What is /ck/'s opinion on the Television show. Good Eats?
One of my favorite past times is cozying up to a good fire and a good meal, while tuning into an episode of Good Eats.

Iron Chef was better.
maybe the best television cooking program.
essential viewing for anyone just learning how to cook.
>>7067891
Right?
It's informative, and fun. His jokes are safe, but funny, and he doesn't just teach you how to make a meal, he teaches you how to make the perfect meal. And in a way that even the simplest of people can understand.
How do you folks take your water?
I prefer mine mildly chilled, no salt or pepper, no mustard, served in a tall, transparent cup/glass
Well done

from the tap

The water molecule is made of two hydrogen atoms bonded to a larger oxygen molecule at a specific angle. This molecule looks like Mickey Mouse's head. Mickey Mouse is known for saying "hOh hOh!" Mickey Mouse was created by Walter Disney. the letter M comes from an ancient cuniform for water. Coincidence? They don't exist mate.
Philly Cheesesteak sandwich vs ham sandwich
which one /ck/?
>>7067565
Ham sandwich
It's called a cheesesteak
Definitely ham.

Americans genuinely like McDonalds.
This about that next time an American talks about food.

What does /ck/ think of my 3:30am onion rings?
>>7067023
Certainly look like onion rings (y)
Why are onion rings so difficult for so many people?
At my last restaurant I was pretty much the only cook who could put out consistently good quality onion rings, as opposed to stuck together, half the batter falling off, burnt pieces of shit.
It's not really that much different than anything else on fry.
My fucking chef would have me stick around and make a third pan or two of par cooked onion rings so the people working after me would basically have pre-made shit they just had to heat up.
>>7067032
*a third pan or two of par cooked onion rings to throw in the freezer
>peanut butter cups in a hamburger
>Canadians will defend this
>>7067013
is this real life?
>>7067013
What's inside the patty? is that more chocolate and peanut butter?
I was KINDA willing to consider trying the peanut butter cup garnish, but if there's that much chocolate and peanut butter in it, that's a bit too much of an ask. How did that leave the test kitchen?
It kinda reminds me of the Ben and Jerry's Jimmy Fallon flavor (with potato chips inside), which turned out to be pretty good, but this is something else entirely.
>>7067013
I won't defend it as a Canuck. Peanut butter cups are trash tier candy.
I want a Smarties version!
So here is my small habenaro yield, not much but I'm proud of them my first food I've grown, in a apt.
So what should I do with them? I want to pickle some but I've never done that I have jars though. I could google stuff but I'm trapped in /ck/ for ever.
more interested in tips on growing in an apt desu

Those look pretty good, I'd put them into a chile, add them when it's about done. I've found over time that the orange habaneros loose their heat and flavor if cooked for a long time.
Interestingly that's not the same for chocolate habaneros. This is the time of the year to get them if you can.
>>7066973
Do you have sunlight and heat? If you answered yes to both then you can grow peppers. They're pretty resiliant.
What's your opinion on gabagool, /ck/?
>>7066952
>gabagool
Why are American-Italians such inbred hicks that can't even speak proper Italian?

Yo gabagabagool?

>tfw all the ramen joints are staffed entirely by chinese people
Does ethnicity matter when it comes to Asian cuisine?
Considering Ramen was introduced to japan by chinese... yah.... fucking dumb weab cunt
>hurr cooking is genetics
Go kill yourself pls
One of the best ramen places I've been to was staffed by white people.
Deal with it, nerd.
For me it is the McChicken, the best fast food sandwich
>>7066750
No.

I feel terrible just looking at pictures of their food. literally shit tier
It's my sister's birthday soon, I can never find good presents for her. She likes to cook cupcakes, slices, and she decorates them with little icing flowers and shit. She's especially proud of her red velvet and salted caramel cupcakes.
Any idea what kind of present someone like that would like? I checked out ebay but I can't find anything that isn't either a gimmick or super cheap.
Ideas are very appreciated!
>>7066586
Bring Ja/ck/ in to sample her cupcakes
>>7066586
Get her an easy bake oven for laughs and giggles.
your sister needs to get dicked
this is not joke. we are looking at a catlady situation here.
>There are people who don't buy 50%+ of their groceries from the 99 cent store
What is your justification?
They sell almost everything the major stores do but for less.
>>7066509
Except now they charge more than 99 cents for a lot of the products they sell.
Fucking dishonest pricks.
>>7066509
>not buying your groceries at Aldi
And the poor quality shows.
These stores are so widespread they have products packaged in oddly small sizes in order to make a profit at 99 cents. Its not always a good deal.
