You have to stop. Once your digestive system blatantly rejects food, that's a sign to stop.
Why does water only taste good when it's cold and running? Like from a hose, or from a tap, or from a squirt gun
Moving water = refreshing and alluring, still water that you are self pouring = a bore and not very good
probably the same reason that coffee tastes bad when it's room temperature. The fact that it is cold, masks the taste.
Don't know what you're talking about EuroFilth, but in America our water is flavored.

Mmm, nothing quite like frack'd water. Did you try lighting it on fire yet? Our current crop of overlords would be quite proud of you if it caught fire. You could be the poster child at the next convention.
I had the burger artisans craft me a meal today, is this journyman tier or master tier?

I fucked up on cupcakes. They're not sweet enough and the entire part that was is the mold is burnt to heck. What can I do to salvage the insides? Are there any recipes that require precooked cake?
Also I clearly overmixed them.

Is brown butter sauce supposed to taste sweet and slightly like caramel, or do you just have to cook it more to get the "nutty" taste people talk about?
>>9426490
Did you add sugar to it or something?
>>9426495
In America the butter comes pre-sugared.

Depends, are you in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Nashville or coastal South Carolina?
That works.
What's your secret to good popcorn ck?
>>9426376
Starting with good popcorn. Anson Mills has some great stuff that's a fuck of a lot more tasty than the mass market crap.
I just cook it in a pot. For maximum flavor use a tasty fat to pop the corn in, like duck or goose fat reserved from a roast. Bacon dripping is good too.
>>9426376
cumin
I use a popcorn machine, and just add the popcorn flavorings to the oil before i add the kernels. Then, after it's done, I lightly salt it and toss it in the fucking garbage can, because popcorn is for children.
What would an elephant steak taste like?
Also, would you eat it red?
>>9426317
It'll taste like beef I guess. I'm not sure if our forefathers actually hunted mammoths, but if they did, it's probably because they tasted fine. I wouldn't eat it red, because those things are probably riddled with unknown parasites.

Do Africans really do this?
>>9426392
Yes. It's called bush meat.
What's your favorite rabbit recipes, /ck/? I've got five rabbits to butcher and I'm looking for something slightly more interesting than the usual rabbit roasted with vegtables.
Let's get some tasty organ recipes, too, we aren't shy here.

My neighborhood is absolutely crawling with these fuckers -- they're fat and bold and have little to no fear of man; I can walk to within three feet of them on my property before they react. Any tips/caveats on capturing some for food purposes?
>>9426199
Snare traps are the usual choice, but in a suburban environment you're likely to kill someone's pet. I would suggest live-capture cage traps that are used to catch raccoons and squirrels, since yours are so big, use the raccoon-sized traps. Smaller rabbits would be caught by squirrel-sized cage traps.
They're pretty dumb and harmless, so once you catch them it's all clear. The only thing to be aware of is to not let them kick you, their legs are quite strong.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me find some alternatives to dairy.
Long story short, my husband has a is slightly lactose intolerant. By slightly, I mean that he can eat cheese and yogurt and drink milk, but it gives him pretty bad heartburn and he gets really congested.
So I was looking for alternatives for both just eating and cooking.
The man loves his cereal and cheese, so I wanted to find some alternatives for him, or maybe some different milk sources that don't tend to mess with a lactose intolerant person as much.
I live in California if that helps as far as brands to buy.
So I'm looking for:
-Cheeses (if any)
-Substitutes to cook with
-Substitutes for everyday things like cereal and oatmeal
Thanks so much!
Lactose-free milk.
dissolve powdered coffee-mate in some hot water then let cool and put in fridge = coconut/palm milk.
I'm lactose intolerant myself, so I can give you some suggestions.
1. Lactose free milk is pretty good, but so is flax milk, almond milk, and soy milk. Soy and flax are the most neutral flavored.
2. For cooking, I find that I can tolerate canned evaporated milk, since it's been basically cooked. It works great in anything you'd use regular milk in. I also use a lot of coconut milk, especially in indian and asian foods.
3. Cheese is going to be hard. I've never found a non-dairy cheese that I like, and I've tried LOTS. That said, I've found that hard cheeses like parmesan, romano, aged cheddar, gruyere, etc don't give me any problems, it has sonething to do with the aging process making them very low in lactose.
4. The brand "Tofutti" makes a very acceptable sour cream replacement that I really like.
5. I can't remember the actual brand name, but the brand that makes "veganaise" makes really good dairy-free blue cheese and ranch salad dressings.
6. Google the recipe for making tofu "ricotta ". It actually turns out really well, and works great in baked dishes.
Any other questions, I'd be happy to answer.

Should rice in a paella be crunchy?
I made one just now, I nailed the flavours perfectly but the texture of the rice got on my nerves. It was too crunchy at the bottom. All the recipes say that it should be burnt at the bottom but I fucking hated it.
What should I do?
Make it softer next time
>>9425698
Use fabric softener.

How do I do this. Do I use more water?
they don't think it be the way it is, but it do.
How much does the entire McDonald's menu cost? I've just learned that I would like to go up to a counter and order one of everything.

Cracker Barrel sucks so fucking much. I had a gift card there, so I went to the one in my town. It was absolute shit. Why the fuck do people like that place?
