
>>9179724
Also it seems like some plants mainly don't want to be eaten by something that will entirely destroy it and stop it from reproducing like pests or herbivores, but that might not matter to them since we replant their seeds/roots and continue their survival.
