tips for best tomato based pasta sauce?
i always throw some pork neckbones in with it. this comes from my moms side of the family. she had 8 siblings and were poor as fuck. so that was their meat.
i usually make a massive pot of sauce that lasts a couple dinners after i freeze whats left.

There was an episode of No Reservations, and one of the crew members invited 'tony to his mother's house for some 'sta. She used a couple bottles of what looked like tomato juice. Then she loaded it down with Italian sausages, pork necks, beef bones, ground beef, etc.
It looked like the most amazing 'sta I've ever seen. And 'tony was really into it.
So I tried that. I just bought a lot of meat and added it to jarred 'nara. Best 'sta I've ever had.
brown the shit out of your meat.
could be pork, beef, sausage, whatever. just brown it really, really well.
remove the meat, then cook your tomato sauce in the leftover pan drippings. use a wooden spoon to get up the stuck-on bits.
those pan drippings are your ticket to flavor town.
I recently started taking cooking more seriously and decided to make meatloaf which I found super easy to cook and with a lot of room for creativity

How do I tell my spouse that most of the food they cook sucks. The food that they make is hardly edible and we always end up with left overs that end up thrown in the trash.
However she hates the fact that whenever i cook, everyone likes it.
I mean she even fucks up scrambled eggs. She will add garlic powder and fry them in olive oil and over cook them.
I feel like dying everytime she makes breakfast.
Would help if you gave more examples. Don't see anything wrong with garlic, and olive oil would be fine in moderation.

Why does skim milk exist?
Growing up it's all my parents ever bought, now that I live on my own I only buy whole milk.
It lasts WAY longer, it tastes better, and because some of the vitamins in milk are fat soluble, it's better for you.
Was skim milk a health food scam akin to margarine?
>>7124779
>it's lower in fat
Mystery solved, chief.
>>7124779
A lot of people can't control themselves and their portion control so they choose to eat low-fat and fat-free versions of dairy products sop they can continue to be a glutton and gorge themselves on it.
That and a lot of people have bought into the "ALL FAT IZ BAD 4 YOOOO" meme propagated by the food industry to increase sales of their "healthier" products since they can get away with charging more for them thereby increasing their revenues.
Skimmed milk is a by-product of butter making. So naturally people found a way to market it and sell it.

What is some really good food I could cook for a Japanese girl who is going to visit me soon? She is in Germany only for one week and I want her to come back because my food was so stunning. I thought about something very meaty as meat in Japan is pretty expensive. What do you think?

feed her your meaty penis
>>7124331
depends on if you want to give her something "exciting" to eat or something comforting. Make comfort food if you don't want her to feel awkward and give her food that's new and she'll hate. Make exciting food if you want to play it off as a game and make it a cute taste testing date.
Both are good, but know how to play your cards right (and know your audience!)

I did my first day of the fourth week a few hours ago, it's 10:40pm. I'll probably go get a small burger meal from mcdonalds later if no one stops me ;_;
I don't think anyone here knows what the fuck you're on about.

How does this taste? Is it better than Coca-Cola?
>>7124271
Most colas are better than coca cola.
>>7124271
It's okay. Not really worth the price honestly.
It's completely different from Coca-Cola. They brew it from roots and shit and you can taste a lot of different flavours. It's a nice treat once in a while.
This is much better though. Wish they sold it around here.
Hi cooking enthusiasts.
(trigger warning for vegetarians out there, I have a carnivore question)
I'd like to ask is there generally something wrong with pork bone broth?
I was looking for recipes for broths (for joint health, instead of pills) and found the following on a website:
> The bones and cartilage of most meats can be used, including poultry, beef, lamb or fish. Pork bones are not generally used for making broth that is cooked for many hours and stored to be re-heated and used later
I don't cook a lot, but this surprised me. And logically, pork is pretty close to us humans on the evolutionary tree so that was what I was kinda looking to cook with.
Your source is retarded, look up tonkotsu broth.
>>7124160
>And logically, pork is pretty close to us humans on the evolutionary tree so that was what I was kinda looking to cook with.
Wait, wot
I don't know why it's less common in the west. I can't think of a good reason it's not used. Tonkotsu broth is delicious and arguably the best broth for ramen.
