Questions that don't deserve their own thread.
I'm making chicken and shrimp fajitas later today, and I've got some cilantro. I really like the taste, but when during the cooking process should I add it?
When the onions and peppers are cooking?
When I add the meats to the onion and pepper?
When plating?

This isn't /fit/, you sperg
Legitimate questions always deserve their own thread
It's the only way to fight the flood of fast food and joey shitposting
Anyway add the cilantro at the end
>>7073556
but if I would have started a thread asking just this question it would already be over. Thanks though.

>but if I would have started a thread asking just this question it would already be over
You mentioned cilantro. Violence is guaranteed.
My girlfriend just got a new job so I'm ready to spend ~$200 tonight at dinner. I live in Boston, where should we go? I was just thinking Top of the Hub for the view but I'm open for any other suggestions. I'd love some A5 steak.
fuck you, go shove some steamers up your asses
>>7073526
It's ok dude, you can't go full sperg every time someone mentions their girlfriend
take her to a Michelin starred place or something
who /chips/ here?
chips are god tier. kettle cooked are OK but nothing beats Classc.
/Americans/ general
>>7073493
Classic is too greasy and soft. Kettle chips or bust.
Who /JalapenoCheddar/ master race here?
>>7073493
Too time consuming and messy to eat. If I'm eating a quick snack to sustain me for a little bit, chips are out of the question.
Unless, of course, you like bathing in that greasy feeling.
Why do hipsters think I'm impressed just because they can afford a super expensive cappucchino (that's a new kind of hip, fashionable italian coffee with whip cream on top).
I'm way above that. I only drink black coffee. You can't even get black coffee at those new hipster cappuchino stores like the new Starbucks. But that's ok because hipsters couldn't handle black bitter coffee for grown-ups like me.
Pic related, it's one of the new intimidatingly cool "lifestyle choices" that these hipsters like to adopt in order to make me feel bad.

There is a strong irony in this post.
Tip for Americans: Look up the definition of irony.

>>7073326
Hello American. You appear to have missed the joke I made. Shall I explain it for you?
My sister is a plebstation 3, and asked me for a spongecake for her birthday.
I don't bake the often, and the receipe I use is way to fluffy when cutting, filling and frosting.
Can I have a good spongecake recipe.?
Is there anyway to spice it up? I was thinking about
>vanilla cake layer
>chocolate layer
>vanilla layer
Filled with buttercream and raspberry preserves and frosted with buttercream
Freeze cake partial. Fluff no more brick. Good cut fill frost.
Whats the difference between a genoise and a sponge cake?
>>7073328
A genoise is a sponge cake that is air leavened, not chemically leavened like a conventional sponge cake
What would you make out of 2 tuna cans?
Cat food.

What do you think of this pizza, /ck/?
>>7073085
Did you ask for extra crust?
I think the person who sliced it has cerebral palsy
>>7073097
That person must hate their job so much. And that's coming from me.
Is there a food/ingredient that everyone usually loves but you can't stand? I just can't eat mushrooms. I've tried. The texture is the worst, flavor make me wanna vomit. Tomatoes are a big one too. Any sandwich that has tomatoes has to be completely thrown away. Even if I remove the tomato the juice leaks onto the sandwich completely ruining it.
Anything spicy. If I wanted my mouth and ass on fire I'd use a blowtorch
>>7073082
I love the taste of mushrooms, but the texture makes me hurl. Properly blended mushroom soup for instance is no problem. But if I feel the tiniest bit I need all my willpower to not throw up.
>itt: babby mouths.
I bet you'll cowards don't even eat viper flavor ice cream.
Weekly coffee thread
Picked up a new french press; i've been making delicious coffee. Usually grab beans from a local cafe.
However, I have a question for you: what does folgers coffee taste like? I've never had it before, and people are always calling it "shit coffee". I still see it on every grocery shelf though, so there has to be some reason people buy it. Is it any good?
+ general coffee bread
It's cheap coffee for people who don't care about taste. I have a manual burr grinder that I grind my beans with, and usually go for a French press. I just got a new one too.
Does anyone actually use a vacuum pot? Like, regularly? They seem like a pain.
>>7072934
>Does anyone actually use a vacuum pot?
I've never seen one irl. I imagine it's mostly a hipster coffee house thing.
>>7072923
Folgers is a hold over brand from when everyone just wanted lots of cheap coffee. At one point, the price war was so bad between brands that they were stretching the coffee grounds with wood pulp and other fillers.
They established themselves as one of the several popular pre-ground coffee providers decades ago and lots of people see their parents drinking it, and just decide to buy that because it's what they're use to seeing.
It tastes awful, and many, at least here in the US, mask the flavor with coffee creamer and sugar. Many drink it just for the caffeine and not the flavor.
Women do 99% of the world cooking.
So why are all the best chef men?
girls just pretend to like cooking and food.
men are sincere.
>>7072899
If I recall correctly, I've remembered meeting a lot more males that cook, well, versus womyn that cook.
Because actual line cooks cook as much as a housewife cooks in a year every single night?
>just mash up an avocado with a can of sardines and spread it on some whole grain toast
>that's how i lost so much weight and got healthy
>never mind the benzos and aa
>>7072884
Typical leftest redditor shitting on a white Christian male.
i eat sardines even though i hate them.
muh omega 3.
my favorite food is sardines stuffed with fish oil pills
gotta get them omega 3s
Pancake Plates, seriously how cool is this idea?
>>7072880
The OG plate was just a piece of bread, you ate your food and then ate the plate in the middle ages.
>>7072880
>Plates get soggy
>Can't reuse plates
>shitload of extra food cost
>Probably a health code violation to serve foodstuffs without a vessel, meaning your edible plate would still need a plate

Maybe if you were a fucking hipster.

Dear /ck/,
I've recently started cooking and eating at home in an effort to eat BETTER and CHEAPER and one of the things on my lists of "must leanr how to make" is pizza.
How does one make pizza, /ck/? Please tell me how to make pizza: any and all discussion on sauces, dough, toppings or personal recipes would be appreciated and loved as I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.
Though if we're getting into specifics I'd REALLY love to learn how to make a PAN pizza since I have a fairly large skillet at home that I could make some pretty big pizzas with.
Thanks in advance.
here ...,,,,, u go

pizza is one of the easiest things 'cause even if you fuck it up, it'll likely still taste good.
if the crust is too thin and crunchy? still good.
if the is really soft and fluffy? still good.
>>7072806
my problem is always undercooked crust. pizza is seriously impossible without a stone.
